  • I have loved his voice since the first time i heard him,Brill,

  • i love him ....

  • How come Joe had a more dramatic setting and lighting than Andy?

  • Congratulations Joe, I watched through the x factor and again through this, I reckon you will be around when others have gone off the rador. Absolutely loved it, Well done Joe, I am sure your Mum and Dad are very proud of you and so they should bexBeth

  • Such control for one so young. If you decides to persue this kind of music he could be world class in a few yrs. Joe' s tone makes me melt.... totally stunning.!!

  • This is one aria that most 20 year old pop lovers, with limited knowledge of opera, will know. What a moment for Joe at his age to get the opportunity to sing it so well on a national TV show. The producers of the show must be clapping their hands at getting Joe McElderry on singing operatic arias to this standard. A total scoop for them.

  • You are the great singer Joe.You win.

  • Really beautiful Joe, I would love to sing with you <3

  • This was fantastic !! Every bit as good as when Darius Campbell sang it last year. Joe has such a beautiful voice and he really is very talented. I hope he wins this and even if he doesn't.. I hope he'll study classical singing and opera anyways. He's performed in numerous plays and shows... this could be very beneficial to his career. Keep up the good work Joe !! America's rooting for you too !!

  • @jaxgal618 Darius version of Nessun Dorma was awful, first of all because he misacted it. I know the opera Turandot, and compared to Darius Joe does it correct. Nessun Dorma is not a cheezy lovesong, like Darius does it, it's a very dramatic aria where NN prince Calaf has made a pact with the dangerous, evil and beautiful Princess Turandot, she can have him killed at dawn if she can find out who he is, and/or still doesn't love him. Alone in the dark night, Calaf's sure he'll win, - Vincero! :)

  • I wonder if the comments that were removed were from Simon Cowel & Oily Murs what a couple of Muppets, ha ha.

  • I love Joe... I'd be proud if he were my own son.... Hope to see more of him in America

  • Joe is just simply amazing, I can't stop watching this! Joe puts so much passion into his performances, he's just amazing!

  • Even if he chooses not to pursue a career in opera, he needed to get with David Foster and produce an album like Josh Groban's first two.

  • Bravo Joe. That was fantastic!!!

  • It's nice to see him, again on tv. He's great but the x factor stage is huge compared to this one, definitely he already won the show before it started he's got a huge public besides him, plus he really deserves it.

  • just fabulous x

  • Well done Joe

  • How can K.Jenkins say he is lacking in passion, The feeling Joe put into this aria is awesome. He is so young and yet to experience life, yet there was enough feeling in this to move me. Simon Scowel should be ashamed at the way his co Syco treated him, His loss though.

    Well done Joe

    #votejoe

  • OMG someone show this to Cowell who threw him out his record label..

Uhm?? seriously?!!! Joe's the last person he should throw out, soo talented!!!

    Just WOOWW!!

  • Joe is the only one who can win. He has a voice, charisma and willingness to learn.

  • I still have chills I listen to this over and over... I grew up listening to Pavarotti and the Three Tenors and my God this is just beautiful WTG JOE!

  • I've lost count how many times I've watched this performance.Joe is just totally amazing.I'[m just lost for words because there's nothing this young man can't do.

  • Joe has now introduced me into opera, at first i didn't want him to go onto this show, but it's one of the best decisions he's ever made! This is now the most played performance of Joe's that I have, it's simply beautiful! Joe to win PSTOS!

  • When I watched this, I was thinking 'oh my gosh, is Joe going to be able to sing one of the greatest songs of Opera?' I shouldn't have doubted him because that was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!! I can't stop listening to it, and when he reaches that end note, I get tingles... His future is in Opera :) x (Thanks for uploading this) x

  • billiant, another webside with Joe and Nessun Dorma,. Adding them all up, I think the world has becoem very aware of the brilliant performance Joe has given. I am suggesting he ought to sing this in the Royal Variety Show. Anybody with me on this? Joe I can just repeat what all others have said, a stunning performance. I can't stop listening to it.

  • @frauhkmusica I want him to sing at the Last Night of the Proms !

  • I can't stop watching Joe sing this, its frankly amazing. How can he go back to pop music after this.

  • Thank you Simon for dumping Joe. The lad is 1000% better as an opera singer than as a pop singer.

  • @kehoe123321 I do agree of course that Joe should stick to classical songs, but I also understand that Joe is still a very young man and might think it's a bit dull. :) At least to only do classical music, I understand that. And if they gave Joe the right kind of songs, he'd do brilliant in pop aswell. He should do more of 70's popsongs ONLY for great voices, like f. ex. "Annie's song" by John Denver, mixed with more classical songs like "Speak softly love" by Andy Williams. (Godfather Theme)

  • Wow! Chaka Chaka!! how fantastic is this! At last recognition, a beautiful voice from such a likeable young man. The conservatoire is waiting for you Joe.

A big thank you to 12345djbridger for uploading.

  • And @ 0:30 I find it adorable when he says "oh my god" and then that cute face that he made soon afterwards! :-D

  • Does anybody else find Joe attractive in that tracksuit thing of his @ 2:26 ?

  • 20 years old and he is singing Opera like this? What a great voice, go and study Opera Joe. You have a remarkable gift, this is truly a magical performance. Imagine what he will sound like in 10 years time - potentially up there with the greatests of tenors.

  • @csuk73 Yes, I agree. I've been a huge fan of opera and classical music since early childhood, and Joe's one of the best young tenortalents I've ever heard. He amazes me, I don't know how well most people here know opera or classical singers, but the progress he's made just from Una Furtiva Lagrima to this rendition of Nessun Dorma is unbelivable. I've never heard anything like it, most students need months and more of training to do this aria without "cheating" through the difficult parts.

  • @SmaaRoe Completely agree with everything you wrote.

  • Joe only 20 & you can sing like this .... stunning !!

You have proved that you can sing anything If you can sing Nessun Dorma like that with only a few weeks training & no formal training previously then the world is your oyster imo. The performance was pure magic ... well done Joe !!

  • Every time I watch Joe singing this it makes me cry , his voice is so beautiful, I will need salt tablets at this rate! Your crown awaits Joe... You ARE the best...by far

  • Being in the audience, I had the priviledge of hearing this live (btw, not guilty of cheering during his performance - only afterwards! I was awed into silence while he was singing this). Already very used to Joe's spectacular vocals but he just stepped it up to whole new, higher level with this. Gave me goosebumps ... and continues to.

  • A powerful, beautiful and world class performance. So very proud of Joe. With a voice like his, how could he not have a brilliant future ahead? What a gift!

  • i think he was helped by having such an amazing aria to start with - i am not convinced he has that amazing voice wise, way too nasal-y for me, though he does hold the higher notes very well, cheryl baker has richer voice and has more passion..i think people get misled by how much they like the aria itself rather than the true performance

  • @tulpa44 "I think people get misled by how much they like the aria itself rather than the true performance."

Well you obviously did. Cheryl's aria is brilliant. It was designed to reflect her bubbley personality. Others had quite sombre, serious arias. I think Cheryl got a high vote. She was actually better than Claire imo this week because of that aria.

Joe is the only one singing consistently at a high standard. The rest have made errors or faltered on the notes.

  • @PintofGreenTea I absolutely loved his rendition of "Una Furtiva Lagrima" and I had never heard it before!

  • Awesome.

  • Joe McElderry you have an amazing instrument and you play it excellently. Please UK back this amazing young talent. Hope he receives the support he deserves. Not the ramshackle, poor excuse for a record company that he suffered after proving himself the first time around. The UK is proud of you.

  • @hibbitm he didn't make money... his album was awful... and the songs in the album were 100% different than the style he did in x factor.... simple as that.. the album didn't reflect the potential we wanted to see from him and so he lost it... i don't it's unfair at all.

  • @imcriticizer he was also a young kid with no experience in the music industry and was , and heres the joke, supposed to be managed, mentored, advised and helped, did he get that help, advice and good management? did he b..........y !!!! the potential is still there, if not greater, he just need a good management team with vision and passion!

  • its okay for Katherine to say he needs to give it more passion, but heh ! hes only 20, he needs to fall in love, fall out of love, have his heart broken, walk in the rain, live a little, see a few sunsets, follow a few rainbows before he can understand passion, give him time, give him time!!!!

  • This perfomance was World Class and Joe is World class, He was hidden away from the world by Syco, please someone, the world needs to see this awesome young man soon and I am sure they are all waiting for him. He is by far the best ever winner of any talent show in britain if not the world. This moved me to tears and Joe will win this, by pure talent alone. What a lovely human being this guy is and so modest. Why or why did his record label let him down.

  • wonderful, genuinely amazing. I agree the clapping and shouting is OTT, but his clear and soulfull voice cut through it with no problem. Id buy an album of this tommorrow if i could- but an opera voice is a fragile thing and he needs to take care of it properly especially at his age. Bravissima!

  • This is 1 performance I could watch over and over again.I'm just speechless but ever so proud of you Joe.

  • ABSOLUTLY WONDERFUL BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYES..

PLEASE, PLEASE CANT THE AUDIANCE RESPECT THE SINGERS AND KEEP ALL THE CHEERING TILL THE END THEY SPOIL WHAT IS OTHER WISE A PERFECT PREFORMANCE. WELL DONE JOE XXX

  • I agree. At least if he does persue a career in opera he won't have to put up with all that stupid screaming.

Let's see what happens. At twenty years old, he has plenty of time to study for a classical career as long as he doesn't just become another Russell Watson, recording all the best known arias and then left with nowhere to go. All or nothing please Joe.

  • @mjanes4 lol there's a girl on twitter saying it's her screaming and drowning out his last 2 notes! But maybe ITV want that ... they like to pump up the audience at home as it gets more votes.

  • Wonderful Joe! What a very talented young man.

  • A Very impressive performance from Joe.....such a shame that we have to endure an audience applauding and cheering during and often at the crescendo of a piece, I know it's reality TV, the audience are without doubt encouraged to shout and cheer, but I would prefer to listen to the singer, not a load of hype!

  • djbridger...4 Thumbs Up...

Thank you once again from Laguna Beach, Ca. USA for posting this so quickly...

An incredible performance once again by Joe....

Watching this @ 8:56PM Sunday night....

  • Awesome Joe

  • I was there, Joe was AMAZING!

  • Beautiful!

  • "Amazing" Hope Joe takes Rolando & Katherine's advise & studies opera at a conservatoire. Plenty of time to pursue a career in the world of pop/rock when he is in his middle twenties.

  • OMG Joe you are amazing!! Beautiful performance. Well done~

  • Joe that moved me tonight, your rendering of this aria was beautiful.I urge you to listen to the experts Joe they know what is best for you. • Absolutely stupendous! What an amazing talent. We just don't have enough young, male singing talents in the UK. Joe please bring out a soulful album. You have the voice for it. Seems you can even tackle opera with such amazing diplom!

  • I just cannot believe what I have just heard, This was fantastic He has such a quality to his voice which makes everything he sings enjoyable. Well done Joe that performance will take some beating.

A special thank you to 12345djbridger for posting this for us here in France.

    Jovine in France.

  • Once in a life time a voice like this comes along and here it is! outstanding performance , only 20 years old but a lifetime of passion, emotion and love in every word.... your world awaits, Joe take it with both hands and fly!

    You'll always be my Superman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Joe you are amazing. Is there anything you cannot sing. Wonderful.

  • Wow, I can't belive this. Seriously, the boy is a 20yrd popsinger, he should've murdered an aria like Nessun Dorma, but he surely didn't. I'm sure even Pavarotti applauded this young man from his cloud somewhere, telling the others "See? I told you he could do it!" :) Bravo Joe, this is one of my absolute favourite arias, and you really did it justice, amazing! I'm so impressed, and like KJ and RV I beg you, follow your talent and study opera, please understand how rare a talent like yours is.

  • Thank thank thank you I just love his voice

  • I know he doesn't like the idea of being serious and studying, but i so want him to follow the advice and attend conservatoire! Can't bear to see him wasted. PLEASE JOE!!

  • OMG is there nothing that this fantastically talented young man cant sing. He was absolutely fantastic. Rememberng that he is only 20 years old how could be be so good at such a young age. Well done Joe you should be very proud of yourself.

  • Absolutely brilliant!

I also like to thank you for posting this sooo quick!

  • Thank you thank you. You are a star for getting this up so quickly for Joe's fans overseas.
