  • OMG

  • kick ass dude

  • did u make it?

  • Well played but possible a bit too fast? Yes its a scherzo but some bits still need to be lyrical. Just some advice I got from my teacher! (Im an oboist btw and playing this for my grade 8)

  • I'm workin on this étude for an audition any tips

  • Excellent ! Was that from memory ?

  • great job. great accuracy and speed. I never could get up to this speed. My favorite etude so far.

  • Did you ever make state?

  • Move your fingers not your body, you'll play better.

  • @TheInfaredBeam r u sayin ghe didnt play good enough? dude hes pro and maybe moving around helps him so id stay quiet

  • Very nice. I just started sax less than a year ago, and as I am now starting with Ferling these videos are very helpful.

  • @bigstick0007 Why are you trying to play Ferling if you have played less than a year?

  • nice, I wonder what you're up to now

  • You played this very well. I am from Georgia and I am wondering how far this audition made you there in Texas. I know it is really competitive and I am wondering if this was good enough for All-State or Area. If not, WOAH. it is more competitive than I thought.

  • I play on a selmer super action 80 series II now, but In this video I was playing on a yamaha 62 series with a selmer c* mouthpiece

  • well played. what's your setup? i'm assuming you play on a selmer sax. good job man

  • Hey, can someone help me with this etude???

how do you play those grace note things in measure 1 and 2 and it keeps repeating in the piece???? please help/

  • I used the E-Flat palm key and just hit that before going to the following D-Flat

  • Hey, can someone help me with this etude???

how do you play those grace note things in measure 1 and 2 and it keeps repeating in the piece???? please help/

  • god dang boy. i hope im this good later on.

  • Omg! im just in high school and i thought my al region was hard! compared to this omgg

  • Dude slow it down I graduated in 2001 and the trust me the judges like to hear more accuracy than speed. Slow ur role just like the other person practice slow to build muscle memory and just to let you know you started good at the begining but towards the end u can hear ur emboshure getting weak. That's why u have practice on strenthing ur cheek muscle it just take time.

  • I don't think you know what you're talking about...at all, freshman! It was well executed and there was nothing wrong with the "EMBOUCHURE." I would like to comment on the grace notes though. They seem a little cut off. You should feature them more; make it more prominent but, your staccato fits perfectly fitted to this piece as opposed to your other recording.

  • GREAT!!!!

I play oboe and sax and i cud never imagin playing this!!

how long have you been at this?

  • thanks for the advice man.

  • daggg i'm so glad we didn't have to play this one.

i'm going to area jan. 10th. super nervous.

  • dang. that was nice. i play alto too. going to area on jan. 10th. how bout u? u 4a or 5a?

  • thats awesome, congratulations.

    are you 4a or 5a?

i graduated last year but was 5a

  • i'm 4a. any advice for AREA?? i've actually never been. i've came a long way over the last year and have gotten pretty good.

  • so area is probably right around the corner, but my best advice is to slow everything down (mainly the two fast etudes) and drill them over and over again focusing on clarity and accuracy, then gradually speed them up to tempo. it helps tremendously to develop muscle memory...which helps when you get in there and get nervous!

best of luck to you, hope it goes well!

  • i dont kno if its just me but u very closely resemble a boy that went to my school named Joseph.....and i swear its either u joseph or he must have a twin

  • good sound i will say mate

42 is the one to hit hard for 2008-2009
