I'd have to agree with you. One of my friends is a resident metal-head, and he is one of the best drummers I know, whether it is prog, jazz, metal, or your standard 4/4 rock tune. He's looking to attend Berklee in the near future, so I guess that says something =P

All that aside, you lay some good groves, and I like the kit. Hittin' it up from the PDF dude, keep it up.

Hey mate, the first few grooves would sound a lot better in my opinion if you slowed them down. Also throw in some dynamics like someone else commented.

i-d like to thank you for proving how must of the people (as you said in the description) say that metal drummers can only play super fast double bass mindless drumming. you played some really good groovy rhythms and ideas and you have really impressive technique. keep playing, you're gonna get big someday.

I think the beat would groove more if you played slower, you know ? Also I think you need to play around with dynamics a bit. Right now all your bass,hi-hat and snare hits are equally loud. Thats EXACTLY what you want for blastbeats (im jealous of you ;[) but when your grooving try and throw in rim shots and ghost notes...that kinda thing.

I'm fine with criticism, however a comment like that is pointless mate.

I know I'm nothing when compared to the likes of Bernard Purdie or Dennis Chambers, but that's not the point of this video. The purpose of it was to show that I don't just play blast beats and double bass all day long and that I'm willing to try my hand at something outside my comfort zone.

As I said, it's not spectacular, but I never said it was. So take that into consideration next time please.
