GPS for a motorbike costs A LOT. So I just buy a normal cheap GPS and use that. Watch out for rain though.

@bmastamoneycash: You should learn about all the ways that you could fall, and what skills to practice so that you can avoid it. Watch out for gravel, especially with your front tire. Try to scrub off some speed using your brakes if you can't avoid a collision, so that the impact forces are lessened. Consider other motorists as not only unable to see you, but as if they are actually trying to hit you. The bike will stop sliding soonest if you keep the rubber side down.

definitely let go of it. Funny thing about your bike, it weighs a bit more than you. its just gonna carry you with it if you try and hang on.

let go and relax your body completely. fighting it will just break more bones.

Actually you're supposed to hold on. The bike is heavier so it'll stop sliding first. Unless it's headed towards a ditch or curb...then you let go.

I couldn't agree more on the superhero aspect of riding, same goes for feeling like a celebrity when you pull into the gas station and leave after $13. After driving for a good 7 years, people just glance at cars driving through the gas station, with the bike people usually stare for a while.
