@FM897 I think you're taking this way too seriously. What I loved about this show was how the writer always linked words and used puns. In fact, I think the show was well-known for its puns. When she says "Now I've lost my shoes...and my appetite"...it's not supposed to be taken literally. She probably finished the rest of her food. SHE WAS JOKING. There were a lot of play on words throughout the whole series and that's one of my favourite things about this show.

@AcademyAwardsPerson LOL I don't REALLY care all that much. This stuff doesn't keep me up at night. But I do enjoy analyzing things, even minuscule things such as the comments made by fictional TV characters. I also completely agree with you about the writer's style; I think it's very clever. I guess what it comes down to is that I just don't like the Carrie Bradshaw character so I'm not surprised that I'm being overly critical and have more passion in my tone than one would normally have.

@FM897 OH THANK YOU! We are kindred souls me and you. I thought I was the only one who liked Carrie the least. I also find her to be very self-absorbed and selfish and all .. me me me! Like I can think of so many examples when one of the other girls would be talking about a problem she's going through and then BOOM! Carrie would somehow find a way to steer the conversation o be about herself.She's the least sincere and genuine of them. And yeah, here she's pretending to be a prude..wtf?

@ammarios Haha I'm glad others can relate. It's kind of ironic that this show is supposed to be centered around Carrie yet there are so many things that make her the least likable character.

@FM897 OMG, rant coming.... Carrie is a moron! She has always been my least favorite character on the show. Setting back feminism by like 100 years by being a role model by staying with the same asshole no matter what he does to you for 10 years (and as we've seen from the 2 movies, their relationship obviously never matures), And seriously, the way she talks to the other girls, it's a friggen miracle she has any friends at all. Carrie haters, unite.

@atikker Are you kidding? She's so frank and funny. Sure, she's got some unlikeable sides to her personality, but at the end of the day, who isn't flawed? I love Carrie, she always brings a witty perspective to things.

I hate Carrie actually she's good for the show but she's exactly the kind of female I can't stand ... she's very stubborn, irrational and she's got a big temper to show off the first two.
I could get along fine with any of the other three, Carrie ... I'd end up having fights with like how she and Aidan did.

@GordonWorldwide I used to be a huge fan of Carrie but in hindsight these days I'm torn. I'm a 'big' fan of hCarrie whenever Big is not in her life and he's far away, pardon any puns. Big was poisonous to her entirely and she made him turn her into an idiot everytime on that show!

the only character I can't get the 'steriotype' of is Carrie. I mean I can see the general steriotype of all the other three: Charlotte the traditional old fashioned doll-face, Miranda the independent intellectual feminist, Sam the high class bubbly independent nympho... but Carrie? I guess she isn't stereotyped because she's the main character. Because she's the glue that holds the show together, she has to be agreeable to draw empathy from the whole audience. That's my guess anyways! :)
