Iraqi army are ordering 140 M1A1M. The Iraqi army should have not bought T-55 and T-72 from Hungary. Why? The T-55 and T-72 have no armour, poor optical sights, low tech, and outdated. they did build T-72's in the late 80's in the Taji complex in Iraq they were only supplied to republican guard units while the regular army fought with T-55,T-59(chinese copy) the T-72 was obsolete by the gulf war time these tanks were rebuild from scrap yards by iraqies who had experience working maintenace on them under saddams regime
