@Godsgunboy101 It's true that he may have never wronged me. But isn't the idea of god just to give hope and strength to those who have none? it's an ideal to strive for. A goal to achieve to keep people on the just path through life. Because what are people without hope and a form of guidance?, they are animals and will act as such. But with it we can achieve great things. So my not believing in god is saying that i have a strong enough goal of my own to strive for to keep my on the right path.

Many times, God has spread fear (like, pee in your pants, quiver'n boots fear) through His own people because of their lawlessness. The end game is hope though, in the end. In our current life though, we still have pain.
@CreativeMindMedias if you believe that God is just an idea set forth by men, then consider this: the way God has set for us to live throughout the ages (as revealed to us through the Bible) is completely radical, normally painful, and has a tendency to cause social ostracism. But it's only because we live in a world of sin. if it wasn't a world of sin, I do not know how to describe the way this world would be (other than the way it was meant to be, a living testament to God's glory).

By the definition, a "christian" song is one where the subject matter is defined by the title, isn't it? A way to explain this is that not every "king" or "master" character in Jesus' parables represents God. However, the parables all communicate something about God, either the way he does, or doesn't work.

Were called to follow Jesus, we get to know Him through a close relationship, fully depend, trust the Lord with ourselves and our lives, as well as to love others with the love of God. We are called to die to ourselves, and realize that we are nothing without His never ending grace, that we should never think of ourselves as being able to achieve greater things then our Saviour did on Earth! people in my community are ignorant fucks. going to church (i was brought up a catholic) and gossiping and spreading rumours and discussing other peoples personal lives, they think they're so christian and they think i'm some unruly, unsaveable lost cause, truth is i have a close connection to god and jesus on a personal level. i am my own christian not anyone elses. kutless' songs rock, they stand up for people like me.:)

you may need to reexamine yourself. God cares for everyone and you should have the same interests as God. The church is the body of Christ- all believers. Not just one single person alone. We were meant to be in community. And your language needs polishing too. By the definition, a "christian" song is one where the subject matter is defined by the title, isn't it? A way to explain this is that not every "king" or "master" character in Jesus' parables represents God. However, the parables all communicate something about God, either the way he does, or doesn't work.
