Dear Kara- Your videos have inspired me so much. I didn't even know hooping existed until I saw "Maui Morning Hoop Dance". I posted it on my Facebook page with a note that said,"This is the most beautiful thing I think I've ever seen." A friend who hoops saw it and made me a hoop and sent it to me. I've had it for about three weeks and I love to hoop! Thank you so much for the inspiration. I'm just getting started still and I'm probably going to need to take a class soon, I'm so happy!
wow, this was just delightful. Where have you been hiding? I don't think I've seen one of your videos yet. The move where you step in with one leg then spin and step in with the other was fabulous. You have a sweet slow style. Love the music too.
Thanks, Kara, so amazing to hear from you so quickly... I've used gaffers tape, too. One more detail, though, if you don't mind? What length of tube are you using? I've just moved to a 10ft. hoop and it looks a little bigger than yours. Take care, Diane
Dear Kara, I am so inspired by your hooping... so graceful. I've learned so much from watching you, lots to work on! Can you tell me how big your hoop is and what it's weighted with? I have a feeling my hoop is too big to do some of this stuff!
Hi Diane, In this video, the hoop I am using is a 100PSI, 3/4" hoop covered with all gaffers tape. It's a lighter tubing which I prefer, and I do not weight my hoops with anything. The gaffers tape is really great for learning to do leg moves as the tape sticks very well to your clothing. Have fun, keep hooping, and thank you for your sweet comment!
Kara, I agree with all the below comments. Your flow in this vid is gorgeous and I was so excited to see it, because I absolutely love hoooping to this song! Also, I'm loving your gorgeous hoop space! very inspiring...
ohh, I'm the first viewer! Kara, I love your hoopflow. So graceful and effortless. You have a lovely chestroll and I especially lofe the way you move your arms at the end. I'm tagging this one as a favorite.

Unlike others who just perform tricks, you're actually dancing. Do you perform in public venues anywhere?

Wonderful as usual. I nearly missed this one, followed a trail on YouTube which led here. I too love the way you seem to ripple rather than move.
