Design wise, it is the m43. You look at most modern military jackets and you'll notice that they are for the most part designed like the m43. This is due to it's effectiveness. Now for my favorite jacket in my collection, it would be an m41 with Air Corps HQ patch on the left, staff sgt. stripes, and a 3in ATC patch on the chest. She's a looker!
You've really done some research! Great collection. By the way, do you know a chris falvo from kelowna BC? He said he had a part in your old Thousand yard movie
Well you collect US - Gear, And I collect British gear... But this is awesome collection!! OMG you lucky bastard!! haha And yes... It is getting more and more expensive...
Whoa, an original M41 Jacket? How much did you have to pay for that? I be it wasn't cheap, they run for over $200 in decent shape! You've got some really nice equipment there, keep it up!
I technically gave about $80 for it. I traded a 1918 dated mills Springfield belt for it. My friend easily let it go because of the small size 34L. I fits me though.
Recently i just bought a real ww2 hbt shirt at a swap meet for 10 bucks from a lady who had no idea what she was selling. I could tell it was a hbt by the button. But my hbt shirt has a really light green color. I dont know what pattern it is.
I should be able to identify it. They way you described it, it sounds like a first pattern but the light shade could just be from shading. So just send me some pics and I'd be happy to identify! If you have anything else that needs identifying feel free to send a pic!
i have a tank destroyer patch, christian patch, black hawk, commanding officer,airforce,75infantry,3rd tank batt. and lots of lt. pins and one captain pin
Did they use the m43 jackets in Normandy?

There's no technical name for it, envelope cap, garrison cap, flight cap, cunt cap, etc. They're all the same...

OoOoOo I mostly collect army air corps (it doesn't help that I'm in the Air Force). You should post it in a video. That would be sweet!

Cloth items can still be seen at good prices throught the country. Lots of WWI and WWII cloth gear can be found at surplus stores and camping stores.
