  • "a billion skies"

    she's so creative --> future poet :)

  • The parents of those babies don't know how much lucky they are to have an angel!

  • @HeasianisasianHeathe

They are both great kids.. we are very lucky..

  • she is beautiful!

  • ALL those babies were up for adoption??????!!!!! can you point me in a direction on where to start to adopt a baby from Korea?

  • @amberlbrowning

We used Dillon International. They are based out of Tulsa Oklahoma but they also have an office in Tustin CA which is where we went. Very nice people..

  • Actually, replying to a comment left earlier saying in Korea adoption is looked upon very highly. It isn't really looked upon highly. That is why there are so many babies up for international adoption. Very few babies are domestically adopted. Also, it is because in Korean culture it is frowned upon to have babies out of wedlock, so mothers are shunned. So a lot more moms give up their children. It is also frowned upon to be a single mother. Also it's US to SK because of the Korean Conflict.

  • @tarheelz1313

Yes, that is what I meant to say bit forgot the "not".. Adoption in Korean is not looked upon very highly.

  • Wow. That hurt my heart. I could tell, when Mia was talking about her Korea Mommy that she was feeling sad. You could see it around the corners of her mouth. Poor little thing. Thank God she has two such beautiful parents to adore her and never go away.

Question, why are there so many kids up for adoption In South Korea? Why did Mia have two failed adoptions in Korea? Who wouldn't want her? Also, did Mia retain her ability to speak Korean? Thank you!

  • @annagitana1

I am not sure there are more kids up for adoption in Korea than anywhere else. The USA just has an agreement with them so that is where we adopt. In Korea adoption is looked upon very highly. The families that adopted her "tried" her out and then returned her because she cried a lot. Mia speaks fluent Korean as her mother speaks it in the house daily.. Very sad video, I agree..

  • @matthewcyahoo Thanks so much for your response. Your films are fantastic. Love the music and love your humor. But mostly, it is a real pick me up to see two sweet kids living such a fantastic life and enriching the lives of their parents. Especially when it could have been very different for all.

BTW, I am in the U.S. (Calif.) but I can't play video #4 of the Mia Goes Home to Korea set. Says it is unavailable in our country. Hope you can fix that because the last we saw in #3 was Mia crying!

  • @annagitana1

That is weird. Could you try another computer? I am on the road but when I get home I will try and challenge their blocking of the audio. The music makes the videos, sometimes I Ihave to challenge their blocking of it. #4 was the best one of the 5..

  • @matthewcyahoo I'll try. #4 doesn't show up at all in the suggestions or at the end of #3. I found it by going to your channel. But when you click on it, it won't play at all. Instead, this message comes up: This video contains content from UMG and EMI, one or more of whom have blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

  • @annagitana1

When I get home I will challenge the copyright. I should be able to unlock it. If not I can always send you a DVD but I think I can fix it. I am home thursday morning....

  • @annagitana1

Try it now. I reposted it and they haven't blocked it yet..

  • That's so nice that there is someone all the way across the world who loves her that much, and always will.

It must have been awkward for her to see all those people who doted on her, but at least she felt warm with her Korea Mom.

This is one (or two) of the most touching adoption stories I've seen.

  • I think both kids have the best situation ever .They have contact with there foster parents either in person or pic's, they have films of the whole adoption process. The best part is they have two parents who will keep there culture alive. It's adoption without all the secrets.

  • For me... I couldn't be the one that took the baby away... He cried from the very depth of his soul. That poor child. Life IS unfair! we shouldn't have to make such incredibly hard choices. Especially for one so small! Good days ahead though. and much love & happiness :))) I watched them backwards hehehehe... Very informative video. Thinking of adoption. but it isn't for the faint of heart <3

  • @nursewithapurse

You are right but it is tough. You need to remember the lady who had him knew it was temporary and she was the foster mother. In the end the child needs a permanent home and while it is a tough thing to do he will be okay. It is a very serious situation though but remembering that the child will have a permanent family is what is the most important. Not a dry eye on the house that day..

  • She's very-very intelligent and so sweet, God bless you.

  • in the nursery... are ALL those babies up for adoption??

  • @yirumaxx

Yes. They were all born within the last week..

  • gosh your children are adorable. i'm sure they will grow up happily with you as their parents. congrats and good luck!

  • "she loves me a billion skies." awwww! Mia is a lucky girl, to be loved my so many wonderful people. :)

  • ohh soo cute the babys :)) and congerlations for new child :)

  • It aways seemed,in your previous videos, that Mia just smiled, and laughed and never looked to be sad . And now i saw her weeping. I perfectly can understand her feelengs. I suppose, it's a good thing that she faced her past. She has a huge change in her life, but her earlier life belongs her, too. And she can deal with it. Cool, that you brought her back.

I love your videos, so close, almost if I were there. Mia and now her brother, too have sensitive and caring parents, just what they need.

  • We just met some Australian parents in Seoul last week. Very nice people . They live in Victoria. Not sure where that is but if you want someone local I can shoot him an e mail and maybe they would be a resource also.

    Matt

  • @matthewcyahoo Hi Matt, Victoria is where Melbourne is ( the second biggest city in AUS after Sydney.) Thanks for loading updates of Mia and your new son. I admire you and your wife that you guys have done such a wonderful job for your children !

  • I am completely hooked on these videos. We are in the Korea programme (Australian parents-to-be - we hope) and I was so happy to see these videos - right up until that last bit. When I stop crying I intend to watch the next instalment.
