So why not mention that the droid has an on screen keyboard as well as the slider? Its larger AND more responsive than the eris. The fact is that its MORE convenient to have a choice in keyboards, which is something only one of those phones offer. Also, not too difficult to change the annoying notification sounds on any phone really.
I would get the Eris over the droid because you can upgrade to the 2.0 ,which is the same one the droid runs on, in 2010. Or you can wait until June when verizon gets the iPhone which is what I would do.
the Moto Droid and Google's android OS make for the best phone i have ever owned. I used to own a computer that ran on windows and dumped it for a Mac and have been happier ever since. So i dumped my windows OS "smartphone" for the Droid. I will never own anything running on windows!
this guy is an idiot. He spent the whole time talking about nothing. and it says "droid" for notifications yes but u can change it duuuhhh. Do me a favor and review the dam phones or shut the f up. u can go to the individual product websites and read more than this guy says.
u can change the notification sound as well, and the droid has a better browser, bigger and better touch screen, google maps navigation, better camera (video camera wise) on Droid, and 2.0 operating system AND I personally like the fact that it has both the physical and virtual keyboard. No affence, but you have to research or spend more time with the phone to give urself an actual review
ive heard the keyboard is very good once you get used to it, still better then any virtual one, ill also get the moto becuase of the bigger better screen, its faster overall, and it just seems like a better device, but the eris is a good option too
I've never had the charger problem. In fact i can hold the phone upside down by the charger without it falling out. Take yours back and get a new one

yeah i think he should have spent more time with the phone. bad review

Yeah I saw that too. So, then the three-ounce keyboard becomes a heavy useless appendage. Why pay $100 more for that?
