sounds like sleep peralysis. I experienced it when i was four or five, i remember trying to scream and not being able to. I thought my teddy panda bear was coming at me, was very scary. I don't remember anything to do with my chest but most sleep peralysis descriptions involve a feeling of something compressing the chest. there are description of this going all the way back to the middle ages. myths and tales of the devil sitting on your chest, or a ghost, and more recently, aliens.

I do belive in missing time, but not in alien abductions. The brain chemistry is complicated, and still poorly understod. Perhaps in some particular situation and condition the brain goes suddently in sleep mode or auto mode, similar state like sonnabulism....for few minutes to hours. When they "wake" up again they cant explain the missing time.

sounds like sleep peralysis. I experienced it when i was four or five, i remember trying to scream and not being able to. I thought my teddy panda bear was coming at me, was very scary. I don't remember anything to do with my chest but most sleep peralysis descriptions involve a feeling of something compressing the chest. there are description of this going all the way back to the middle ages. myths and tales of the devil sitting on your chest, or a ghost, and more recently, aliens.

@monewmeek Yeah i had the peralysis once...its so scary man but apparently it happens to most people like once in their life. and this might be wrong but I heard that it was more common among african americans...heard that from a black friend..but not sure if its true. lol.

@DreamOfFireFlies Its called "fugue". apparently. When my mother was on anti-depressants she used to experience it a lot. When I was a kid, if I heard her making strange noises while she slept, I was told to touch her hand or otherwise try to wake her up. That seems to "break the spell" or paralysis. My understanding is that your soul comes back to your body from astral travelling/sleeping/dreaming, but doesn't "match up" properly sometimes. Causing what medicine calls "fugue".

@monewmeek Ancient nordic legends talk of an old hag, scary old female, who sits on the victim's chest, and attempts to terrify one to death. Would sometimes be successful, I'd imagine, particularly if one had a weak heart! Of course, in that case, one also wouldn't live to tell the tale...ha ha. This is a very common experience (apparently happened to folk randomly) throughout historic records.

I do belive in missing time, but not in alien abductions. The brain chemistry is complicated, and still poorly understod. Perhaps in some particular situation and condition the brain goes suddently in sleep mode or auto mode, similar state like sonnabulism....for few minutes to hours. When they "wake" up again they cant explain the missing time.

@ImmortalUniverse im not sure if i believe in missing time or alien abductions (its still a mystery to me). you make an interesting, and understandable claim about your "brainwashed by movies" theory...but how do you explain the numerous alien abduction accounts that occurred long before television and cinema was invented (if your theory is correct)? those individuals couldn't have been brainwashed by movies if cinema & TV hadn't been invented yet.

6:30 sounds sleep paralysis to me.
I was lying in bed, and all of a sudden a hard buzzing tone in my ears started, could breath or talk, (just like that on guy). It felt like I was being pulled out of my bed upwards.
Though it was a UFO abduction at first, after a quick search on the in the internet I found it was only sleep paralysis

I remember one time when I was delivering mail I had to walk through a wooden area with a small path through it. I was feeling very weird just before going through the trees, anyways. Ihad looked at my watch shortly before and it was 11:20am, I walked into the wooded area and I got startled what I thought was a couple of minutes later, I felt light headed and nauseous and I looked at my watch and it was 1:15pm! I can't explain what happened! I don't think it was abduction I just felt scared:(
