I was there when the orginal steppen wolf pusher was a rebel song, but I have not heard this version before. The funny thing is that this triggers my memory of years gone by when I was just out of get high school, there is a really acting dutch communtiy in Lynden WA, I was at a traffic light when church just got out and people were congragated out front after the church service and I was blasting this song on my 8 track in my 64 impala I got the message if looks could kill I would have died.

Band is fantastic, but Shannon is outrageous, one of a kind. For some reason, Blind Melon always remind me of the early Jefferson Airplane. And of course Shannon sings better than Janis Joplin. Even after so many years I'm sad Shannon died so young, probably because of drug abuse, which was his own risk, but I say thank you for the music. May the band live on.
