While I'm watching a lot of these kinds of paintings I've seen several people reach a really great point when the painting to me looks perfect then they keep going and end up ruining it.

When you start taking art classes it's pretty much embedded in you that that is a risk you will have to take. You could stop working on it and have it look okay, or you could keep working on it and make it even more amazing, or ruin it. If you limit yourself because you're too scared to go even further, you'll never get any better. : )

Anyone who is worried about irreversible damage can always take scans or prints of their work in the different stages.

a good brand of paint is MONTANA HARDCORE. but i suggest to use it when you have reached a certain *level i could say* because cans are pretty expensive.

I use MTN hardcore, personally I find it's great, but it is a matte paint and most artists on youtube use a gloss paint. Another option is the German Montana Gold. Montana gold is a lot lower pressure, and more of an "artist" paint where as hardcore is more for graffiti bombing.

hi i use montana gold but my black is messed! it bubbles up and drips all over the art. any help?

Could be a few issues. Make sure you're using a cap that works with the gold line. A pink dot or gold dot work well, but something like a banana skinny won't. Try using a fresh cap on it. Do the caps you use on it when it bubbled and drip work on other caps? It might also be a faulty can, but unlikely. If worse comes to worse buy a new can :\

and 4 blacks

and most of them are montana golds :o

And just for everyone who wouls like to do this. You can get the paint at wal+mart for 96 cents a can....And you can get a pack of 8 peices of paper(big sice) cut it strait down the middle and you have 16 good sizes of paper. Its not "to" expenicive.

I just have one question, I have been practicing this art for about 2-3 weeks, and i can never get my paper to tear up the paint..Im using regular magazine paper and it will not tear up the paint...And tequniques that im not using...Or a video that explains it well? Please let me know...

Don't quote me on this but

I use glossy colours and the technique works for me so i would say yes.

if you get some cheap samples of colours then just experiment.

i dont understand how you get texture effect (like craters on planets) do you have to let previous layers dry? do you rub only certain areas of the paper when you place it on?
