To the Rest of the World: If you want to see some 'live' extreme sport, travel once by our hyderabad roads! Like on cigarette cartons we need a warning here: " traveling is injurious to mental health more than physical health" lol!

Nice video. I thought Canadian roads were bad, but, there's no lack of infrastructure, really. Besides bridges that were built long ago are starting to fall apart onto the roads which can be bad for the motorists as huge chunks of rock have fallen in the past. The local authorities do rule over the road, too. It'd be a nice experience in India, though. One of many places I'd like to go. I like watching travel shows, and it just amazes me how busy it is with dense population there.

out here huge bridges are known to fall off during the construction itself ! lol .... as a tourist, i'm sure it would be a nice experience, but for a person like me who was born and have grown up here, this place is a hell to live in ... but still it is my homeland ! :-)

thanks for stopping by and commenting MicheleMidnight ! i really appreciate it ! most of the cars are different models of maruti suzuki ( collaboration with suzuki of japan ) here are some of the brands seen in the footage: at 0.20 is a santro from hyundai of korea; 0.58 ( red ) is a WagonR model from maruti suzuki; at 1.12,3.28 3.33 ( white colour, overtaking me from the left ) are maruti suzuki vans; almost any car / van can be used for taxis here and most of the cars dont have a "boot " !:-)

i have tried walking, driving on a mobike and even car, all of them are hellish experiences not only in hyderabad, but also bangalore and chennai.....it is the result of a seriously neglected infrastructure development and irresponsible citizenship .. you seem familiar with hyderabad routes ...actually the route is from jeera, bible house, ghasmandi, patny, natraj, clocktower, ymca towards marredpally,..thank you for your comments :-)

Wow. That was an amazing peek into a totally different culture. Thank you. I hope you can eventually do another one with your camera set up a little better. That blue visor thing was kind of obstructing the view and your camera kept falling, but other than that it was an awesome video. By the way, what were those yellow things? They looked like golf carts.

lol ! that video was not planned at all, was just a spontaneous idea while driving back home, but yes, i think i will put in some more effort in my next such video; i had to worry that someone may snatch away my camera from the window, i had to worry about the speed breakers, and so could not see what was being recorded.. and those yellow things, are called "auto rickshaws ", a three wheeler metered taxi service, a very ubiquitous transport mode every where in this country ..thanks and cheers !
