  • i gotta say..wow. where did you buy all those comics? do you know any online comic store that offers cheap international shipping?

  • @vaniaLP89 Alas, shipping kills a lot of fun out of collecting, I'm pretty sure I've spent the price of a nice compact car on shipping alone during the last decade. Most online stores are very fair with their pricing, but they have to charge you what it costs themselves to ship it. But there is always Milehigh comics that offers free worldwide shipping when you buy over a certain dollar amount.

  • Wow that's quite a bit of comics there buddy. Mine is no where near that size. Probably half of one row lol. I noticed that even though I started last year, when I talked to those who have been reading them since a young age till now (usually around 20-35) their size is always 100x bigger than mine.

  • Yowza! That's on eheck of a comic book collection! Props!

  • how much did it cost you?

  • The LIBRARY OF COMICS! Amazing.

  • for the "for sale box" do you like have an ebay account for selling them?

  • @theDUDE27x Not, I only sell a few comics a year (my double issues) so it's really not worth it.

  • I want to befriend you. infiltrate your will and then End you!

  • @NeonWarblood Good luck ! Most people who befriend me, end themselves out of pure misery.

  • That music sounds familiar...whats that from?

  • How exactly did you dispose of 2,500 comics? Ebay? Sold to a comic store?

  • @breezeman199 It's almost 5000 comics now. I sold them to local collectors. As my entire collection consists of complete runs or series, it's pretty easy to sell in lots of a few hundred over a period of a few years.

  • @chromiumcomics You still have a great collection. I went to a comic store to sell some of mine. I knew the guy couldn't offer me retail prices, but i was still shocked at his low offer.

  • On the back of the comics-should I just use ''some'' tape? and also, my comic bags have like extra strip if oyu know what I mean so I just fold it..Is it like if oyu wanna put a piece of paper there saying what title it is or what issue? thanx for answers..:D :)

  • @Chris87913 I use Mylar comic bags, so no idea about other ones. Also never put tape on your comics, if you meant putting tape on comic bags...then always use magic tape. But it's better not to use tape at all and just fold the flap over and tuck it in behind the board.

  • @chromiumcomics Hey, I also wanted to ask (don't blame me for not knowing :D) I heard the ''Comic Book day'' is wednesday so If I am collecting Detective comics Batman for example, It comes out once a month on wednesday right?. and also :D So you don't use anything on teh back of ur bags? only fold it like you said? cuz I culdn't find any video like that.. Man, I am so confused ..:D : /

  • @Chris87913 I don't live in the US so I really don't know when new comics arrive at your store.

  • 6 dislikes? there is nothing wrong in being a comic book nerd you Justin Bieber fag fans

  • HOW COULD YOU GET RID OF 2500? ):

  • it must smell amazing in there

  • Awesome collection, you surly a great reader.=)

  • I commend you on organizing in such an understandable and orderly way! Never thought to use those boxes to hold my comics (I have very little). I love the labels, you did fantastic. :) Definitely beats piling them into a shoe box or some corner of your closet.

  • @SnowEclaire Thank you ! You gave me a craving for an éclair now.

  • where did you get those comics shelf thingys

  • @nadaicomics Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop

  • Holy crap on a stick Batman!

  • @Toasty667 Actually, he appears to only collect Marvel mainstream runs! The organization system he has employed it incredibly impressive; now all he needs to do is develop some taste!

  • do you have any walking dead comics?

  • LOL at the ending

  • I have always been a fan of comic book based movies and cartoons, and would like to start collecting/reading comics. I have never held or looked inside a comic book. How much of the writing in the books are the bubble dialogue and how much is the writing of the story? There are no comic book stores around me, so I will have to order the comic books and can't look inside the book

  • Thanks :) Don't forget to rent a truck or at least a trailer before you do. Won't fit in a car.

  • May I please have your address and a schedule of times you will not be home? Just kidding. Amazing collection!

  • Well i love comics, and i dont know if you guys heard about Zagor comics.

Its best comic books ever !!

  • I collect those white shelves :) QC

  • Of course they do. If it so happens you have a few doubles, pease let a fellow collector know. Thanks again

  • By the way, do you still have a box of doubles/ issues for sale?

  • @theblackbudda Alas, all the double issues sell very quickly.

  • Thanks for the tips. Once again, awesome collection. If you get doubles you should let me know

  • @theblackbudda Happy to help, happy collecting.

  • Great collection. I was wondering if you could give me a few pointers. 1. Where do you purchase your Mylar bags and boards because they can get expensive. 2.How did you make the individual book sleeves to fit on the shelves? Thanks

  • @theblackbudda I get all my supplies from hotflips DOT com ... great guys, tell them I sent you.

And if you mean the boxes, those are from any large paper supplier (magazine boxes) the labels are home made using photoshop.

  • Just imagine what a fire would do to his collection.

  • @avschase Probably the same it would do to anything else...

  • @avschase it would combust it

  • I try and focus on my on going series that i collect but damn those limited series i always get side tracked!!! lol nice collection bro

  • can u make a video for captain america, ur oldest comics

  • @guitarsaregreat09 I already made a Captain America video, it's up on my channel.

  • you have a great collection

i just started to get into comics but i will

need to sell them for the money.

in the future i might start over but this time focus on one series.

But i have to ask you this

How much do you think you payed for this?

  • @ibaghot All together ? No idea, guide for everything is a six-figure sum, but I really don't care that much about the value or how much I paid.

  • Hey dude. Beautiful collection you have seriously, but why don't you use standard comic book storage boxes? Those ones you have are pretty cool but I was just wondering because some of those have to be worth a whole lot. Intrinsically and in dollars.

  • @GlitchKillable I'm working on a new vid where I'm addressing just that, besides the comic book boxes just being plain and looking like mover's boxes they offer no conditional protection if your comics are already in Mylar. And the other thing is that comics in Mylar don't fit in regular comic boxes. Thanks for the kind words about the collection :)

  • @chromiumcomics Hmm...I guess I am just overprotective of my comics then lol and I've never had a problem fitting mylar bags into regular boxes. But then again I live in an apartment with a shit box for a roof so if it decided to coincidentally leak right over my boxes they would survive for a few more minutes until i could get to them haha. And your welcome. I'm sure you're a life long collector right?

  • Are those silver age?

  • dude you can read it for free

  • WHEEEEEEEEAAAAATONNNNNN !!!!!

  • check my video to great fantastic four comics that i pick up

  • great video

  • Do you still have the 4th Avengers Comic?

  • I prefer manga instead of comics but nice collection and a very swell and cool ending. best part :)

  • How much ees dees worth?

  • @WorldwideSynthetic Almost as much as my house.

  • @chromiumcomics then may I ask how much your house is worth?

  • @WorldwideSynthetic Of course you may.

  • @chromiumcomics NOOOOOO!!!! I have been defeated!!!!!

  • WOW! Too bad if the room caught fire.........

  • @Apocalyptica2444 That's what insurance is for.

  • will you sell me a copy of The Amazing Spider-Man issue #1?

  • @jasanimans Alas no...but there should be one for sale on eBay now and then.

  • Wow that's the largest collection of comics i've ever seen!

  • Do u have any Alien vs Predator comics?

  • @LittleDude117 I have almost nothing left post 1984.

  • @LittleDude117 Not anymore, I sold 90% of all the post-1985 comics.

  • Are cgc comic books series thats signed by Stan Lee valuable in your opinion ? The year it was signed was 2010 .

  • Hi ,

Great Comics you have . Wear can i find boxes like those so i can do the same thing with my collection ? Also is 40 too old to start collecting ?

  • @thomasr501 Thanks. Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop. Most serious collectors are well over 30 and a lot of them are in their 50's...so you are the ideal age. It's a very expensive hobby and I can't see most teens or twenty-somethings blowing 100s or 1000s of dollars on comics.

  • have u read all these

  • i would LOVE to buy some Wolverine comics from you...if you want to sell them

  • @TheJimd327 I have no Wolverine comics alas, I only collect Marvel from 1961 to 1984, so all l have is the solo 4-parter from 1982 which isn't for sale. I would suggest you take a look at the milehigh website, they have hundreds of modern Wolverine comics and a lot are pretty cheap.

  • you have more comics then my local comic store

  • how much is this worth man? great collection, best wishes

  • @braille94 I have no idea...probably more than I'm comfortable knowing.

  • What did you use to make those book holders? It looks like it can hold about 10-20 books and its labeled. Also can you buy those or you made it and how did you make it?

  • @tkromano1 Because they look much better than regular short or long boxes that just hide the books. With this system I can find any book under one minute. Each box holds about 50 comics and are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop.

  • respect from italy

  • @massimoesimona Grazie mille !

  • I would love to buy your Black Panthers off of you if you are willing

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion Thanks, but alas nothing is for sale at the moment.

  • Very nice. Looks much better then the dozen long boxes I have under the stairs in my basement...

  • sick collection dude....MARVEL is where its at.

  • Nice collection, man. My collection is made up of nothing but classic and modern day horror comic books, i've got everything from Tales from the Crypt, House of Mystery, Evil Ernie to Grimm Fairy Tales. Wish my collection was like that.

  • How did you get those containers which are character specific (ie. thor and avengers) and how much do you think you have spent in total on your comics?

  • @randomvideos64 Boxes are magazine-type boxes, most paper suppliers sell them. The labels are home-made using Photoshop.I have no idea how much I spent over the years, but I do know that current guide is about 6 figures.

  • @chromiumcomics All right thanks :D

  • DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im starting a collection, i have about 20 comics that i got for 10 euro which is probly a bit more in pounds if ur in england

and now there selling 20 for 5 euro so im gonna spend about 20 euro

    cant wait till saturday

    and nice collection

  • Nice collection ;)

  • hey I love your display; did you buy those boxes or make them? Also send me a list of prices for whatever you have for sale. Thanks, Rob

  • How long have you been collecting?

  • @NesRetroGamer About 7 years.

  • @chromiumcomics Impressive!

  • @chromiumcomics not long considering you have like every comic book how much money time and effort was it to actually obtain all of these?? which one is your rarest comic btw?

  • @manbat106 Didn't take that long and the cost was reasonable. I think I did it all in about 5-6 years, series per series. I have no idea which is the rarest, I believe Hulk #1 is the rarest of the keys, but all keys are rare and expensive, so I would answer all the books that feature in my "Silver Age keys" video.

  • you must be a marvel addict

  • @bubublub Oh yes.

  • I seriously can't tell you how beautiful and inspiring your channel is, keep the videos coming! Cheers from Las Vegas!!!

  • Caligula music intro !the was great!

  • Caligula music intro !the was great!

  • you r my hero lol awesome collection bro

  • do you still have the amazing spiderman 122 or 121 for sale?

  • @COLTxxxMOFO haha I'm probably the only one on here that knows what Colt is, if it's being used with the xxx :P

  • DO U EVEN HAVE ANY SPIDERMAN'S NOOO JUST KIDDING so much comic book's dude cool collection

  • Did you sell that hulk 181?

  • @xquickstrykex I think I had it for less than a month, Hulk 181s sell very quickly.

  • lol my collection is only like 3 rows about 450, i get them from a friend of mine who has TONS of boxes just gotta pick them up, all dc cause he got them from his friend who works at dc and he dont want them anymore. ill make a vid of it i got some collectors stuff that i think was cool

  • now time to read them

  • becous iwont to see the collection you have now you know you got new comics.......

    tainks

  • can you do this movie agine ?

    taink you

  • @chenbur Why ?

  • is this ure favourite classical music ( Romeo and Juliet I think) mine is Ride of the valkries

  • do u collect DC I'm not so fond. I really only read Flash, Green Lantern and My all time favourite Superhero BATMAN

  • @spikespace Only DC I collect is Batman, I have #100 to #400 nearly complete and will then start on getting #99 down to #1

  • This song always makes me think of Caligula. That movie ruined a perfectly awesome song for me. Awesome collection, man. And Damn you Caligula!

  • another reason why i like your collection is not just because its huge its not full of golden age and silver age only which on most videos thats all i seem to be seeing in peoples collections it gets kinda boreing with no modern ones

  • :O And I thought mine was big... But I have mostly trade paperbacks and hardcovers... I have very few valuables issues (Spiderman #1 Platinum edition, Uncanny X-men #300 signed by JRJR, X-Factor (vol1) #1, Excalibur (Vol.1) #1) but I love them. :)

Awesome job. You are my hero.

  • Cool vid! I really like seeing this! How long did it take to get all these?

  • @devilstoysuk2 Thanks. Took about 5 years of intense collecting.

  • @chromiumcomics wow you made all of these?!! in 5 years i only got 300+ comic books T.T

    im proud of you mannN!!!!!

  • @chromiumcomics i mean... im not collecting these... i making these and i only made 302 in juts 5 years T.T

  • Are you Jocking?!

  • @riccardo19991 I do tend to Jock occasionally, but only when I'm in Scotland.

  • Hey, man. Would You happen to have any more comic books for sale?

  • @TimTheReaper Send me an email and I'll send you the updated list with double issue I'm selling

  • @chromiumcomics do you have full runs? id like to get into them but hate haveing to find 25 books to get a whole story

  • @chromiumcomics do you have full runs? id like to get into them but hate having to find 25 books to get a whole story

  • @unholychunk I only have full runs and complete series. That's what I collect.

  • @chromiumcomics say i wanted a full run of batman how much would it be

  • @unholychunk A full run of Batman would cost you a small fortune, Batman #1 is at east $12 - $15K in GOOD condition...and don't forget it's over 700 issues and 71 years running. If you want an idea, you can check out milehighcomics website

  • @chromiumcomics i ment a full run as in just one story i dont read comics cuz its like continued in next issu but 20 issues wuld b one story deff dont want every batman book ever made

  • When you said "down-size to 7500 books" were you saying that as in you really were trying to down size, or trying to brag about your collection, saying that "yeah, 7500 is downsizing to me, its only the equivalant of an entire comic store that is moderately small, no big"

  • @Comickid1000 I really have downsized to just over 7500 comics, at a certain point I had nearly 15.000 comics which is just plain silly and takes way too much space. Almost everything that isn't Marvel is gone now and so are 90% of all comics from 1985 through to 2001. Getting a lot of comics isn't really that hard, plenty of people selling 10.000+ comics in one lot on eBay, the trick is to go for quality not quantity. Why would someone brag about how many comic books they own ?

  • @chromiumcomics My comment was intended not to be taken seriously, but it was still somewhat serious considering the time and efferot people put into their comic collections. I knew what you meant when you said downsizing, but it just seems pretty amazing seeing your collection because my local comic store does not have that much inventory (in hindsight, the comic store is really small)

  • absolutely amazing!! thanks for this video! very nice collection!

  • Oh my God

  • Hey how did you make the boxes to store the comics?

  • @ibaghot Got some magazine storage boxes and then made the labels in Photoshop

  • wow that is crazy thats so cool im ten and i dont collect them in order i only have a few but you thats like the great wall of china worth of comics

  • I got three long boxes of comics and my wife bitches about them...sweet collection!

  • wow ... so organized and well kept. goob job and good video.

  • @paragshah2112 Thanks :)

  • have u read them allll from 1 to what ever

  • @snipeyouintheface72 Not yet....will take me another decade or so.

  • Those cabinets go all the way to heaven

  • @loki2stunt I wish they did...

  • lol, i like comics but i cant get them from a store, theres none around where i live, i have to download them from stores on my ipod, lol, nice collection though

  • was there any deadpool?

  • Epic collection is epic

  • @Hotmustardgas20 Thank man, thank you.

  • keep this away from an open flame

  • your a store

  • where are u selling the books u showed at the end?

  • @74Paxxx Those have long sold alas, if you want an updated list, just go to my blog and click on the link.

  • @Beastska8er1 I buy everything online. Ebay, Heritage, Comiclink etc...

  • you can show now all you comics you have

  • @chenbur No I can't. If I were to show every comic for just a single second it would still be a movie longer than two hours

  • you know wher in boston or NY have comics shop was saill old comics ?

    tainks

  • @chenbur On my comics blog there is an entry about comic shops in Boston that I've visited, I think the name of the article is "The New World "

  • why do you not buy any new comics after 1985?

  • @amartinez97 Because I don't like them...I've owned most of them and have sold them all. For me Marvel started to get bad with Secret Wars, endless crossovers, huge changes to the character, retcons etc...For me Marvel is prime from 1961 - 1985 (FF #1 to Secret Wars #1). I read and enjoy modern comic books, as you can see from my hardcovers, but just not Marvel.

  • Awesome. If I die, I hope God made heaven like this for us Comic Book Nerds. And we get to talk to Jack Kirby, Bob Kane and others.

  • @sentaiaddict I'd be happy just to sit quietly and watch Jack Kirby and Wally Wood draw...

  • @sentaiaddict I've read on some of the comments that you collect comic books before 1985. I am curious why? and you don't read the today's story arcs. I'm currently reading Spider-Man:Big Time and The Uncanny X-Force.

  • @sentaiaddict big time is amazing! so much better than brand new day. I would reccomend fantastic four 587 aswell because i think this time that when someone dies they're keeping he or she dead.

  • @MyachiMach3Myachi hey thanks man. I really like Big-Time. It's because Peter Parker is not that struggling anymore. And I've been trying to complete the Singles of One Moment in Time #638-#641. I love the cover art of each. Iv'e seen some promos of the FF. I know someone will die but forever dead, that's the one I don't know.

  • hia man nice comics! Can u do me favor and please check out my vid it has comics but not as much as yours!

  • Dude.......Nice collection.

  • @Sturdymeat Thanks !

  • hey there. I need your help in understanding something. WHen collecting comics. Do you try for whole runs from 1 to x or start in middle or like what if it is very far into the series. do you only read books that are new series.

  • @SuperheroNerd213 I originally started to collect complete series. Like Amazing Spider-man 1-500, FF 1-500 etc...

Once I had done this, I decided to sell everything that was post-1985. So now I have all the runs from #1 to #250 or the last issue that came out before 1985.

Buy the keys first, then get the rest. I don't collect or read any new series (after 1985)

  • Hi guy, a huge colletion.

Can you tell me the name of the big one on the 2nd shelf (bottom to top) in the left side of the white one? Zoom at 1:22.

In the 4th shelf (bottom to top) is the great one: Sandman, Watchmen, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Planetary and what is the name of the Pink one and the other? At 1:25.

One more, what is that 10 volume edition that is in the shelf below the top one? At 1:28.

I'll be glad if you answer me all these questions. Thank you.
