Bullshit. He had one of the best (if not THE best) voices in the show's history. He didn't win because they don't judge based on pure singing ability, they judge on how much they personally were entertained by the arrangement and song choice.

I would like for him to record a duet with my new all-time favorite American Idol finalist Jasmine Murray from season 8. That would be in the form of a cover of the Luther Vandross classic "So Amazing", which was previously covered as a duet by Beyoncé and Stevie Wonder.
The title of the song is "All the Woman I Need." It was originally recorded by a female artist, Whitney Houston, as "All the Man That I Need." The late great Luther Vandross was the first male artist to cover this song.
