GREAT needle match between the 2 greatest players ever . RONNIE said iwant 2 beat him up badly, but for the umpteenth time HENDRY showed why he is the best.RONNIE has thumped STEPHEN in 2 semis since this , but STEPHEN was well past his best. 5 crucible clashes HENDRY 3 O 'SULLIVAN 2 .

today's quality better than Hendry's prime days? maybe, but today's best better than Hendry himself when he was in his prime? No chance. How comes John Higgins couldn't win anything apart from 1998  when Hendry and O'sullivan was in their prime yet Higgins destroys everyone now?

Yes Snookerfan92 has it right. And i remember Ronnie saying sometime that he lost some respect for Stephen when he lost in the 1999 Semi against him. I dont know what the reason was though, maybe the miss rule as Snookerfan92 says.

Yes it was, basically Ronnie O'Sullivan caused a stir when, prior to his 2002 semi-final match with Hendry, he stated that he wanted to "beat him [Hendry] up badly ... stick it right up him", and "send him back to his sad little life in Scotland, because Hendry had used the miss rule in an unsporting manner in a previous tournament.
