  • Vashti Bunyan is English and she originally recorded this song and several others for Andrew Loog Oldham in the 60s. Then she dropped out to live a simple, rural, frugal life in the Hebrides. This experience inspired her to record a beautifully expressive and gentle LP in the early 70s, and she sporadically appears on record or in concert when the mood takes her.

  • Lush does a great version of this song but it says unknown on the disc. That was released in 1996 and I guess this song wasn't a part of the original album so maybe that's why. I just found out who did the original. I love it and am going to get this album.
