@CodUndead Post an ad on Craigslist, and charge less than your competitors. That's what I did and it worked. Check out my gig logs when u get a chance.
Just curious I spin in Hawaii, and was wondering what the average price is for mobile dj's in the mainland. From what I can see the parties are way different too. People party a lot more here, lol.
@gast25m You can go to a fabric store and by a few yards of spanex, make a square frame for the bottom and attach to the top of pole for a cheap version. Some dj's like to use white spandex, then you can put a flood light in the bottom like the ones he had on the back wall to have color changing effect added. If you buy the pre-made ones it will cost you upwards of 60-80 bucks. You can get them on pretty much any dj supply site. I suggest pssl or pro sound stage and lighting.
You have the best gig logs on youtube. No drawn out clips.. all edited and filtered. Nice. I also like how you put in your little suggestive plugs for new equipment. I think you should be expecting a rock-n-roller cart sometime in the near future. Possibly a laptop stand/case ;)
good to see the 312s still getting out to your gigs =) ... bought a pair myself recently. can't get a better deal on good speakers.... Always enjoying the vids!
I've done a few nice quiet gigs like that in the past , everyone had fun and I got more work from them too. Been meening to ask for a while, like the others, What DJ software do you use and why? Can you do a video about this subject please. Hope you loved Germany and that extra large coke, I'm a pepsi man myself. Thanks for all your video's. YOU ARE A LEGEND !
Your system takes up as much as mine in the back of my van & I can, like you, still seat 4 people really comfortably. I still haven't figured out what DJ software I want to use just yet because there are like a billion of them now.
I have all sorts of lighting that I use but haven't quite figured out the best all around lighting just yet. I am loving your lighting system though. It's practical & seems to be pretty effective!!
very nice looking setup brian- the spherion looks great and the flat par tri7s look cool too. i am looking for something to wash the dancefloor either side of my revo burst(which is shining on dancefloor). do u think these will give enough spread for larger floors??
Hi Brian Great setup I also use the RCF setup 310a and 705 sub with pioneer djm5000 mixer just wondering what dj software you are using nowadays have a great trip to Germany,
Looking good brian. That collapses to nothing!!!!! You should see how big my system is. Its like a jigsaw puzzle to get it in the car. Was that a collapsable table you bought with you?
Very nice set-up! I like the classic white effect of the Spherion. That is why I went with the jellydome! I like the white for slow songs but the colored sound active program is nice for dancing.
VERY nice set-up. I wanna be like you when I grow up. I have made my load in as easy as possible. I built a small enclosed trailer with a ramp and I use 2 Rock-N-Roller carts. I load one up with lights, the other with sound. Roll them in the trailer and time them down loaded. When I get to a gig, I just drop the ramp, untie them and roll the whole thing in. This way I only have to load the cart once and indoors. Have fun, but not too much, in Germany!
@briansredd I have a rock n roller cart, and it works really well. However, you want to make sure you get the one that has rubber front tires that inflate. If you get the one that I have, that has hard rubber (maybe plastic) your front end of the cart sinks if the ground is soft.
Gotta love the furry walls, like in the movie "get him to the greek".
I think it looked great but The jellyfish seemed a bit overpowered and lost on the video but maybe to the human eye they looked better .
heres a suggestion Two Spherion TRI LED on totems skrimmed and up lit using the same flat pars and put at the back in the same place as the pars would have looked amazing , i know the totems would take up valuable car space but i think that would look the business and you could lose your trusty jellyfish
i agree, that was a clean clean looking set up.. up lighting may become my next string of investments.. and the WH looks awesome on the floor.. if only there was a way to do that, and keep it protected from would be soccer enthusiasts..
Hey, How can I get my name out, I want to start doing gigs but I just don't know where to start at.

hi brian,
nice setup.
well I hope I can find the right words to let you know what i want to know:
I´d like to know how you did hide the stands of your speakers?
the black triangelform looks very cool...
did you buy them anywhere or did you built them up yourself?
thank you for answering
:-)

Setup looks nice. The only thing I don't like about the Spherion is the blank row in the center of the light

you could strap the cart on the luggage rack of your truck. I have done that numerous times.

@MrBklein31 I think I'll have to buy a rock-n-roller this season. My Milwaukee cart is very nice, but just too bulky
