The record was awesome. And bold, as the song clearly was written for a male. She made it work. She could make ANY song work. She was a great artist, a plain girl who made herself fabulous and a tormented soul. She is very loved.

I was a close acquaintance of Dusty's. She was desperately trying to hide her bi-sexuality. I suggested therapy and she responded by trying to kill herself right in front of me. She ran with her head down straight at a wall. I jumped in between her and the wall and found myself out of breath. She would have smashed her head. She was very determined and indeed achieved her final "success" ultimately using an alternative method. I wish she would have seen a counselor.

I was looking for this clip since it disappeared quite a while ago. Thank you so much for putting in on again! There are so many thrilling performances by Dusty but this is my favourite. The dancers in half-light ... the minimalist atmosphere ... Dusty's poses ... her play with the camera ... just splendid!
