  • Imanari dislocated Brown's leg to the point that his leg was pulled out and to the side of his knee joint.

  • @KYgelly yes, the injury almost ended his career he never wants 2 tap but sometimes U have 2 2 avoid injuries like that. Did U C when he 1st came 2 the ufc as a lw he lost 2 Genki Sudo via armbar-triangle combo he tried pulling out of it slaming Sudo & turning with it but he had 2 tap after being stuck there close 2 a min. really impressed Rogan.

  • im sorry i might be blind but i cant tell what happened?

  • @206ernesto the UFC is the best there is man UFC > strikeforce though I will admit strikeforce has had some good fighters

  • @206ernesto dude ur point has already half been disproven though a few fighters still stand here's the chain for you. Velasquez vs Overeem winner Velasquez TKO King MO vs Jon Jones winner Jones KO (elbows) 1st round Dan Henderson vs Anderson silva winner silva choke 2nd round ( already happened) gsp vs sheilds winner GSP UD gsp vs nick Diaz winner GSP KO 3rd round Gilbert Melendez vs Frankie Edgar winner Edgar UD

  • tap before snap.

  • imanari, one of the best leg breakers, for sure. allways waiting for the perfect moment to attack, and very fast

  • I wait for the day someone breaks Imanari's knee.

  • Positions from the bottom are limited, pand all you can really do is submit or sweep. A few more options open up when you talk. About being on top....can submit as well as strike (sock him to lock him)

  • Mike has advantage the whole fight. One moment of carelessness and he is done. People who prefer to fight by physical strikes must really hate Imanari.

  • @aclock2 It may have appeared that way, but the majority of the fight consisted of Imanari pulling guard and probing Brown for weakness. He eventually found one.

  • wtf. that was some crazy shit. Only asians man. lmao! im jk

  • That was painful just to look at

  • his leg really got tweaked

  • its not a unexpected submission that ended the fight...thats just how imanari fights, every careful and if you slip than your done

  • got his ass kicked the whole match, then finally comes out with some jiujitsu and puts an end to the fight. great and unexpected turn around

  • @iMaKeUsHoOk Wouldn't call it much of an ass kicking just cause you're on the bottom doesn't mean your getting beat up. Actually a shit ton of Japanese grapplers love the bottom. People think you need to be on top just cause you can punch there. But you can pull submissions 50x better on the bottom. At least that's the way it is for me.

  • ouch!

  • because wen ufc fighters fight at other places their past their prime usually. member its not the organization its the fighters

  • and them brown went on the win the featherweight title breaking both the defenders hands. and defended it twice.

  • wow, quite amazing!

  • great fight

  • his leg did nearly break right there, mike brown almost had to stop fighting bc of this fight. his knee was nearly dislocated

  • not just nearly--it WAS dislocated and he had to have surgery, couldn't train or fight for like half a year after this. heel hooks/ankle locks are absolutely nasty. i'd much rather get punched in the face.

  • I wish Aoki n Imanari both improve their stand up skillz then they would be so complete.Like Gomi's would be awesome, that dude got some heavy hands.

  • If Aoki improved his stand up to the level of Gomi's(my #1 fav). Aoki would be literally unbeatable. The best fighter ever to step into MMA.

Buuuuut, thats not gonna happen. Good thought, though. lol

  • so godamn true!

  • aoki stood up recently..... sure was ummz fun to watch aye lol..... i think aoki should do what aoki does thats what makes him interesting to watch

  • imanari is legendary

  • damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. that was purty.

  • i could of sword his leg broke there that looks nasty

  • thats why I love leg locks. thats the game plan, whenever ur getting dominated a good leg lock just like ryo vs anderson:)

  • Imanari is the man!

  • omg!!!

this is sort of like when Ryo chonan pulled a flying scissor heel hook on silva

  • except imanari is consistent in his heel hooks

  • yeah but this one was better because he broke Mike Browns leg and because he was behind on scorecards so it was an awesome comeback. Chonan was ahead.

  • @Dereksag14 Someone getting their leg broken ESPECIALLY, an athelete, is never awesome. It truly hell, this meant Brown almost lost his job + gained a huge medical bill. The fight was great, but not because he leg was nearly broken.

  • If Mike's career ended i would never call it cool but he recovered so its nothing now.

  • Man was that a fast ending. Brown had this guy beat the whole way and he got caught in that nasty lock. That's just a b*tch.

  • yea, all the ufc champions go to fight other places and what happen?

they all get their ass beat !

  • Double true!

  • @206ernesto ufc champions?? mike brown has fought once that i know of in ufc, and lost. no disrespect to mike brown, he seems a sound guy and really funny. so what would happen? u dumb cunt

ufc is the best mma organization in the world by far, its a fact and you cant even argue that.

  • @iB3A5TzZ well, you were right about brown fighting once @ ufc, now the thing is that the ufc its all about propaganda.

All those fighters are not that good.

  • @206ernesto mike brown was bearly a champion

  • @206ernesto LOL right

  • @206ernesto #1 Brown was a WEC champ and this fight took place well before he won a title in the WEC. How many former UFC fighers are now champs in other organizations? Hendo ring a bell? How about Nick Diaz? With the exception of a few guys like Alvarez and Fedor, most dominant fighters ourside of the UFC were in the UFC at one time.

  • @tat2edup With the exception of Hendo and Diaz, most dominant fighters outside the UFC have never been in the UFC. Melendez, Kawajiri, Aoki, Alvarez, Mousasi, King mo, Feijão, Jacaré, Shields (signed recently and has beaten Hendo), Overeem, Pézão, Fedor, Sandro, Hioki, JZ, Thomsom... and the list goes on. UFC is indeed the 1st division in MMA (TODAY), but it's just stupid to assume it can hold ALL the top fighters in the world. It's just impossible.

  • @tat2edup Of course i'm saying this not taking into account that Zuffa has bought Strikeforce.

  • @206ernesto A) He wasn't a champ yet B) He was a WEC champ, back when the FW division was weak C) Really? Cause I seem to remember Chuck Liddell dummying Alistair Overeem, Machida dominating in three wins in K-1 among many, many other examples. If you're trying to prove that UFC champs aren't the best in the world, don't use old, archival footage of them fighting veterans while they're still newbies

  • @wipeoutolympics your answer is awesome!

I love it, the fact that you know so much, and yet don't see what you just said!

You are absolutely right, it was a long time ago, they were not in their best of their game.

and yes, Overeem was as week as Brown, today is a very different day, and the only way to find out if UFC champions are true champions is getting them to fight the Strike Force champions TODAY!

on in the near future(i mean this year or perhaps next year the latest)

  • @206ernesto

    Like who exactly?

  • @discoandherpes MMMM let me see! Spiderman Silva??? maybe???

    lol.

  • @206ernesto

Before Anderson Silva was in the UFC, he beat Hayato Sakurai, who was supposedly the greatest welterweight in japan.

  • @206ernesto Mike Brown is hardly a champion at anything

  • @taotd yeah, he used to be good

  • MY boy Imanari DID HIM DIRRRRRTY!!!!

  • AYE MATIEEE! YARRRRRR!!!!

  • brown was the more well rounded fighter then and now. Imanari is great at what he does but brown should have executed better and known that imanari is the leglock master. and leglocks should not be made illegal. consider the fact that spine lock can also be use.

  • Or maybe Mike Brown should get a clue and tap sooner.

  • @fuckfrank Its not that easy. Ankle locks are very dangerous because they are unpredictable, one mintue it may not hurt then all of a sudden you hear your ankle snap. And to top it off your addrenline is pumping. Thats y they are the most dangerous submissions in Jiu jitsu.

  • @Katsuya89 After watching a few more of Imanari's highlights I can see that. If you didn't recognize what was happening you might wait just a liiittle too long.

  • @fuckfrank Yeah, i've seen it happen before in BJJ tournament too where guys thinks its all good, but all of the sudden they are screaming in pain. Whenever someone tries an ankle lock on me I instantly try to defend it with high caution, since I know all the dangers of it. But Imanari is one of the best in the world at ankle locks, and tapped out many BJJ black belts, so I would probably just tap before he even secures it, if that was me lol.

  • @Katsuya89 That's exactly why I said Brown should have tapped earlier, you'd have thought he'd recognize the position he was being put into. Sometimes the drive to win just outweighs common sense.

  • ooooh man that was from the book !

  • or mike could have realized that he wasnt going anywhere and that his leg was about to snap and TAP... instead of SNAP

  • Yea, and kicks to the head too, damn dangerous them too. And hitting too, you can get really hurt from someone hitting you hard enough...

  • The sport is dangerous. I practice BJJ and do MMA and I don't think it is too dangerous.

  • Think he tried a similar setup to that and got ko'd by a knee. Not sure who it was against. Some Norweign guy. Forget his name

  • Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen

  • that was against joachim hansen. he hit him hard as fuck too.

  • Mike Brown FUCKING RULES!!!

I want to be him so much maan (:

  • lol

  • i just realized that he's like fucking 5' 6''...lol

besides his size he is everything i wanna be if i was a fighter

  • Wow! lets see him try to do that Mike Brown now.

  • Thats 10th degree Ashikan judan there for u guys lol.Imanari was never known for his stand up in fact his Boxing skills r wack but he has that crazy leg locks tho.

  • Ashikan Judan is great, but I like Tobikan Judan better :]

  • that was the illest thing i've ever seen...nobody can work legs like that.

  • HERE IS THE ILLEST GO AHED AND TYPE:

Anderson Silva caught in a flying leg scissor heel hook

  • imanari made a nunchuka out of his leg...leg lock if mastered is dangerous because too many americans relie on the ground to recharge...not the japanese..

  • imanari pwnd brown

  • Very niCe mike brown =)

  • mike brown was owning him for most of that fight definitely better stand up, good job pulling the submission tho on Imanari's part gotta give him props

  • at 0:46 hes like "i wanna move him off but i dont wanna touch his pecker." lmao

  • sick sliding leg lock

  • anyone know what the music is named/called or w/e?

  • SERIOUSLY. Where does he pull does leg/ankle submissions out of?

I would hate to fight Imanari, even if I'm twice as big.

  • yeah i've seen the end before and didn't realize it was mike brown either

  • Wow! I have seen this before, but I didn't know that it was the same Mike Brown who defeated urijah Faber to win the WEC championship.

But then Shinya Aoki easily defeated Imanari in an exhibition match.

  • imanari is shinya's shisho though

  • he broke his leg?

  • He would have torn nearly every ligament in his knee.

  • pulled it out of the socket

  • Mike is a strong mother fucker. In the coming Brown vs Faber 2, Mike Brown will win by ground and pound over Urijah Faber in the first round.

  • @WorldExtremeCholo but before that he lost to Luiz Azeredo who is and still is a complete nobody.

and he also lost to Daiju Takase who is another nobody and still that way.

all the sudden Spider goes to ufc and nobody can't stop him, and he is a legend, WTF? all i'm saying is that i want to see all this ufc ladies fight other organizations and see what happens.

  • @206ernesto

But he beat the greatest Japanese welterweight of all time.

The point is, UFC has the best fighters.

  • interesting with the ear-smacking thing he did

  • yea never seen anybody else do that in mma

  • Torres vs Maeda, Torres really put that to work

  • THAT WAS DEEEEEEEEEEEEEP ^^

  • that scream sounds like it came straight from a video game... did he tear his ACL there ?

  • Yeah. He got maimed man.

  • Ouch, my knee hurts just looking at that.

  • WOW!! That was incredible!

Mike Brown fought pretty good.. But holy shit, that was a wicked heel hook setup! Out of nowhere!

You must have respect for anyone with this type of skill, or you are deceiving yourself.. Never deceive yourself!

  • oh wow, made him sonnen and junk.

  • mikes knee got fucked up

  • ...which is why he has a winning record and has probably submitted more BJJ blackbelts than any active MMA fighter. How the fuck are heelhooks cheap? A couple years ago people were dismissing them as ineffective and have only started to change their minds because of Imanari and a few others. The fact that he's able to maintain a position as one of the top FWs in the world despite his utter lack of stand-up skill is a testament to how effective they can be.

  • @Kagemusha08 I think not so much cheap as they are dirty. Because victims usually require surgery. If you ever go to a bbj school and see a black belt with a scar on the side of his knee... ask him about it. he will most likely say "heel hooked"

  • @crabbit87 so what its not dirty you just have to tap on time

  • The last man to stop Brown, that was sick.

  • that was fucking slick!

  • if this dude fought brown now he would have some trouble... american top team has done him well

  • imanari is in his prime now too, it would be damn interesting fight...

  • The Jan. guy definitely felt the power of Mike :)

  • imanari is a ninja

  • not a top contender in the UFC? He is 145 and that guy he owned in that video is the WEC champion. If UFC had a 145 division, he would do just fine.

  • For those wondering why Imanari maims so many people: it probably isn't him being malicious. They're just much, much more dangerous than arm-locks. In order to do it properly you have to really, really crank the leg, which is why people who are masters at heel-hooks (Shamrock in his prime, Imanari) have such imposing reputations. It isn't because they want to hurt the other guy, they just want to win.

  • very true, arm versus leg needs to be cranked, AND the ankle ges in every direction so you gotta push it hard anyways.

  • jesus, how many knees has this guy destroyed. Gurgel's knee is still messed up, Jean Silva is probably just as bad, and apparently Brown needed surgery after this.

  • Or maybe you don't understand the concept of BJJ or Catch Wrestling. His strenght is leg locks. If he saw an opening to catch one, win the fight, why not take it?

That Knee Kimura was innovative. What a master.

  • that is imanari's style... and many people fear it... just ask the people who no longer participate in mma because of imanari's knee ripping submissions

  • this proves that there are great fighters outside of the US

Dana nut huggers wake up please

  • This is a couple of years ago. Mike Brown has improved and is still improving (his stand up still needs work). Todays Mike Brown would have pounded Imanari more. Still Imanari has some of the craziest leglocks I've ever seen..look him up.

  • MASAKAZU!

  • Brown beat d shit out of Faber so is that make Imanari WEC featherweight champ? wink wink just kidding:))

  • reminds me of chonan and Silva!!!

  • ahhh that sneaky little bastard lol, didn't see that comin.

  • wow, did he pretend to slip? people who think Mike Thomas Brown was 'whooping'him are silly. obviously what Imanari did hurts more thatnwhat Mike Thomas Brown did.what is this guy, a serial killer? "Mike Thomas Brown"

  • Brown prolly would have taken a decision but Imanari has a very good guard so he could have gone for a sub at any time. Obviously Imanari didn't let that happen though.

  • mike brown is gonna get his ass handed to him when he fights faber

  • you got that right

  • lol:P look what happened:P

  • I hope you don't bet on your wrong predictions

  • i never bet money on mma matches because you never know what's going to happen, no matter who is favored more. i'm sure faber would do alot better if he had a rematch with brown.

  • if your name is not fedor.. :D

  • I agree... I mean look what happend to anderson silva with that heel hook

  • Hope you didn't put money on that, man.

  • Mike was pretty much whoopin his ass until the leg lock.....

  • I wouldn't say Mike was "whoopin his ass" in this match. Imanari was doing some great defense work on the ground. Sure, some strikes landed but nothing serious in the long run. That is just how Imanari fights. He has his own way of doing things in a match and before you know it he gets various attempts at submissions, especially leg locks.

Imanari is a very clever fighter. You could even say scientific. Is he beatable? Of course he is, but he knows what he's doing. Love his fights!

  • If you had noticed imanari intentionally get down on the ground quite a few times. Maybe knowing that Mike was better at strikes he decided to play it on the ground instead. Whoopin ass? Mike had to try his best to knock imanari out before his heels gets caught by him.

    Unfortunately his heels got caught.

  • Only thing that matters is the man who is standing at the end of the fight.

  • He ripped his knee out of his socket... yea, fuckin pussy.

  • stop being a faggot you would probably fuckin shit your pants and cry on command if you got caught in a submission

  • go to a bjj school and challenge a black belt see if they wont have you sqqwweeeellin like a pig.

  • your an idiot

  • Faber lost :D:D lol noob

  • hey mike brown congrats on following your dreams good luck on sept 10th maine is behind you all the way. like to see this fight again brown was distroying him.

  • WHO WON?? WHY STOP IT

  • the japanese guy. why stop it? erm... cuz he won? lol

  • If you had your leg/heel twisted would u still continue fighting? Of cuz the fight stopped.

  • I think Mike is going to pull it off against Faber. Its pretty much a local fight for him and Mike looks to be in amazing shape

  • Sick sub. Mike Brown's next challenge is going to be even tougher....Uriah Faber

  • HAj Samo uto ,, huahuahua co za typy , fucked comentator :P

  • all i can say is fuck....lack of knowledge got mike brown KILLED

  • What an ASSHOLE. Ok, Maybe Brown throw more punches but at the end he made a desition, a COUNCIOUS desition, he decided to tap, and that is what counts, taping is to admitt that your oponent was superior

Imanari make him scream, just look at his face

  • He screamed and then tapped you idiot. Obviously you have never competed in your entire life.

  • so what?

  • so you don't know what you're talking about

  • omg. imanari is god. i will go visit him. at the very last dam second he pulls his rolling heel lock...christ

  • at the same time

  • I know this is gonna piss someone off, but i really think imanari is the best at 145. His style is just so unorthodox you cant train for it. I really believe he could sub faber, and kid. Were imanari would have trouble however is against someone like yahya, who is better at grappling.

  • that fight seems like it took forever cuz im so use to imanari finishing things off in seconds

  • Soooooooooo, what style does Imanari do.

  • He fights out of Team Roken in Kanagawa

    Catch wrestling team

  • WTF!!! awesome leglock!!

  • And that's proof of how dangerous twisting leg locks (especially heel hooks) are.

  • took longer than his usual 00:XX sec of R1 fights

  • hahahahahahahah, this stuff should so be banned but it's fun to watch other people get hurt bad!
