Nice video. I also have a Gold Cup, my gun is a series 80. I just noticed a problem with the gun. If I put on the safety, then press on the trigger and then engage the grip safety.let off both.. then release the safety.. the hammer falls firing the gun.. I called colt and the CS agent asked me why I would do that?(systems check!) I thought I was calling Kimber for a minute. I had to actually stop and think if I called kimber and not colt.. Just check your gun in that fashion.

i think you need a new thumb safety. it probaby wasnt fitted right and allowing the sear to move . sounds like by pressing the trigger with the safety on, the sear disengage the hammer half way and the safety is barely keeping the sear from fully disengage and just kept the hammer from falling. there is a slight play in the safety and sear relation and the sear and hammer could be a little worn out aswell. but i put my money on the thumb safety. get a gun smith to fit you a new one .

What i found helpful, even though it sounds stupid. get some warm clothes on and go outside a couple hours a day. you will gradually get used to it enough to focus on shooting rather than freezing ur but off...

What kind of neon stickers are you using? Loving your pistols.  I have a series 80 Gold Cup and a Combat Commander enhanced (nowhere as nice as yours though). I definitely need to practice shooting more.

feel the trigger, remove the slack and slowly pull the trigger. proper breathing control also helps in precision shooting

thanks, did you noticed the neon stickers i placed on the front and rear sight? it really helps a lot to see if the front sight is far to left or far to right. i simply align the stickers and form a straight line and presto the projectile hits the target
