So disappointed with this. You get good results. But it's impossible to follow what you're doing for three reasons: 1. you go way too fast. 2. we can't see what shortcut keys you're using and shit happens randomly and 3. your video description and subtitles are just gibberish. What the hell does "turn to highpass the overlay" mean?

@own8ge by don't blurring it in the first place. You should never blur the texture of the skin! it screams amateur and fake.

after you fix your blemishes. copy the red channel into layer 3. then switch to lumin.

apply warming photo filter , density 30%. copy that layer then blend using screen overlay 30%, add a layer mask and paint over the skin. thats the basics . rest is sharpening and fine tweeking. If you over smooth she will look like plastic. If I had to do this much post production fixing , I'd fire my makeup artist.

@greytiger agreed! am actually fairly new to Ps and I think this tutorial is great. It is faster but the slow ones don't teach you shit! This was more than efficient and I found that watching it a few times helped bc learning Ps is all about REPETITION!

Having now tried to follow this video and complete the actions on a dual screen.... please feel free to disregard my previous recommendation 11 hours ago!!

A good video but as there is no sound and many shortcuts are used without explanation eg. the deletion of layers at various stages, copying of layers, the creation of a layer mask in the channels that was possibly there before the video started etc etc, this video very difficult to follow. However, it has given me insight into how to do it!

This is just what I have been looking for.

Someone tried to tell me that I needed to fix every single pore individually with the spot healing brush!!!!.... If I tried that method i'd barely have time to take pictures let alone retouch them! lol

Also I liked the technique for the eyes. I usually use dodge and burn tools for contrast and depth, but this way is much quicker.

The only suggestion to make this a better video is if you voiced over it rather than soft music and text.

@innysik2008 You'd have to get your photoshop your beyond basics down first. Try checking out some Julianne Kost portrait/Adobe PHotoshop tutorial dvd's -- i found those helpful but be prepared for hours and hours of learning. Photoshop isn't an overnight lesson. unless this tatter person has basic tutorials of course.( not trying to direct anyone's business).

i understood everything, if you cant udnerstand from watching ur not ready yet...

the whoel first part was adding a luminance layer using teh red color channel from the color channel to brighten the image up... it was necessary to do this asi t was a dark image to begin with, and simply brightening with brighten contrast onyl adds more noise
