@ninetwentyone I guess you'd have to be in a fairly large, and uncluttered room. It's likely her head hit a piece of furniture of another hard object during the fall. Also, she probably buckled at the knees when she fell rather than pitching over completely erect. It's a really sad story. I hope she gets better and lives a healthy life. I know Zhang Juncai's visit really affected her in a positive way.

Saw this doc a few weeks ago. Great documentary. I was amazed how tall these people were but Zhang Juncai's personality was more amazing even at that height he doesn't feel like an outsider at all - its no hindrance to him very inspiring.

@tyga42 he is right about his health. He is in relatively good health compared to many pituitary giants (he's already 43 btw). Some pituitary giants develop acromegaly which slowly and painfully kills them (like Tomas Pustina). Although Juncai has spinal curvature and he is a good 3-4 inches shorter than he really is, at least he can walk without crutches or is confined to a wheel chair.

As of August 25th, 2009 he surpassed Zhang Jucai as the world's tallest living human. Interestingly, Kosen was measured again recently (February 9th, 2011) and grew another two inches in a space of a year and a half. At present he's 8'03".

He was measured on a Japanese game show at about 7'11 1/2 barefoot along side with 7'9 Xishun back in May 2006. I can show you the vid if you wish. What I am surprised is how incompetent Guinness really is considering that almost everyone on the Internet already knew about this for several years and yet they continued to list Xishun as the tallest and then that faker Stadnyk. However, he wasn't standing straight during the measurement and if he stood straight he would probably be be 8'2 or 8'3

he's the only guy on Earth we know of who's comparable in height to Kosen besides Alexander Sizenenko, a former Soviet basketball player who is a legit 7'10 last measured 20 something years ago. That man was also denied recognition by Guinness even though he WAS proven to be taller than 7-8 Alam Channa, a former Guinness tallest man. Pretty much shows how incompetent Guinness is.
