  • Japan mens 2011 AFC champs and now Ladies win woo!! Sweep gj ladies :)

  • fifa 2014 brazil

  • the most important rule of this game is to score one goal more than your opponent. If you don't you loose and the other team is the winner. And japan is the winner. You could feel the energy of this game. A wonder was going to happen and I loved it.

So please...give this japanese ladies the credits...they really deserved it. David won from Goliath by being smart.

  • @pulaat They were very smart, I watched the whole thing and they played a ground game because they knew that their opponents were much larger than them and had a heigh advantage when it came to controlling the ball though chipping. Strategy wins XD

  • @KELLERMANisBACK exactly.....i loved watching this game....great

  • they won for a stupid reason

  • @bigdaddy4381 what was the stupid reason?

  • I forgot to mention about this video: It's awesome...I really like the analysis. You probably are australian?

  • Comment removed

  • Well said sir! Would you like to come over to the States and teach proper journalism to the cunts that currently control the media? Fantastic analysis, and a fresh prospective we are denied by these corporate fuck holes that control are media. Biggie ups!

  • im glad japan won. the U.S. (my country) failed so badly on thoughs penalty kicks. Japan def deserved the win.

  • sour grape

  • hijo de puta, tus putos comentarios mal nacido, inserta videos mas llamativos

  • In my opinion, it doesn't matter who played better or worst. It's the final result that counts. Japan won, let them enjoy their title.

  • there is no glory in defeating the weak ... but Japan proved, that even stronger opponents can be defeated. Nippon banzai :)

  • @crazed235, do u remember an offside call that was made against a Japanese player which was totally wrong. Had it not being called, it was more that obvious without the shadow of doubt that the Japanese player will be left one- on- one with Solo. Let's just leave this issue. Japan played a more superior game that day. They were the ones that ousted Germany, Sweden, and ultimately the U.S. They deserved the championship by all means possible.

  • @femmy321 The offside call was the refs fault and usa couldnt do anything about that. USA dominated the game and japan only scored from a single american mistake and when hope solo was injured. There is no way you can watch the entire game and say japan played better. USA had better plays and created oppurtunities. USA by the way took out france and brazil so japan and usa would have both deserved the win.

  • @crazed235, really? Do you remember an off

  • But nobody remembers alex morgan getting tackled when she was going to score the game winner and the defender getting a red card? I thought the match was a well played, fair match until that point. Japan did play dirty even if it was for only one play. And America had an oppurtunitiy to waste the clock when hope solo was injured in the last minutes of the match. In an interview she said she decided thats not how she wanted the US team to win. the next play japan equalized. USA played better.

  • @1982blaugrana their play is indeed good. But you have to look at their overall strenght ;)

Japan plays really good combination soccer.

  • I am glad that Japanese women won at the world cup. I hear that the women who were playing the soccer in old days was called tomboy in Japan. what do those tomboys think about this winning, I want to ask to them.

    ♪ヽ(´▽`)/

  • japan!!!

  • 22 girls one cup

  • Wait...since when did we ever care about soccer and to top it off, women soccer?

  • That's not the focus "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"

  • USA was the better team overall in my opinion. But!

The mistakes they made in front of their goal where fatal.

And the japanese players used these opportunities.

And in the penalties Japan had the better goalkeeper.

A win like I saw is always a good win :D

With a little bit more practice to strike goals.

The woman team of Japan could be always successful.

    Trying the best is everything.

If you use all the time 100% success will come.

  • Japan took down Sweden, and Germany. Obviously USA should have been warned how good the Japanese players were. I am so proud of them

  • I watched and saw the Japanese take a step back, then...

  • I wish Japan woulda played and beat Brazil. Japan won with patients, grace & love. Brazils performance against USA was the most PATHETIC display of un-sportsmanship I've ever witnessed!! Bitching & crying & faking injuries to run down the clock. Brazil was embarrassingly pathetic! I wish Japan woulda beat them!! Japan girls...thank you for showing the world how it's done!! Bravo!! I will never forget you girls : )

  • @leee50studios

Are you from USA or Japan? I'm brazilian, and I completely agree with you. Brazil showed how a team should not do in a game. Very shameful for brazilian women's football. One of the worst matches for Brazil, in the World Cup history.

  • I'm Japanese but all Japanese know USA was better than Japan on all of points in the match. Japan was having only the power of will. As a result Japan won the match. However I wonder that being No.1 on the official record is not valuable but doing our best and beyond the potential is more important. Both teams are winner. Cheers!

  • @zaq12wsxmasa

Exactly. It was one of the best examples of what sports is all about. And our US team will be back; in the Olympics and the next World Cup. Japan now commands respect in international soccer and I think that's awesome, and I hope it gave the nation at least a moments relief from all that has happened.

  • @zaq12wsxmasa You must really be proud of your women's team.

  • @zaq12wsxmasa i think you're too modest

i saw japanese players who where playing as a team and had many well-constructed actions, especially with the passes from Homare Sawa. Both teams offered a great show and deserved to win, but i'm glad Japan did because they showed that the height is not important, like male players in the Barca team: messi, xavi, iniesta

  • Yeah, it's kind of annoying to see the US painted w.such a broad brush by so many people. I'm American and I thought the game was excellent; and I was torn because while one kind of intinctively roots for one's country I knew that Japan winning was the better and more meaningful story.

Japan won the game fair and square with heart and skill and that is always a joy to watch.

  • japan deserves it so much they are a big threat till the next year i hope we have the dream remach next time i will be watching it if it heppens they played with heart and capitalized on the usa mastakes enjoy ur victory japan and i do say congrats to the japan people when i pass by them at work its an honor to say hello

  • they did their best, thats why they won.

  • Hey dude I was really kinda hoping you would have filmed inside a bar or something where people were watching the game! I know it was like 3 am in the morning or something but still... I wanted to see the reaction!

  • "...ganbarimashita" :)

    Well done Japan!

  • To everyone who is bashing America, the VAST majority of us don't give a shit about soccer, so the minority that say stupid shit are just that, the MINORITY!

  • @Volf99 Vast majority? Thats funny because last I read football is the worlds most popular sport. Thats probably why its been given so much attention by the news media, which is why you know about it. So really, its not knowing the fact that you don't care about football, its knowing that you are aware of it, and you knowing your nation lost, that makes me happy. Because I know it bothers you to some degree.

    tl;dr U mad

  • @nandimri clearly you DIDN'T read what I wrote. I say it again. MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DON'T CARE ABOUT SOCCER. YES THE WORLD CARES ABOUT SOCCER BUT NOT AMERICANS.

Also, I'm glad Japan won and I would only be bothered if this was the MEN'S soccer championship.

  • @Volf99 Americans (in my area in California) love soccer. Idk but you kinda make Americans look bad and seem disrespectful to women and the great sport of soccer.

  • @goe5 don't get me wrong, I don't hate women its just that I only watch FIFA when the men are playing because most of my friends that like soccer only pay attention to the men's league. However, just look at how the WNBA is made fun of in the media to see how its biased. As for liking soccer, yes there are Americans that like soccer, but (your American so I think you would agree) it seems there is much more focus on Baseball, Basketball and most of all, (American) Football.

  • @nandimri its popular in other countries, not america.

Americas most popular sports are Basketball, and American Football..and also baseball...

  • Lol the American's are sore losers.

  • USA is fucking ignorant as fuck, that is the game of SOCCER! Have they forgotten that the US have always won on penalties such as games against China, Brazil, France etc...and now they wanna change the rules??? pathetic, they can never respect a loss

  • @goe5 it's not everyone who believes that, just a few sore losers who make everyone else look bad. The game was amazing! I'm really happy for both teams to have made it so far

    Congrats Japan! :)

  • @goe5 were not ignorant, we just don't give a shit about soccer, especially when its woman's soccer. I'm American but I personally always root for Germany :)

  • Thanks for the video. I watched Japan win and it was great to see that!

On another topic, how about a video about dogeza? Have you ever seen anyone do it? Do you do it to your wife every day? j.k.

  • Change the rules? Football is nothing for americans. xD

I don't really care about women football, so i was happy that they won against our team and even more happy that they won against the usa. :D

But the final was the most interesting women football game i've seen so far, congrats to Japan!

  • japan rock... you win when u do your best.

  • I very much love how Japan womens soccer team displayed such interigtry, grace and respect during their great win!

  • women's soccer is like horseracing with donkeys

  • I have heard things like this about Japan before, it is a great attitude that everyone should take up. Thanks for the videos.

  • @robertha Oh, I know a lot about it.

You were bashing Japan after they won, so you obviously were jealous. And you know, being happy for having won does not mean you consider yourself the best. Besides, there is no such thing as "the best". They won, so people should be happy for them. Period.

  • JAPAN NEEDED THIS..GO JAPA

  • I was rooting for Japan even when they were playing against my own country :p

    GO JAPAN :D

  • ah congrats to them, I like how they are so modest , very honorable, keeps peace.

  • Im not really interested in Soccer + i'm German but I was still kinda happy when Japan won against our team ^^;;

  • They also kinda focus on team sport and what not

  • Seems like we can learn alot about japanese sportsmanship. instead of focusing on being #1 and winning we should focus on doing our best and knowing at the end of the day we did our best. I know some already practice it but some feel its important to be #1 as opposed to doing your best.

  • Japan will no doubt be making anime about women football that will reference the 2011 world cup gold medal! Football(soccer) in japan will rise even higher thanks to this win.

  • watch?v=PtJMi_EeawA

    we the best!! LOL

  • you know, just because the freakin japanese react on the outside differently, doesnt mean they feel it on the inside differently. you know what we call that in america? BEING FAKE!

I know a shitload of japansese who celebrate winnings another way.... not "did their best"...you, fallin in love with a culture that is fading in japan, is hoping and wishing to cling on to their tradition ways of doing business....the young Japanese crowd... WERE DIFFERENT!!!!!

  • @robertha You obviously don't know as much about Japanese mentality than you pretend you do. Of course they're happy to win, but they are still not "we're the best and the rest are loosers" like other countries do.

In any case, your comment just proves you're jealous, so you're not being very credible.

  • @bizaroid stfu, japanese menatliy, so you speak for the millions of japanese in japan? what do you know about the suicide rate in japan? what do you know about new cultures taking over old ones, what doy ouknow about "TIME"? you dropping the world LOOSERS is just changing my whole game, you fuckin moron. I didnt call anybody or person a "LOOSERS" trying their BEST...makes them be the BEST....give me the definition to the word BEST.

  • @robertha U MAD?? oh and haters gonna hate :D

  • @bizaroid in addition, the fuck am i jealous about? being celebrating a win? I study psychology. what do you study?

  • @bizaroid if anybody is going to join an international game and play by its rules. They should fully understand that the rules say if you WIN WORLD CUP, be default, every other team is a LOSER or loses. In addition, 2nd place is the first loser. Thanks

  • In Argentina is all about being number one or it;s not worth it. Not that it's a good thing, just saying.

  • booooo! from america. just kidding good for them. honestly 98 percent of america don't care about soccer. usa is number 1!! ichma!!

  • i wanted them to win

  • I actually saw this on TV and my dad was routing for USA while I was routing for Japan and when Japan I was like "YES" and he was like on the TV like WTF :3

  • Hope Solo is hot.

  • 2011 has been a bad year for Japan. So it is high time to cheer up the Japanese for once.

  • I was watching their match against Sweden and Japanese were really good although there were some moments.... anyway they managed to get into finals and kicked american ass :)

    Nippon omedeteou gozaimasu!

  • "They did their best and we will continue to do our best ... train harder etc"

That's quite common from official persons, but if you look at the fans they're jumping up and down screaming "we're number one!".

  • i wish people like you that know that we arent the best...hate people who are stuck up and cocky or extremely unconfident and pessimistic, not that im a normal one since im one of them but its just i hope the society would strive to know our positions

  • Comment from the Nadeshiko captain Homare Sawa (from Guardian.com) "We're so happy about the title and so happy that we stayed in the tournament so long," she said. "Now we're No1. We had so much self-confidence all the way to the end and we all believed in ourselves all the way. That's why we won deservedly."

  • 8 people did not do their best

  • I am so ashamed of how TV Networks here in The States, like ESPN, are saying that the U.S. team choked, and that they need to change the rules of the game. It's like they can't accept that Japan won fairly. Congratulation to team Japan. ( From The USA )

  • @star69angle What are they saying should be changed?

  • @XtremeGoose The ESPN talking heads on shows like "Around The Horn", "Pardon the Interruption", and "Sports Nation", complained that penalty kicks, are a stupid way to break a tie score. Never mind the fact, thats the rules. I'm sure if the US had won, they would then say it's fair. ( Sore losers... How Embarrassing !!! )

  • @star69angle I'm with you! I feel such second-hand embarrassment being American and living with these people who think in this manner. It's beyond ridiculous and it saddens me. Not in a "that's pathetic" way, simply a true, honestly sad way. :|

  • @star69angle Well just remember the the US players themselves were very humble and gracious in defeat. If the players can do that, then there's no excuse for the rest of us. Japan certainly provide a good example of being humble in victory, and the US was humble in defeat (despite what any conventional wisdom says about US attitudes and behavior).

  • @star69angle well most Americans like to feal superior to the rest of the world as a people and as a country.. excepting that the Japanese as better and superior in a pointless game would go againt the way alot of peoples thought of the usa being the best place on earth full of the best people

  • @star69angle Well that was the initial appraisal of some commentators... but you shouldn't interpret that as somehow being biased against the Japanese -- it was more of a misplaced criticism of the US team. That was simply disappointment talking. It was far more insulting to the US ladies than the Japanese, if you really stop and think about it...

Also, the US WERE the statistical favorites by a long way... the Japanese women had never beaten the US team. The record was like 26-0-3 before.

  • Good to see they don't go over the top with sports. Great example Japan is.

  • Even in anime doing your best shows as a important factor

  • They did their best. /clap clap

  • Was a fantastic tournament and Japan has a really nice game to watch. Congratulations ;)

  • congrats to japan they really deserve some happiens after that disaster i guess that japanse arent that kind od people who go out to celebrate wildly

  • Of course they don't say we're #1 and boast about winning....they are a humble, classy civilization. In business, it is not unusual that they would rather cut off their hands than screw you over as well. Says a lot about them and my country...

  • i wish it was like that up here in canada, instead we prefer to burn down cities when we lose or win hockey games, but then again, hockey is serious business ;)

  • YAY!!!!!!!!! GO JAPAN!!!!! AI NIHON

  • BONZAI GO JAPAN!!! e//v///e

  • That's why I love Japan best! :D USA is definitely sad, but I bet a lot of people are blaming the goalie too.

  • This is refreshing. I normally don't play any type pf completion with most people here because of the whole "we are number one" thing. Great video, very useful to know.

  • The game was great! Loved it. I was screaming a lot and it was so exciting! XD So glad Japan won!!

  • And of course, great that Japan won ! ^^

  • It's nice to listen to you when you are drivin' your car :D

  • Inspiring video!

  • I admire Japanese pleople! N that is one of the things that I like about them. Gash I wish I could live there T.T but great video want to see more (=^.^=)

  • The Japanese team played well and their players came through for them when it mattered. Both teams played well and everyone should be proud of themselves. As you said, "everyone did their best".

  • Japan has been through a lot this year. It has been very devastating, and very difficult for everyone. It's great to heat that they are now the champions, after everything that they've gone through, they really deserve it.

  • I did my best at click that like button, and will continue to do my best at clicking the like button and I hope my fellow youtubers will together with me continue to do their best at pressing the like button. Let's do our best for happy life!

  • Thanks for another great video hope to see more soon ^^

  • ganbatte is all they friggin think about! how can they have that kind of mindset? japanese society is so different

  • I wish other countries thought of it that way. I never really stopped to realize it when we Americans did the whole "we're the best" thing. It explains those people who get insane over their sports teams. When they win they shove it in people's faces.. when they lose they want to condemn the players and almost excommunicate them. It's ridiculous. We really should learn a few manners from the Japanese.

  • This really made my day :) Japan is the BEST!!!!!

  • thejapanchannel is the best and I do my best to watch them all

  • USA Goalie, Y U NO BLOCK THAT SHOT?

  • im tempted to say something we are all thinking, but that would just get me blocked from the channel. lol

    free speech any1?

  • Congratulation japan :)

  • Nippon!!! Nippon!! Nippon!!!

  • I watched the game, I'm so happy for them. I'm disappointed in the American trends on twitter.. Damn it really was a kick ass game.

  • Funny because outside of Japan, when someone loses they say they did their best.

  • The US team played horrible offense. They failed to score on three occasions and very terrible defense gifted the championship to Japan. The US teams need to train harder ;-).

  • I am so happy for them. Japanese women can do anything!!

  • Of course I wanted the US to win, but if it couldn't be us, I'm glad it was Japan. They deserve some goodness after what they've gone through this year.

  • Japan deserved to win the world cup

  • To be honest with you, I rather hear their true feelings that they feel like they're number 1 instead of holding back at such a happy time. I personally love competition and if my team didn't win, I like hearing the other team brag about it because it gives you that much motivation to want to win for the next time. I'm not here to talk bad about any country, and especially Japan, because I have a lot of respect for Japan, but I think there's a reason the U.S. is so good at most things.

  • @dr3pts i agree with you Japan should be celebrating instead of them saying we did our best that is boring your finally won the world cup and all you can say you did your best that make me sad

  • @dr3pts so good at most things? like killing people? or the healthcare in the USA? Yeah riiiight....

  • @zn4rf I meant most sports. I wasn't talking about any of that other stuff. This discussion had nothing to do with that.

  • I think teams in the US are learning graciousness as well. Often one hears the hero or most valuable player or the coach say "we did our best and the other team did their best. On another day they might have won but today we won." Don't know where we got this but I think it's a touch of the American notion of the modest hero. But outside in the streets, there definitely is the old "We're #1!"

  • It's just like the Japanese to act like this and of course there is nothing wrong with being modest about winning.

But I do think it kinda works better if you have a really enthusiastic crowd supporting you and actually acknowledging the fact that they did something great.

Nobody likes arrogant people, but being to modest might factor in people not giving it there all.

  • I must a bit disagree with your words here (22-30 sec), directly after the match the Captain of the japanese team (Homare Sawa) gave an interview, and she said something like this

"We are really happy, now we are the number 1 in the world".^^

There are always expections i know, but all in all i think you are totally right about the japanese attitude.

  • I was happy for the Japanese women's team and the country. Even a small thing to bring joy to the country is well deserved!

  • congrats japan!

  • Congrats Japan from the States! I wanted my team to win but knew how good this victory would feel to the people of Japan. The sign the japanese players displayed after every win thanking people for support was awesome. Sportsmanship at it's best.

  • Congrats to Japan. I think the Japanese are as thrilled with their success as just anyone, but in their culture, it's immature to go around bragging that they have kicked other people's asses. Their winner's pride will make them work even harder to stay on top. I admire their attitude.

  • Nise woek from the Girls:) .

  • I love the Japanese attitude :D

I saw that thei did their best ^__^

I watched the game here in germany....and it was soooo exciting x) x)

It was the first soccer game I saw in whole xDxD

thei really did a great job... :D

    Omedetouuu Team Japan !!! x}

  • well done to japan :)

  • So, was there, like, public-viewing for the finals? Did people watch the game on TV? Do many people in Japan know about the team members (names, position and so on)? Is there a huge difference about women and men playing soccer? Are people in Japan generally rather interested in soccer? Did the team make headlines, even before they got so far?

I'm curious to lern more! =)

  • Theyre not celebrating that much because... theyre women... and they belong in the kitchen.

  • @iflykaii That's uncalled for. They did a good job man ^_^ have some respect.

  • the concept of modesty really isn't just unique to Japan, and I personally take everything I just heard with a grain of salt. Just because the Japanese team captain didn't say "We are the best in the world", doesn't mean that's not what she, her team, and many Japanese people are thinking. Her saying that is just common sportsmanship, that's universal all over the world.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm glad that 'doing your best' still exists. Here in Europe the main goal of pro football is to land the biggest transfer..... so sad!

  • Japanese repeat the ganbaru all the time so its fairly natural they also respond similarly. I haven't actually thought about why they use these phrases in a wider context. In something like a sports interview its just good sportsmanship though, I'd be inclined to believe that westerners do the same thing and resort to the same sort of mannerisms.

  • That's excellent sportsmanship, not just from the Japanese team itself, but the supporters. I live in America, and that is how they think, "we are the best,, blah blah" To me this ruins the meaning of a "sport" I think it's there for entertainment and skill. So if you win, excellent job, and if you don't it's ok, you tried your best. :)

  • In Portugal people will be lazy, arrive late and say, I don't want to do my best, but I want to be number 1! Ahahah. This is a Portuguese joke :)

  • @DuartChannel And then people envy who worked, who did their best and are in fact #1. Ah...what a country lol Cheers mate ;)

  • Congrats Japan,

There is nothing wrong with celebrating if you have won something!

  • The wife and I watched this live in London! What a way to lift the spirits of the Japanese people after the recent avents! Five, Five Japan!

  • Worst part about America is everyone thinks they are the best and we are better then everyone. While the facts say other wise. The same shit America was running from and the reason it was started. Always trying to be the best, it just beats you down.

  • @oxgon The American team did an amazing job, it's the crowd I don't like you know? the people here are sooo negative toward anyone against their team hahahah, very childish.

  • Ta for doing this. I'm going to make a mention of this in my update tomorrow. Sawa Homare is a wonderful captain. Blessings be to the team. That they won it all is wonderful. Good on them. And cheers ! Rock on sisters !

  • I'm beginning to think western civilization might not exist...

  • Viva Japan.

  • Congratulations Japan! I cheered for you and i was going nuts during the game xD

What an exciting match it was!!

    Greetings from germany!

  • Good for you Japan! :D

You're the best because of your humility, thats the attitude of a true winner, someone (in this case a team) who always tries their best whether they win or lose and never gives up the fight. We can all learn from Japan.

  • Way to go Japan! :)

  • its not soccer its football :)

  • @radioclash84 Hes from Australia and its called Soccer. Football to us is AFL.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom That sounds very humble and nice. But i heard the other side of the story several times from people i trust. They do Shooto and Kyukushin Karate and said that if you try to compete in one of the Japanese tournaments as a foreigner you suffer under a huge bias by the Japanese sports community.

One exceptional competitor from the US, Erik Paulson, was able to get a title in Shooto but the Japanese offered him so few money to defend it that he had to refuse.

  • That's how American's used to be at one point in time.

It's a shame, and worse, a plague to have a "in your face" attitude. I hate it. I can't stand "my fellow Americans" rubbing other people's noses in the fact that they lost. Scum of the Earth. Mostly black players too, and the white players that do it are particularly bigger pieces of shit.

Congrats to Japan on the victory; athletic and social alike.

  • Well if japan wants to be modest so be it, but i will brag for them and say they are number 1. Side note @TheJapanChannelDcom please continue to do the best, because i asked around and everyone says you do your best and will continue to do your best lol cheers

  • i dont care much about this. But japan ftw anyway!
