  • DUde! Great Demo! I can really see how tranparent and dinamic this pedal is.

How would you compare it with the Sweet Honey OD?

I Can't decide if I should get the Green Little Wonder or the Sweet Honey OD (the sky blue is too expensive)

I have a OCD and I love its tranparency but I want also a soft clipping OD for a more bluesy sound.

I try the Xotic AC plus but it changed the tone too much and my single coil pickups didn't break up as nicely.

    THanks a lot!

    Great playing!

  • The AC is great but to me sounds better on Humbuckers... now if you have to make a choice between Sweet Honey and Green Wonder...it would just be a matter of taste... let's say the LGW would get you to some kind of landau tones...and the sweet honey will be closer to Robben Ford's sound since it has this zendrive flavour.. these are my impressions with my playing, my ears and my rig, you should give a try to both of them with YOUR amp! i hope i helped a little... let me know,Steev

  • @steev05 Hey Steev! Thanks a lot! I got a chance to try the sweet honey at a Guitar Center store and I loved it! I get what you mean about the zendrive/dumble Robben Ford's sound. I decided to get the SHO cause maybe the LGW would take me more to the Tube Screamer direction and I already have the fulltone OCD for that.

Thanks a lot again! It's sooo much better to watch pedals demos on youtube when people can REALLY play their instrument. Congrats man!

  • Hi man,

thanks for these cool words! to be honest, i never played the sweet honey OD, but from what i've heard, it's more like a zendrive, a lot of dynamics too but a much thinner gain or texture..i mean the LGW is more growly.. i hope i'm clear here..with the LGW, you're definitely in the OCD world but more versatile since you can go up to a fuzz and even more headroom.

  • Ok, this guy has great tone and feel. Maybe i missed something in this video.

I have four JS Guitars. I use Fulltone-Xotic and 2 JS Pedals.. I have an custom board I built myself I also have 2 Tony Bruno Amps 1) Cow Tipper 45 & 2) Underground 30.

I use those amps in my studio and of course, the sound is to die for.

All in all. I use a Koch twin tone 2 and I get all the great tones you could ask for..

Honestly, the boutique amps are not needed when you show these pedals.

  • @MrPanomagic , woow! thanks for these kind words!! glad you like the licks and the demo, easy to play this amazing gear..

    Rock on!!!

  • @steev05 Is this pedal sounds great on humbackers too?

becouse i know about a pedals witch sounds good on single coils but on humbackers with fizz and hursh . i need some good pedal that could be good on both. thanks !

  • @LeonGrinberg It works great on both single coils and Humbuckers! you have even more growl on humbuckers..it depends on what kind of PU's, i use vintage oriented humbuckers like Tom Holmes, Bare Knuckles and Suhr SSV and it reacts pretty well.

I don'd know about higher output pu's but i would definitenly not recomend to use EMG with that kind of pedal.

  • @steev05 Thank you , I'll check it

  • Man, you made my day. Great Demo with so much passion. You got it.

Your licks and sounds are in my heart from now :-)

And yes, rock on dude :-)

  • thank you so so sooomuch brother

theres no chance to test and compare each brand and model of overdrive pedals in my country

  • @creep17684

Great you like the video and if it helped you to make a desicion, it's the best compliment ever!!

let people at Mad Professor know about it ;-)

    where are you from?

    thanks, and kee rocki'n

    Steev

  • @steev05

    i've got one

it was absolutely a right choice

again. thank you steev : D

  • really great player - a rarity for pedal demos!

  • If you want the LGW to sound like a fuzz, use it on your lead or crunch channel with less "body" and more "gain"..

On the sample, the gain is around 3 oclock, volume 9' and body 9'.

The LGW can be a clean fat boost; a light drive or a fuzz pedal.. it just depends on your amp.. in my case the OD100 Classic allows me to get a wide variety of tones out of it!

It won't work on a fender twin amp!!

    hope it helps

  • how does this pedal stacked with a fuzz?

  • Sounds is Great, Too much Talking......
