Just for those of you who think they aren't eels... Hawaiian Garden Eel - gorgasia hawaiiensis - common in sandy areas at depths typically 80' and beyond.
Hawaii alone has roughly 40 or more species of eels.
@friscuba lol when i went to maui the closest thing i saw to an eel wasn't even an eel it was like an arrow fish or somthing but it was a skinny fish with a long head

Man I love these things. I met a lone one at an aquarium and it was following my finger, swaying around the tank. I adopted him and named him 'Wormy'

Not just in Hawaii, dude. They're all over the Carribean, in sandy flats near wrecks. Especially near the Bahamas.

But, I would have to say they need a more diverse environment. Beautiful creatures, nonetheless.
