  • fuck the police

  • this is America.. a police state... where they physically assault you for exercising your "rights" and "freedoms"... this is nothing more than harassment and intimidation... not unlike the brown shirts at the early NSADAP (nazi) party meetings.

  • I thought Bachman was the leader of those retarded tea Party Subsidized Corporate Tools!

  • Confused young soul. Is that Napolean Dynamite? I dont like John McCain either, in fact I despise him. But Sarah Palin is wonderful and so is her whole family, they are some of the only people in the media or government to be trusted.

  • @KingDingaLing090 ya we can definitely trust a woman who doesn't even know that Africa is a continent and not a country to lead the most influential and hated country in the world!

  • @shivom90 I guess that would be true if you trusted every word that random individuals say about what Sarah Palin knows and what she doesnt know..

Here I will make something else true... Umm.... shivim90 thinks Martians are from Venus.

There, not prove that you didnt believe that yesterday. You ignorant stooge. Holy shit. I can't believe how stupid you people really are. It is amazing. You think MARTIANS are from VENUS?

Just slap yourself you stupid bastard.

  • @KingDingaLing090 firstly, i wouldn't consider representatives of the mccain-palin campaign to be random individuals. secondly, martians from venus..?? what the fuck are u talking about? u clearly have the mental capacity of a 6 year old!

  • @shivom90 How many people are "representives of the mccain palin campain"?. Put it on video if you want a legitimate source. Lets play your game: Barry Obama used to hang out with some gay dude in Chicago and he claims he and B.O. used to be butt buddies and smoke crack together. I guess his word is golden huh? His friends and members of his church arent random individuals either.

That's cool, Palin thinks Africa is a country and Obama is a homosexual crack head. Cool. Who should we trust?

  • @KingDingaLing090 how fucking retarded do you gotta be to say Palin is wonderful ?

  • @zip68 How fucking retarded does someone have to be to ask "how retarded to you got to be to say Palin is wonderful?"

  • Humm ??? man gets dragged out by cops for asking the wrong questions ? Sounds alot like the country I left LOL What happened to American freedom of speech ?

  • Land of the free, obviously. NOT! Teabaggers are FUCKING NUTS!

  • this can't be a mcain and palin rally becuase in america

    we have freedom of speech

  • who cares... still on private property, follow the law. like bill says, "don't be a pinhead."

  • I know this guy! We went to high school together... right on man, fight the conservative movement-- People who don't understand that change is essential to our American society.

  • The only type of protest that works is pretty much illegal in America.

  • The Tea Party is infringing on his liberty!

  • @slapme7times well who else u dummie

  • The TEA PARTY should not even be supporting politicians like John McCain and Sarah Palin. They are the same old Neo-Cons, just riding our wave of action.

  • Protesting at a Sarhaha Plain Stupid event would be like protesting in a septic tank. The turds would not hear you and the smell would be noxious. Let the turds gather where they are not visible and leave them be.

  • Protesting at a Sarhaha Plain Stupid event would be like protesting in a septic tank. The turds would not hear you and the smell would be noxious. Let the turds gather where they are not visible and leave them be.

  • @Blockygraphics

I bet that's what the southerners were telling the Yanks before the civil war.

    Good luck.

  • @Blockygraphics

"When the time comes and people like you need a bullet in their head, I'll be the guy stepping forward to do it.

The USA is better off without you."

This is how you end a rant about how angry conservatives are treated unfairly compared to angry liberals.

  • Stop believing in the false left right and start believing in the Constitution. before it is too late. The government wants us to be slaves.

  • More people should be speaking out . Police respond like communists. If every body was smart enough to speak up like this man, there would not be enough police to respond in such way.

  • Hooray for free speech! Don't tread on me... unless my personal beliefs are different than yours - then stomp on my neck!

  • Typical Republican double standard hypocrisy!! They claim to defend freedom of speech...when it's in agreement with their agenda! It's OK for them to yell: "nigga" and "babykiller" the later in would should be considered the most peaceful gathering in the country...THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES! Or "you lie" from a Republican congressman to the President of the United States in a joint session State of the Union Address!! Give me a break! REPUBLICANS ARE THE PARTY OF DOUBLE STANDARDS!!

  • And liberals are usually the most guilty of that which they accuse conservatives of being. Check it out.

  • This is sad, Tea Baggers can spit on a congressman and nothing happens then this guy heckles and gets his ass kicked?

  • It's bad enough that the drive by MSM is trying to paint Tea Party movement as strictly right wing --- which not the case and as racist -- which is not the case. This guy acting out like this only draws more negative attention that the Tea Party does not want or need. Behave or go home.

  • @KarmicOmen Behave or go home? This guy had the guts to speak out at a so called "Freedom" event. Ended up with him getting arrested. The Tea Party is getting negative attention because we are being hijacked by the Neo-Cons just like they hijacked conservative movements in the 60's. Sarah Palin, our leader? Really? We dont need the same ole warmonger/spender to lead a AMERICAN liberty movement.

  • @Asti223

Mmm hmm, yep, that's what I said, "Behave or go home" -- and I don't care who the offender is ... left, right, independent, winger, moonbat. Absolutely, yes, we all have the right to assemble and dissent, but there are laws against disorderly conduct.

  • @KarmicOmen disorderly conduct is the most vague of laws we can break. I just think its hypocritical of these people to kick a guy out after they were the ones getting all aggressive at the healthcare townhall meetings... Remember that?

  • @Asti223

Oh, I know, but be that as it may, it's still an ordinance.

  • @Asti223 If you are going to disrupt things, then you deserve to be kicked out. If a kid just like this disrupted things at an Obama rally, he would be taken down just the same.

  • I KNOW THIS GUY IS A LIBERTARIAN AND NOT A LIBERAL.

In my comments I wasn't referring to this guy in this video when I address liberal fringe violence -- but historic instances, based on a comment by someone else.

Which side he is on doesn't matter -- whether it's the left, the right, or independent. This guy is an obnoxious, trouble-making idiot -- he couldn't behave himself properly and deserved to be ejected from the rally.

  • But your side didn't feel that way during the Town Hall meetings across the US in August 2009. What changed your minds since then? Palin was actively encouraging the teabaggers to disrupt the Town Hall meetings and they marched to her commands. Now she is against that behavior at her events? Pure Hypocrisy!!!

  • Wants crazy? You ought to check out the whack job the FBI just arrested for making death threats against Eric Cantor, his wife and his kids. This guy has hundreds of videos posted -- what a kook. Here is his YouTube channel: user/shiamuslimcantbestop

  • Yes, that guy is a nut. His videos lashed out at everyone though, not just Eric Cantor and his family. He lashed out at Muslims, Jews, Obama, Biden, etc, etc, etc. The guy is in desperate need of psychiatric help...

What about the armed Christian militia group that was just arrested in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio? There are a lot of insane and dangerous people out there right now. A great many seem to have come out of the woodwork since January 20, 2009...

  • Comment removed

  • @NightriderXP1

That right wing militia and groups like them, such as the late Davidians, The Westboro Baptist Church, Aryan Nation, Code Pink, PETA , are all extremist groups who do more harm than good so I denounce them. That this militia is a Christian group is of little consequence to Christians as a whole, as most of the world is Christian ... it's when they take their views and apply them to Christianity that they becomes an oxymoron -- a parody of themselves.

  • Comment removed

  • Palin and Mccain are lame pathetic freaks......

  • Why don't they lock the racist teabaggers up? They're incouraging people to do violence!

  • and in this video...who is committing the violence? the evil teabaggers as you call them? its a joke...you people cant even think straight anymore....america....im not even a libertarian and i know this isnt right.

  • It wasn't as bad as that Palin supporter who yelled out the N word about President Obama. They didn't like that racist witch up, why did they arrest this guy? Favortism possibly because it's Sarah Palin? The hell with that money seeking winch. She didn't say a word when the N word was yelled out. She pretended to not hear it.

  • @EbonyLoveR007

yes of course....its all about who the establishment likes and doesnt like. the establishment doesnt like liberals or libertarians....they like neoconservatives and neoliberals, translation: they like the liberals and conservatives who think starting wars and losing rights are good things....they want totalitarianism...and the trick is, they say they are fighting it, but you have to really not be paying attention to be fooled.

  • fucking virgin libtard

  • yeah thats the way...so how many did you kill in iraq or afganistan? ahh cool man, your tough....gonna make our country into one sorry corrupt basket case.....yeah all wrapped up in red white and blue and carrying a cross....

  • mccain is a porch monkey

  • haha what a dumb ass kick his ass

  • Wow, the Republicans don't play around. I wonder if they took him into a backroom and cut his fingers off?

  • Nah, they didn't.

  • stop fantasizing retard with small dick.

  • During the Bush years people were being arrested for wearing the wrong T-shirts to rallys, having the wrong bumper stickers. They were infiltrating and investigated groups like Vegans, Anti-war people, Quakers etc....

Now people are bring Guns to rallys, openly threatening to kill the president, spitting on congressman. And if anybody says anything, its: "FREE SPEECH FREE SPEECH".

Where were all you champions of free speech during the bush years. Talk about a double standard.

  • Ahh - the head of the GOP (Steele) was just busted pissing away their donors money at the Freaky-Deek club. And this place had lezbos / Fags and everything. Steele was probably laying in the urinal waiting to get a splash. Righteous Republicans, still can't practice what they preach.

  • The Nazi Party won WWII, our government has turned into a Corporate Fascist State.

  • Obvious plant.. The Ron Paul movement must be destroyed.. Freedom must be eliminated.. No power without CONTROL!!

  • If we saw this at an Obama rally, the right wingers would have shown up with Nazi signs, guns and a number of misspelled, historically inaccurate signs. Obama would have let them speak anyways, but McCain Palin say "Hell No!" It just keeps getting better! I guess the Hopey Changey thing is working out.

  • I think all you got to do is take some peace signs in to a Tea Party rally and you probably will get your ass kicked.

  • It's obvious this guy is a plant. Who screams out their political affiliation while being arrested? It's a plant to discredit libertarians and Ron Paul. Don't fall for it.

  • Palin as usual played the ditzy air-headed female who's audience is just there to be entertained and nothing more. Where are some solid conservative solutions??? Not just some conservative pipe-dreams. But then one must take the mentality of the audience into account first and foremost.

  • what happened to free speech, i thought this was AMERICA people??

  • @dohboy200 Kids don't have that right till they growup.

and even then you have the right to free speech outside. not in a event.

then not after being told by a grownup to sit down and shutup.

he sould have been spanked like his parents never did.

  • Still have it here.

You don't get to trespass to exercise free speech, no more than you get to steal a printing press.

He had every right to stand out on the public sidewalk and rant like the loon he is.

  • Ms. Sarah Palin, the "SOAP OPERA POLITICIAN" who is humerous to watch but not to be taken seriously. She's complete with a daughter who love those illegitmate kids. Not much to do in Alaska these days.

  • DO WE LIVE IN CHINA??

  • This poor kid was not allowed freedom of speech! McCain and Palin are encouraging fascism!

  • He turns into a PUSSY really quick, Crying HELP ! ! HELP ! ! . . . That disrespectful HECKLER, Choose your fights LOGICALLY, Don't come to our meetings, go to your own.

  • A real Libertarian would have simply left the place the instant the people who had rented the space trespassed him.

Libertarianism's cornerstone is respecting property rights.

It is unfortunate that this a-hole is claiming to be libertarian.

Once he chose to trespass, the people using that space had every right to use non-deadly force to bouncer his butt out of there.

  • How did u know he was trespassing?

  • The people running the rally removed him.

They either owned the space, either as an actual owner in title, or as a renter or lease holder ( if you rent a hotel space, say, or get permission to use a public library meeting room, you CAN trespass interlopers ).

Once he refused to just immediately leave, he was defiantly trespassing.

In most states, you can use non-deadly force to evict a trespasser.

If he needed to be evicted for trespass, then he was not acting as a libertarian.

  • Yay! The Police State wins again!

  • They sure don't like it when their own tactics are used against them. As far as I can see, three palin supporters attacked this young man. Then he was arrested for being attacked. I am sure we have not heard the last about this incident. Usually, the cops arrest the attackers, but not in Arizona.

  • What was the pretense to this incident anyway?

What made thgem turn ion this young man anyway?

  • Tell u what. If the people that removed him were not building security or police, he ought to sue them for false arrest and assault. You can't put your hands on someone cause they start their lip slappin.

  • ELECT THE SUPREME COUNCIL OF ATHEISTS !!!

OUTLAW ORGANIZED RELIGION and SAVE HUMANITY FROM STUPIDITY

  • a fine example of the America we would have if it were run by teabaggers, palin and her thugs...

  • And would you like examples of 'teabaggers' doing the exact same thing at a left wing meeting and being treated the exact same way?

One side: He should have had the proper decorum on this. Protested outside the event and been respectful of both views. He was disturbing the peace.

The other side: He had freedom of speech and should have been allowed to say whatever he wanted to and yell it at the top of his lungs with no repercussions or interference from the police.

  • @msgambate88

Perhaps you're unaware of who the president is right now, while this is happening.

ps. The heckler was a tea partier that was against McCain.

Things aren't always what the media makes them out to be.

  • this IS the america you have....

  • this guy wasn't disturbing the peace...he was disturbing the genocide. Clearly the right has gone right off the cliff.

If these guys don't have the authority to touch you, they shouldn't touch you.

  • I was there. This young man was 3 rows in front of me. As Palin spoke, this 19 year old with no manners began yelling. Nobody did anything at first. Finally, the man standing next to him, who was old enough to be the young man's grandfather, grabbed him by the shirt and escorted him halfway down the aisle to get his screaming voice away. Then, the young man began yelling again. Then two other men escorted him outside. Try being disruptive at nearly any planned event and see what happens.

  • oh how i love to see young punk brats get man handled by someone that older.

oh the young punk brats talk a good tough talk. but the old people don't put up with it. They should have took him to the batrhroom and let him fall on a bar of soap.

  • @MrSTANDFORAMERICA Not everyone wanted to have anal sex with him. The three asshats that attacked him should be charged with assault. I notice it took three of you old idiots to manhandle him. Next time the heckler need to bring backup.

Just because you don't like what someone is saying does not give you the right to lay hands on him. This young man should have punched that old bastard in the throat as soon as me was attacked.

  • So you admit some old asshat attacked this kid from the start. Only at a Plain Stupid rally can an attacker get away with assaulting another American while the person that was attacked get arrested.

I believe the cops should be investigated and the three idiots should be hunted down and arrested for assault with intent. That should get them about five years in ADOC.

Just because you don't like what someone is saying does not give you the right to lay hands on them.

  • @paulvglendale, IF you were there, did you not hear PALIN TELL HIM "SICK AROUND YOU MIGHT LEARN SOMETHING'? She did say "stop, let me answer that man question". Which "why did you vote for the Bail out!" But like everything else Palin was for it before she was against it!

  • It's okay for Teatard mobs to scream and disrupt Congressional events, but when this kid does it, it's okay for Teatard mobs to beat him up.

    I like your hypocritical standards.

  • @tbetz It's not okay for anyone to disrupt such events. Such disruptors infringe on the free speech of the scheduled speakers. Bouncers, cops, or, as a last resort, the people attending have the right to remove the disruptor.

  • @paulvglendale You are right. But the guys who held him down had no right to do that. It's not their job or rresponsibility to do that.

  • @olivemike81 Those were cops, and he was not following their instructions. Babies get what babies get.

  • @paulvglendale No, the two cops were cops. I'm talking about the guys who originally held him down.

  • Comment removed

  • @paulvglendale I'm not talking about the law. I'm talking about right and wrong. They aren't always the same.

  • Good point Olivemike81. Ideally, the law is the boundary between good and evil but in our fallen world it isn't always, as you said.

  • Comment removed

  • Did you feel the same when the teabaggers were disrupting the Town Hall meetings last year? There seems to be a double standard at play here. Palin encouraged the Teabaggers to act out against the Democrats, but is upset when it happens to her? Seriously???

  • I'm not aware of that event because I wasn't there and don''t always watch the news. If the "teabaggers" disrupted a meeting, then the "teabaggers" should have been bounced. This is not about "us versus them". It's about right and wrong and appropriate behavior. In the case of this event, I was there because it was near my house. The two disruptors rudely interrupted someone during a speech, infringing on that person's freedom of speech, and were appropriately bounced.

  • LOL The teabaggers disrupted almost every Town Hall meeting in the country for over a month in August 2009. You would have had to be living in a cave to have missed the coverage. The teabaggers were not treated like the 2 hecklers in the Palin/McCain rally in this video though. Palin and McCain were encouraging the outbursts in the Town Halls, now they refuse to tolerate them in their own events. It's pure Hypocrisy at its finest...

  • Comment removed

  • @KarmicOmen Actually I am not a liar. In the age of Google and YouTube, it's pretty easy to find the truth. If you lived in a cave in August of 2009 and missed all the disruptions by the teabaggers at all of the Town Hall meetings, that is not my fault. You do have the ability to learn about what you missed though I hope. You really should research before calling anyone a liar. It's pretty easy to find out who is telling the truth in the Internet age...

  • Sorry, I've a few tabs open of different video. That wasn't to you.

  • By your definition, I was living in a cave. If Palin and McCain encouraged outbursts, they were wrong. But if you think Palin or McCain had anything to do with the bouncing of the two offenders, you're wrong. I was there. Neither Palin nor McCain asked anyone to remove them. The audience removed them of their own accord.

  • Right - don't you see a problem with that - these people who are all about FREE SPEECH? The they go and beat on a guy for exercising his FREE SPEECH rights?

You do see the double talking irony - don't you?

  • He interrupted loudly and rudely when someone was speaking in a scheduled time-slot at a planned event, so he was bounced. According to the police, no laws were violated and nobody was arrested. I was standing three rows behind the second heckler. An old man over three times his age escorted him down the aisle. When he resisted the police outside, they did what police do. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to disrupt a peaceful event. Nor does it mean "freedom of liberal speech only."

  • @paulvglendale

I guess you're talking about the 1st heckler because this one is libertarian. There's a good chance the other one was too.

You guys try to blame liberals for anyone who isn't a conservative. This guy says he hates Obama, and that makes sense, because he's a libertarian.

I think that yeah, you shouldn't disrupt speeches but the cops went a bit overboard with the restraint. I guess I can't blame Sarah Palin for what the cops do, but this was a pretty ironic situation.

  • @IAMtheNewWorldOrder Good point. Neither Sarah nor those of us in her audience saw what happened outside. In fact, the reason I signed onto Youtube a couple of days ago was to see what happened to him once he got outside. You couldn't hear him through the mic, but he was three rows in front of me and was loud, rude and very disruptive. I also wanted to see what happened to the first guy but maybe he was nice to the police and walked away alone.

  • @paulvglendale

But yeah, as much as I don't like Sarah Palin, it always frustrates me when people disrupt something and then act like their freedom is being infringed upon when they are removed from the event. You can speak up, but you should expect to be removed, and you should understand why you are. If everyone was allowed to speak whenever they felt like it, we'd all just talk over each other.

If you go to a baseball game and run across the field, you get removed. Enough said.

  • Yes, and members of the Tea Party absolutely agree with that 100% ... behave or get out.

  • you are full of shit. scared of anything not scheduled are we?? pansy ass...

  • Comment removed

  • check my video response

  • You liberals want a laundry list of Leftists' whacked out protest behavior since the 1960s? Do you really want that kind of embarrassing comparison? No? Then don't look for it, because anyone right here, right now, can probably come up with several examples off the tops of their heads of obnoxious and atrocious, childish and out of control instances of moonbat behavior. Violent dissent was created by the Liberal Lunatic Fringe.

  • This was for the one who gloated about how well behaved the left was during Bush years ... which is a laughable assertion at best.

  • No kidding

  • @NightriderXP1 Outstanding, NightriderXP1.

But a word of advice: Never attempt to educate an idiot. Waste of resource.

  • Thanks DarwinsFriend. My intent isn't to educate the delusional. My intent is to make sure that the truth is out there for those who are unsure of the facts. Often times, my messages aren't meant to change the minds of those I'm responding to, it is to help those who are sitting on the fence and reading these discussions and are open to hearing the truth and forming their opinions based on the facts and logic rather than on raw emotion...

  • @NightriderXP1 Understood.

  • I believe violent dissent was created by our founders, you dumbass. The "liberal lunatic left" hadn't been invented yet.

  • So are you all for death threats towards Obama being protected by "Free Speech", and suppression of opposing views when it doesn't fit you?

Liberals love freedom! Conservartives hate freedom. Why don't youi just admit that you RW dickless wonder?

  • @bohemianwriter1

This coming from the side that cite Ted Kaczynski as a madman right winger when he was a registered democrat. Please.

  • dickhead...the guy is a libertarian....a republican...they are coming for you next.

  • @sickoftards

You called me a dickhead? Why? My comments regarding liberal behavior weren't regarding the guy in the video, but were in response to a comment by another person on this thread.

Conservative Libertarian here ... and his political ideology, Libertarian or otherwise, has to do with his behavior, which was a disgraceful display, escapes me, as it isn't what prevented him conducting himself like a gentleman in public. That he is a damned fool ... well, that might be the reason.

  • LET FREEDOM RING-LEGALIZE IT!

    *

  • @treez78 a mental midget? Is that the best you can come up with? Obviously because I pretty much just made you like an uninformed bitchass and after such embarrassment one can only come up with such a lame ass response like that...Someone needs to smack your dumbass with a book, maybe then you won't act like some self righteous bitch with down syndrome...no sir, you fuck off.

  • Why do people try to fight off the police? It's honestly not worth it. If you really think you've been wronged you should bring it up later, but don't try to physically stop them from putting your arms behind your back or something.

  • the problem is that people are go by there party and you and i are no diffrent and guess who i voted for obama and if i don't see republicans getting any better i will not vote for them till they can prove they can be MATURE!

  • you need to tell me what he did that made him go beyond... and who in the right mind would want to listen to these people?

  • lol

  • @lenny380 its... dont taze me BRO, lol

  • the problem is zionofascist shitbags like you

  • I guess the guy just couldn't stand the idea of a McCain

Palin crony corporatist socialists government taking power from the Obama Biden crony corporatist socialist government in 2012.

Better order bigger faster printing presses Bernanke ... Americans are going to need them.

  • McCain and the quitta from wassilla still trying to be revelant?

  • Leave it to the press to ask why evoke your freedom of speech in a venue where it may not be appreciated.

  • marxo-fascist press

  • Sarah Palin and John McCain Taking away peoples free speech rights. Fucking Commies! Thank god they lost. We would all be locked up in FEMA concentration camps by now if they did.

  • obama is doing a far better job at that. mccain is too busy trying to give illegal aliens amnesty in our jobless country.

  • @vonerotateca Really? I didn't see any tea baggers getting dragged off, beaten and arrested from Obama rallies. Can you cite any specific evidence or are you pulling this shit out of your ass?

  • @vonerotateca wow

  • Republicans do not allow freedom of speech!!

  • you call mccain the RINO a republican? he is a RINO(republican in name only).

and last time I checked democrats wanted to get rid of freedom of speech when they axed the open debates.

  • Israel played a role in 9/11..

    watch?v=t8IChBDQrRQ

  • Straight up cold blooded killers killing and killing and killing. Fucking serial killers killing innocent civilians, farmers, women and childern. And the paint it all nice and rosy for the America people. There should be pictures sent by the billions to each American household of the crimes they are committing in the name of the American people. Because it is the tax payers who are paying for the murder.

  • He went there to disrupt while others went there to listen. This asshole simply is violating the rights of others and the fucking media is presenting him as a patriot. He was NOT FORCED to attend! WTF!

  • @MsWanderer1 which rights exactly?

  • @Aussiemoo If liberal assholes cannot respect the freedom of speech of others then they don't deserve to have a right to free speech. People came to listen to the INVITED speakers, not some UNINVITED asshole that came only to protest and disrupt. His freedom to protest is outside the building; NOT inside! I hope you are not one of those assholes that think freedom of speech is only for liberal speakers!

  • I know in this day and age comprehension is in short supply but come on! He even states in the video his views are not liberal and are libertarian...I know they sound similiar but are quite suprisingly different.

  • @putridgnome

True, but unfortunately we're living in an age where people have been dumbed-down to the point where they can't hold more than TWO ideologies in the mind at once.

  • @MsWanderer1

Um...you heard the guy clearly say he was a "libertarian" didn't you? You can't blame EVERY heckler on the evil libruls.

  • @TrollBuster9090 I'm libertarian; we don't heckle our opponents; we want them to speak and make fools of themselves. This guy is a fake; he's a liberal and was there to make a seen.

  • What about all the Tea Party assholes we see at political events

  • @MsWanderer1 so let me get this straight, you think that the constitution protects a person's right to NOT hear someone's opinion? Find me that line in the constitution.

  • @Aussiemoo

The constitution defines the powers given to the government by the people; the current administration believes it's the government that gives you your rights and if you keep being stupid enough to believe them, eventually they will.

Public disturbance is NOT a right; the kid had no right to protest within the lecture hall! Grow up and stop being so asinine!

  • @MsWanderer1 Public disturbance? That's freedom of speech. Giving your political opinion when those around you disagree is the epitome of freedom of speech, that's why the Westboro Baptist Church is allowed to protest, that's why the KKK is allowed to march, and that's why Tea Partiers were allowed to gather around the Capitol building and heckle senators who were trying to give them healthcare. Read the Bill of Rights and stop using it as imaginary evidence for thing that you agree with.

  • So what are we supposed to do? Let hecklers dominate other peoples' events and speeches?

I don't agree with my professor in grad school. I wonder what would happen if I start blurting out my opinion at the top of my lungs during his next lecture. I'm paying for the class. I should be allowed to voice my opinion and take verbal control of his one hour time slot. Right?

  • @paulvglendale No, don't get me wrong, he should be removed by the staff there, since he is violating the rules of the private property, which was booked and paid for. However, he is not violating anyone's rights, and no individuals not employed there have any business laying hands on him.

  • I don't know that Arizona law distinguishes among the rights of police, staff or the audience to remove a disruptor. I didn't see police inside the building--only outside. There were some volunteer staff members near the exit but they didn't look like bouncers and the crowd was too thick for them to have been able to reach the disruptors within a reasonable amount of time. Also, I don't know that McCain paid to use this public high school gym, somehow redefining it as "private property".

even if it wasn't paid for, freedom of speech and yelling to drown out the speech of others is a bit of a gray area. He's supposed to be delivering an opinion, not stifling someone else's.

  • @Aussiemoo You're showing the stupidity of a teenager! Were the T-party hecklers allowed INSIDE to protest? I have the right to bear arms; does that mean I can kill someone? NO; there are state and local laws that will put you in jail just as there are laws that will get you thrown in jail if you exercise your free speech right in the wrong place or at the wrong time. What I find most scary is that you are old enough to vote; we are all fucked if this is the intelligents of your generation.

  • @MsWanderer1

From what you've just said, I am fairly certain that you have never had any formal civic education. The limits to free speech are shouting "fire!" in a crowded theatre, that's a far cry from yelling a dissenting opinion at a rally. His speech was purely political, and did not cause harm to anyone, they may not have liked it, but for you to say that its on par with shooting someone in terms of abuse of constitutional rights is absurd.

    btw: "intelligence"
