  • i cried during this scene. this scene is the reason why this movie is one of my favourites of all time!

  • Like if you are 85000th viewer.

  • One of the most emotional and heartfelt segments I've ever seen.. Beautiful Valerie .. and the music is just simply, mesmerizing ..

  • "For three years I had roses and apologized to no one"

  • This and Evey reborn are my favorites. It's like a rollercoaster, you feel light, warmth, then darkness and coldness, then light and warm again. Then Evey Reborn makes you feel like you will never lose the feeling, you've won and the reward will be Divine. This soundtrack and movie is so underrated, although with the way things are going now, people will turn to it.

  • I have a HUGE crush on V :3

  • She may not be real, but Valerie is one of my favourite people in the world.

  • This song just has such a strange impact, when the piano segment starts I could just see my funeral in like a futuristic world, a vivid picture of what it could look like, it kinda scares me, but to know that I will have just one inch makes it seem less sad, one inch that is mine.

  • ''An inch, it is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing worth having.''

  • @Honorfull "We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us." :')

  • I'm lovin it !

  • @OptimalRidge Yea well I suppose you would, wouldn't ya LOL

  • "But for three years I had roses..."

  • love it from 4:06

  • One year ago I wrote that....... and one day after, I found V! I love you with all I am!

  • The Perfect movie about a different "1984".-

  • This song is simply fantastic....

  • V for Vendetta was written to reflect the UK of Thatchers Britain through the 1980's I supposed you'd got to be there to understand !, but for all the crap we have today there really isn't any need for revolution. We have come a long way since !.

  • this music makes me want to go seek out knowledge and truth and start a revolution.

  • OMG MUSIC IS TOO EMOTIONAL! *dies* lol

  • @XxqazplmxX qaz?....are you ..related to me!? *music plays*

  • To me the most moving and important sentence of the movie was " people should not be afraid of there government, the government should be afraid of there people" that is something to keep and should be followed like some mutual law amongst countries

  • "But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. Valerie." - Dear lord that was such a picturesque and moving quote of sentences I have ever heard, I literally cried, it just reminds me that there are people out there that only want tranquility and love from this world.

  • We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us. I hope that whoever you are, you escape this place. I hope that the world turns and that things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you. I love you. With all my heart, I love you. -Valerie

  • @TheSoulOfGenius That quote is, above all things, based in truth for all people. Never let them take away your integrity and sell it out for some cheap lie. And that love is most important besides integrity.

  • It makes me sad that the top rated comment on this video is talking about how Twilight doesn't belong here.

How is that any different from Valarie being told she doesn't belong in her father's house?

Don't spread hate, or an idea that things ought be separated from others.

    Peace.

  • @Emmercedes wtf? its completely different, don't twist words to suit your own means. the top commentor meant that Twilight and V for Vendetta cannot be compared, as one is clearly more profound than the other. valerie was thrown out of her home due to prejudice; twilight is denounced as due to a clear contrast between it and V for Vendetta. awful analogy.

  • @WaxedLegs I enjoyed your reply.

"No Twilight paraphernalia should even be on the comment page concerning this movie. This movie si far more inspirational than dumb Twilight and vampires." Jessegurl88

I found her segregation disappointing, and I find your misinterpretation of the meaning of her words also saddening. She is segregating one thing from another merely based on the idea one is lesser than the other.

(sarcasm) I love how you support her segregation, as Valarie was so horrifically

  • @WaxedLegs specifically targeted to be segregated and put into prison due to the prejudices you mention. It is fantastic.

  • @Emmercedes that is irrelevant. you're terrible at this debating thing, aren't you?

look, what matters is that Valerie was segregated, but her segregation is completely different from the point that the top commentor was trying to make. she/he was refusing to compare twilight with V for Vendetta, no one was separating anything. the whole point was that the two works are on two different levels.

  • @WaxedLegs "No Twilight paraphernalia should even be on the comment page concerning this movie." Yes... because THAT isn't segregation, rather than comparison between the two (epic sarcasm). Also, I love your willingness to insult me "terrible at this debating thing" when my original comment just wanted equality, no segregation. I guess the moment you're wanting to attack me with your insults because I wanted no segregation kind of suggests you support it (segregation)? It is beautiful.

  • @Emmercedes you're taking it out of context. the person is saying there shouldn't be any mention of twilight on the page because it has nothing to do with V for vendetta. this type of segregation is alright, I mean it makes sense. the definition of segregation is "to separate" not "to separate as due to prejudice". you're the one adding negative connotations.

to your last statement: that's a logical fallacy. I made an observation; you're jumping to conclusions by again seeing what isn't there.

  • @WaxedLegs You first paragraph helped my understanding, and you're right, I was adding that negative meaning to it. The main reason I put my original comment is because I was tired of people say what I can/cannot say, where/why/how I may say it. And to me, one of the main reasons Valarie was targeted for her "abduction" was because of notions of what she should be, etc., etc., which leads up to what you say and where you say it. At least, I think so.

  • @WaxedLegs I'm admittedly fairly unabsorbant (I know that isn't a word, but it *should* be, I think), so I will say that my last paragraph's sentence could easily be wrong.

  • @Emmercedes It's alright. As you've said, spread peace, not hatred.

  • This film is amazing. Ever since I first saw it, it has stayed with me. The acting from Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman is nothing short of breathtaking, and the message of the film is one I know I'll keep with me forever; about not taking things at face value. Some times you have to look deeper. And sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in.

"People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people."

  • @steelplumeria very well said. Hugo Weaving did an absolute magnificent job. and so did Natalie.

  • It still blows me away. Just.. amazing. How Hugo Weaving draws you in when you can't even see his facial gestures.. amazing. I don't think there is any other movie that gets you to see so far past "skin deep". And how vulnerable Portman is in the beginning, and then ends up as tough as nails... a transformation until you honestly don't think its the same person.

  • I don't know why I love this music, why I love this movie, but I do. I really love it. It makes me happy, and it makes me cry. I'm just very romantic, and I think this movie and music from this movie are my favourite.

  • Molto bello!

    THX

  • 4:07 - LOVE.

  • this scene always makes me cry its like it awakens my innerself and makes me fall in love with this movie and valerie

  • I don't know who put that Twilight comment but PLEASE!!! How could you compare THAT with this piece of art?? This magnficent movie and comic and novel!!!! It made SUCH an impact. This movie... it represents our past, and in some ways our present. Everything the politicians hide, the truth is always undercover, wars, poverty, suffering. The world has being corrupted by people, that hold all the power. This movie opens eyes, opened my eyes, and I think it can change things. It has changed things.

  • 2:05 onwards is brilliant. such a beautiful score in my opinion. It encourages you to believe.

  • 4:08 and beyond makes me think of the theme from American Beauty. Stunning.

  • @buzzkatebuzz its a very moving piece this music.

  • Though i love Alan Moore i must say that this is the first time i liked a movie more than the book

  • @Pyladis1 i agree.

  • Adam Sutler disliked this video.

  • The beginning is bit shit, but the the epicness starts at 1:55 :)

  • Long live the British

  • @Brecconable 4500 years old, studing Astronomy long before the Egyptians. Independent since 500 ad, yet still no Indepence Day.

We ran 54% of the planet, more than the Greek, Roman and Spanish Empires all combined.

Not bad for a small Country

  • @godhatesallfatpeople We are an island nation and the sea is our home

  • @godhatesallfatpeople when push came to shove England showed its real colours by letting down Greece, Poland and Australia. the Japanese and Germans showed you even the greatest empires eventually fall. great movie though.

  • @Kokoda144 We went to war over Poland, let them down? When was Greece, Germany or Japan part of our Empire? HM Elizabeth Windsor II is still the Official Head of Australia, Canada and New Zealand, so how has our Empire fallen?

Aren't Countries supposed to grow up and be self sufficient? England, Canada, Oceania all have pacts, if one is attacked, the others will retaliate, so the Empire isn't gone, just matured.

Go Japan, leading the world, in Nuclear incompetance

  • @godhatesallfatpeople the only reason HM Elizabeth Windsor II is still the Official Head of Australia, is because the US helped us fight off the Japs all England did was surrender in Singapore. England also couldn't hold up their end of the military treaty with Poland and Greece since they where invaded. England has a loud bark but a tiny bite.

japans nuclear in incompetence has nothing to do with this. im sure if any country using nuclear took at 8.9 quake and a tsunami they would have failures

  • @godhatesallfatpeople It's behind us now though, history is history. Those that obsess over it are fools and those that choose to forget it are arrogant. The best thing we can hope for is to live through the depression and build our roots once more. For these shores are our own, and we shall keep them with every last effort we have.

  • this breaks my heart every time

  • twilight is absolute horse shit worst series of books and films ever created it has absolutley nothing on this masterpiece this is all about revolution, ideas and opression twilight is about whats better necrophilia or bestiality FUCK TWILIGHT AND ITS FANS

  • @MrWiLDAPEMAN Completly agree. I know, i cant believe that people compare that shit with this

  • I love the bittersweet music in the middle.... <3

  • anyone know where i can get the tabs for the piano ? :)

  • @bamboodoo we got owned.. i've been listening to this song long enough to only figure out like 3 notes and it takes me 30 seconds to learn another song.. so i mean.. in other words.. dario is a genius? :D

  • @TokyoXtremeDrifter lol, yah he is :P. Thanks anyways, I'll let you know if I find them GL! :D

  • WHY! why! why!!!! Why somebody must mention Twilight also in a video like this???

    -.-

excuse me for my bad english, I'm italian.

  • @EverTartan dont excuse yourself for your "bad" english, its good enough! its like english is the only worthy language and we all have to talk it perfectly, sure its useful but theres no need to apologise to other people really

  • Dario Marianelli is a genius. The man helped me become the musician i am today.. ill do anything in my power to be like him.

  • where can i download this?

  • Film "Zmierzch" poprostu nie dorasta temu filmowi do pięt .

  • Turn your Facebook picture to V for Vendetta on the 5th of November 2010 campaign.

Find the Facebook group, join up and send on the link....

  • @moooksta If I may suggest:

instead of just that, encourage the people to take it upon theirselves on the 5th and on every day there after to live in the spirit of V. not in his spirit of Vendetta so much, as his spirit to encourage the people to make a stand for themselves and what they believe, and to stand together against tyranny against any and all people, be they alike or different. But thats just my suggestion.

  • @MrBlank5

Oh I agree completely but as actor Alan Rickman said "There's a worrying thing going on in this country, a real apathy."

Think of V day (5th Nov. 2010) the start. Next year we spread it further, more people take up the mantle.

I wouldn't limit this to just Facebook, I think the whole web should turn V for a day. Twitter accounts, blogs, forums, any location where a picture can be changed.

Emerson said "Great forests grow from one acorn". Revolutions are started with 1 thought

  • Does anyone know if there is any sheet music availible for the piano part?

  • @DemuProductions I'm looking for the sheet music of the piano part in this song too, do you have any idea? Or are you going to learn it by ear?

  • @Bartjuh131313 Yeah, I've had trouble finding any sheetmusic; I think I might just try learning it by ear tbh - I've tried note recogninsing software but the results are no where near accurate enough

  • @DemuProductions Yea you're right. I couldn't find any sheetmusic myself, but though, lets just ask, you never know =P

I'm sort of learning it by ear but its very difficult and doesn't sound very well. But i'll keep trying or make my own song which will be based on the beautiful pianopart in this movie. :)

  • @Bartjuh131313 first listern to Evey reborn

  • 7:30 onwards is incredible. 8:10 pulls right at the soul.

Truly conveys the peaceful innocence lost. replaced by a dark, burning hatred that wants it back.

  • I think this beats the zutons.

  • i love u' V

  • I love the fact V For Vendetta touched on the basics of human dignity and rights. Most people who are "fringe" or "outcasts" are humans, too, with the same basic needs and desires as anyone else. They too need love, caring, and a sense of security and belonging. As humans, we should be looking to take care of and love each other. Not be hell bent on destroying one another over petty differences. I love and miss you, V!

  • @VEveyHammond You know, fuck the current highest rated comments, this one should be the highest. Thumbs up.

  • @VEveyHammond It's the strangest thing, but I can see how easy it would be to be hell-bent on destroying people over petty differences. Unity is a precious commodity, one which modern day progressivists have not overlooked. They are calling for unity through homogenization rather than unity through conformity. There is, after all, great strength in unity, as WWII exemplified so wonderfully. Don't think that people asking for love and acceptance are any less devious than others.

  • @Gooshkinheimer to think that political parties and social factions even exist for reasons other than to be an effective distraction to what is REALLY happening in the world is self-delusive. The world needs to give and receive more love than it does currently, especially the love that Valerie held for V and subsequently all humanity. She held on to all she had in the end, her integrity and her hope for the world. She showed that to V and in turn, Evey. Conformity and homogenization is wrong.

  • @VEveyHammond Good for you.

  • V was in cell V, that's why he's V

Noticed how Eve was in cell IV?

  • the ideea must never die

  • What an amazing movie. It leaves you breathless and makes you think and can really touch your heart. Who would have guessed all it took was some guy wearing a Guy Fawkes mask with extensive knowledge of the government's dirty past and how to create interesting explosives that blow up in the shape of a 'V'? ;) Viva la revolution!!

  • now titanic is bad but at his age was very good if u want another good example gladiator

  • totaly agreing with jessegurl88 , but i've got to put the question ... how many of you , those who liked the move , liked it for his ideea , for the truth that it's been created to transmite , how many do you see the truth ... no offence but i belive that you only chached some minor ideeas and resounded to music and drama , which are marvelously done , and foregot to search the contents , the core,

ps it's ridicoulos to compare it with twillight it's like comparing the 'Titanic'' with a cartoon

  • @emonel96 ok with the coments.. but titanic sucks.. i totally hate that movie along with james cameron who thinks hes somekind of god or something that hes movies has more boxoffice succes than any other... that will never make a movie better than another... (if thats the case,, then twiligh would be better than V cause it grossed much much more money..) its not that v isnt good,-->

  • @agusprox its just that i hate when they use movies like Titanic to make an example of an "incredible good" movie when it clearly ISNT!...

i totally hate avatar,.. such a waste of time and money... only good on 3D cinemas.. it just wont work on dvd cause its a movie that will never give you anything more if you watch it more than once!.. i read that somebody called that "ART"... thats because they just dont know Kaufman, Lynch, Gilliam, Kelly... which by far are better directors and artists..

  • @emonel96 it totally agree with you. The idea of this movie and the truth behind it is marvelous and truely inspirational

  • se que jarive plus a regardé an face et con imagine la suite ou tourne la pensé ou rage fait son chemin dun instance a lautre comme si le cercle étai le dominante comme l effec de tour an constant mouvement 5

  • @check445446 Indeed...very well said. I think i could watch this movie over and over again just because of all the emotions this movie make you capable of feeling. In my opinion, this is one of the best movies out there :)

  • Remember remember the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot,

I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot...

  • It is most certainly infinitely better that Twilight; it combines action, a mysterious plot, fantasy, a dash of subtle romance, tragedy, violence, inspirational scripting and most of all, truth. Truth at how the higher ranking individuals can take fear and manipulate entire nations with it. All of which Twilight lacks... in addition, Twilight has gay sparkling men where as this work of art has one non-sparkly, non-gay man. XD

  • A sparkly gay pouting ginger 100 year old virgin "vampire" . But seriously the twilight movies have no substance at all. They all focus on stupid, vain and petty things and have stupid unlovable or relatable characters. The characters all just act like brats. When Edward left bella and she was depressed for the rest of the movie i did not care at all. When Evey leaves V and he has a cry, i sob without fail.

  • @Medusa0999 Exactly. XD

  • FInnaly by two minutes it gets to that suspenseful music that entranced at so many points in the movie. HUZAAA!

  • This a track with three parts and each part is epic. That's what makes this track so memorable.

  • best movie ever, i realy like peoples comments on here 2 :) no nasty remarks or debates for a change :)

  • A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The first time we kissed I knew, I never wanted to kiss any other lips but hers again !

  • No offence, but this movie is a hundred times better than Twilight. No Twilight paraphernalia should even be on the comment page concerning this movie. This movie is far more inspirational than dumb Twilight and vampires. No she is not Bella and this movie is nothing like Twilight.

  • @jessegurl88 THis movie is not 100 times...but infinitely beter than the Twilight movies...now let us never speak of that filthy series again. ^^

  • @screwthenet haha agreed :)

  • @jessegurl88 Well said.

  • @jessegurl88 Thank you. This movie gives the public the opportunity to explore the ways in which they are being lied to by their governments. Food for thought if you please. I am currently on the path of discovering some shocking things about my own guilty government and I will arrive at the Truth in the end. This movie is a good teacher. Twilight belongs in the fantasy catagory, nullifying and pacifying the masses, not as an actual teaching tool.

  • @jessegurl88 Not trying to be rude but I just had a question but why are you comparing moive over goverment that looks at itself as a monarchy to a moive that has vampires and has to relation to this moive... you should have campared it with harry potter

  • @jessegurl88 I hate Twilight

  • @jessegurl88 Why are you even mentioning that movie here?

  • @jessegurl88 fuck Twilight forever

  • @jessegurl88 I agree

  • @sara88marina88

Okay, not that I'm trying to defend Twilight because everyone's right, it's NO comparison to V4V. However, if sara88marina88 comment of "bellaaaaaaaaaa!" is the one everyone hates, I think this is a mis-understanding. Especially since the comment before was "A Masterpiece!!". Has anyone ever thought that maybe they tried to say Bella as in "BEAUTIFUL". Bella is Italian for beautiful.

  • A Masterpiece!!!

  • I hope that the worlds turns, and that things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you.

    -Valerie.

  • @BloodyScreams even when I'm reading this it moves me. and when I was watching the part when Valerie 'tells' her story I cried (and I must add that it didn't happened to me earlier).

  • @BloodyScreams that scene makes me get teary eyed EVERYTIME, and it's always when she says i love you. such an amazing movie <3

  • @librawitch7 Yep. But "teary" is an understatement for me.

  • @NymphadoraLives hahaha. seriously; i was being silly and trying to make it sound like i don't start crying amazingly hard everytime i see it hahhaha :)

  • this is on of the best movies of all time, i love it.

  • my favorite piece of all time

  • 4:08....My friends close your eyes and let this piece of beautiful piano fill your heart with peace and love

  • lovely comment..

    :-)

  • you found the right words my dear !

  • Lovely

  • When you roam through streets in solitude having this tune in your ears, keeping your dreams and goals inside hidden, you feel like:

I wont give up no matter what!

And day by day this music helped you staying strong against odds!

  • one of the greatest masterpieces which was ever made ! movie was really great and I think it's one of those movies which everybody should know, because it bases on real life values, not fiction !

  • This is undoubtedly one of my favorites in the movie.
