Vancouver has the least snow followed by Hamilton and Toronto. The mountains and resorts outside Vancouver should have had more snow, but not Vancouver itself. At this point in time the only city significantly trending down in snow this year is Toronto. and that may change after this weekend.

The facts are that man made global warming exists, the quantification of it is uncertain as is what if anything we should do about it. To ignore it is the real idiocy. The impacts of it may be enormous, but there is a great deal of scientific uncertainty. As to what to do about it, there's many things that are helpful that we can start doing. For those actions that will have harmful impacts, we can hold off until the science improves. It is the science not the right or left that matters.

The more weather records that are broken, the clearer it should be that our climate is changing. Yes, record breaking weather, in either direction, does not refute but rather supports the theory of climate change. The continued burning of coal, oil, and natural gas is increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This increases the average global temperature, by just a few degrees, causing changes in climate patterns established over thousands of years.

Climater change science said dust bowl in the southwest arrived and is permanent. They of course lie yike Obama. We have records of the drought claims. Floods in LA and blizzards going east are NOT dust bowl that was permanent.
That's funny. I lived in Lubbock, Tx (southwest portion of the state) for 4 years, and I can testify that the region is sitting at the bottom of a dust bowl. Every so often, we'd experience what the locals call "brown outs" when large amounts of dust cover the area and block out the sun.

Sounds like a reasonable contributory cause, if cause it is. Excluding the improbable is good. You can come up with a lot of reasonable factors that way. Would like more in the way of direct sources. Check NASA?
Attribution by exclusion is not definitive. To put it simply, "we don't know what caused the warming, therefore it's co2.." Exclusion is a useful method when used responsibly, but when they admit knowing little about the ocean's role, the cloud's, and solar variance they ought not to assume too much- It's not a scientists role to assume- you know that. I'm not saying ther's no evidence for co2, I am simply saying that perhaps they should be more careful when determining complex causality.

Vancouver has the least snow followed by Hamilton and Toronto. The mountains and resorts outside Vancouver should have had more snow, but not Vancouver itself. At this point in time the only city significantly trending down in snow this year is Toronto. and that may change after this weekend.

There is one GIGANTIC flaw in these manufactured global warming theories: a single basis of projected findings. Show me where I can find a model that can predict the climate of our earth 10 years from now, or even five years. Oh wait, you can't, because such a thing does not exist.
There are so many variables that correlate with something as broad as global climate that we cannot even remotely accurately predict it.

At the moment this is not the case. The CRU emails reveal a history of secrecy, deletion of data and emails, obstruction of legitimate FOI requests and corruption of the peer review process. Regrettably the science has become politicised and biased.

Also, I agree that's it's become too politicized, but this has been a concern for quite some time. Carl Sagan, on his 30-some year old Cosmos program, mentions climate change a long with dozens of other concerns and discoveries in science. He's a respectable scientist and educator, and I highly value his advise and all he's offered to teach us. He's not a self serving man and learning about the universe is his deepest passion... Indeed CO2 levels were higher in the past when the earth was much warmer and more verdant. The recent increases in CO2 have been partly responsible for record forest growth rates and greening of the Sahara.

To believe this, one must believe that all of the various science departments at all of the Universities all over the fucking world that accept the huge body of evidence are either in on the conspiracy or are too stupid to realize that it is a hoax. Governments want to tax and control. Universities want research grants from government. Climate science funding has increased 20 fold since 1991. Why would anyone rock that boat? Anyone who does to gets branded a 'denier' and gets forced out of their job. No wonder 99% of climate scientists claim to support catastrophic man-made climate change theory. But I suspect many don't actually believe it in private.

The facts are that man made global warming exists, the quantification of it is uncertain as is what if anything we should do about it. To ignore it is the real idiocy. The impacts of it may be enormous, but there is a great deal of scientific uncertainty. As to what to do about it, there's many things that are helpful that we can start doing. For those actions that will have harmful impacts, we can hold off until the science improves. It is the science not the right or left that matters.

The more weather records that are broken, the clearer it should be that our climate is changing. Yes, record breaking weather, in either direction, does not refute but rather supports the theory of climate change. The continued burning of coal, oil, and natural gas is increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This increases the average global temperature, by just a few degrees, causing changes in climate patterns established over thousands of years.

That's funny. I lived in Lubbock, Tx (southwest portion of the state) for 4 years, and I can testify that the region is sitting at the bottom of a dust bowl. Every so often, we'd experience what the locals call "brown outs" when large amounts of dust cover the area and block out the sun.

First, there is considerable evidence in the scientific community that warming would actually produce more stable weather systems, and fewer, less severe storms. Second, warming is still central to the "climate change" issue- If the argument is still that co2 is causing dangerous climate change, then it's still all about warming, warming is essential to the whole theory. Sounds like a reasonable contributory cause, if cause it is. Excluding the improbable is good. You can come up with a lot of reasonable factors that way. Would like more in the way of direct sources. Check NASA?

Attribution by exclusion is not definitive. To put it simply, "we don't know what caused the warming, therefore it's co2.." Exclusion is a useful method when used responsibly, but when they admit knowing little about the ocean's role, the cloud's, and solar variance they ought not to assume too much- It's not a scientists role to assume- you know that. I'm not saying ther's no evidence for co2, I am simply saying that perhaps they should be more careful when determining complex causality.

Nope. Vancouver is known for it's mild weather. A little unusual on cypress mountain where they had to ship snow to for the snowboarding. But in Whistler, there's enough snow. It rains, it barely snows on the coast (except for last year's snow storm). I should know, i live there.
