  • @thomasbhunter68 Rage for hors d'oeuvres

  • Was at this show.Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath with tha late Ronnie James Dio doing the reunion tour for Heaven and Hell.

  • holy shit he is awesome as hell

  • @thomasbhunter68 this is what happens when you get old dude, I was at this concert and I was thinking the same thing about myself when I seen him on stage

  • Is Geoff goin bald now ?

  • I was at this show. If I remember correctly, they also had some sound problems. Great show regardless. I also seen them at Tampa Theater about a year later. Got free tickets just sitting at the bar in The Hub.

  • @metalfiend2002 Herbie what the fuck dude?

  • i live in tampa and was at this show and it was exellent, been a fan since the 80's

  • Cool, but Tate can't reach those high notes on "mirror", but still cool.

  • 3:42, fuckin epic!

  • And unfortunately at present day he's even worse than how he was two years ago...

  • YEAAA Rock on Tampa :D

    And Rock on Queensryche

  • Geoff sounds great

  • they played a month ago here in my hometown of lockport ny they gave a great performance geoffs vocals were much better nobody nobody is perfect night after night come on these guys still got it !!!!!

  • i agree, geoff sounds as good as he always has, people forget hes probably close to 50 years old

  • I saw these guys on this same tour Sept.22nd at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates/ Chicago. these guys kick ass. Awesome band. They only played for about 45 minutes, cause Alice Coopper was after them. They also kicked ass. And of course Sabbath was headlining. I love Queensryche they are a terrrific band. The music speaks for itself.

  • I was at this show on Sept. 28 -2007 in Reno - that was AMAZING !

  • many years,... but one of the best band, BIG GEOF!.

  • good music its forever

  • a very unique and awesome live version of Eyes of a Stranger, the best song ever made. Queensryche, you'll forever be in my heart. Love you guys! I hope I'll see you some day. BEST BAND EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sebastian from Sweden.

  • geoff sounds good, but not great in this clip. sh*t happens...bad stage mix,bad monitors, illness, etc. i've heard nearly every metal vocalist sound less-than-perfect in live situations. the exceptions being ronnie james dio and ralf scheepers (ex-gamma ray, primal fear). dio and ralf are simply not mortal! the recorded vocals on "the warning" or "rage for order" are testaments to geoff's vocal ability.

  • Damn... they used to be so good.

  • They still are my friend :)

  • Well, I'm sorry, but Geoff isn't.

I'm not just flaming, I love Queensÿche, but he just don't sound good here.

  • I think he lost some of his range as he got older those high notes just arent there

  • II agree. He actually sings the song differently. I am not complaining about his high notes. Just sing the song correctly.

  • i agree, his timing is pretty terrible right here, voice isnt too bad but he missing every beat, its like hes on od'ing on vicodin or oxycotin. i can sing this song better than this performance karaoke

  • haha sure you can. not

  • actually he's doing very well...as some1 who worked with many top rock bands, I can say you won't believe how bad many are on raw recordings- REAL bad. When the trax are mixed then mastered prior to release, its a world of difference.

I walked past a rehearsal room 1 day, thinking what a crap band there was in there -totally sucked, just horrible sound and they couldn't play.

10 mins later out walked Metallica! Glad I hadn't opened my mouth! I was with their manager, to see about a job!

  • Holy shitt, what happened to Geoff Tate?? Seems to be totally outa shape and acts like Liberace...and I was SO in LOVE with that guy back in 1988...

  • He's always moved like that....like eberything else that ages...things begin to get a little bigger and sag. I still listen to Operation Mindcrime atleast once a week since 1988.

  • His is out of shape, 20 years does that to a guy. But he has always been a very animated performer. Stems back to his opera training.

  • LOL! LIBERACE! BWAHAHAHA!

    Still love him though!

  • omg?! What is he trying to do? Is he trying to sing or something? 0:48 1:10 2:23

sorry I find this to be 0/5 god awful.

  • haha, are you kidding? I'm not even a big fan of the band, but who's a 'good' singer in your EARS? Seriously. The guy's doing a shit load more than half the people on tv and radio now a days.

  • O_o i'm comparing him to the original track. I love this song but what ever he tried to do that night wasn't working me. The original are always better.

  • I hear ya.

  • damnit Geoff u're drunk!!!

  • Rockenfield really rulezzz...

  • Actually he doesnt sing the highest tone of the chorusline. But hey, nice job anyway!

  • My favorite Queensryche song, love Geoff Tate's voice.

  • I was at this show floor seats on the right side of the sound board and after the 3rd song half the stage sound/PA went down , That's why you cant hear the bass guitars and what your hearing of the drums is coming from the drums being hit that hard to be heard (no PA help). They didn't get a fair chance that night.

  • it's great to see Tate hitting the notes so perfectly still after such a long time...

  • No doubt he has - he's the best fuckin' singer ever.

  • Tate has the most powerful voice ever, no doubt.

  • Is Geoff Tate the only original member of the band now ??

  • Only Chris Degarmo is gone from original lineup.

  • I'm sure Tate would appreciate the recording......"tongue in cheek".

  • Geoff Tate's voice is incredible here, although I don't like the way he sings the song... Queensryche is the best band ever!

  • i agree, i'm not really crazy about how he sings it, but he has one of the best voices ever.

  • They're all original except the bald guy Mike Stone.

The drummer Scott Rockenfield is original as is Bassist Eddie Jackson and Michael Wilton(the guitarist) started the band and is still there.

  • Whackooyzero......... you're mistaken I don't see anyone except for Jeff being of the original member

  • If you don't believe me look in the booklet of The Warning and you'll see it says Scott Rockenfield Eddie Jackson Michael Wilton Chris Degarmo and Geoff Tate. Then go to their official myspace page and official website and it says Scott Rockenfield Eddie Jackson Michael Wilton MIKE STONE and Geoff Tate. Thus only one member is new.

    And it's Geoff not Jeff.

  • Chris Degarmo is the only one that left.

  • ummm. . . . people do change over the years you know. geoff is the only one who hasn't really changed.

  • Is Tate the only one there? I don't recognize any of the other guys except perhaps the left guitarist is one of the originals...surely none of the others are. Someone let me know, thanks.

  • This is awesome!

  • Hey!

    This is my opinion:

    1.Ronnie James DIO -DIO-

    2.Bon Scott -AD/DC-

    3.Rob Halford -Judas Priest-

    4.Klaus Meine -Scorpions-

Because i`m a Zeppelin fan, i don`t wanna say nothing about Robert Plant... :)

    Dave

  • but queensryche is still my favriote band

  • OZZY OSBOURNE(Godfather of MUSIC)

    Rob halford

    geoff tate

    bruce dickenson

  • 1. Geoff Tate

    2. Rob Halford

    3. Michael Kiske

    4. Robert Plant

  • 1.sheena easton

    2.linda rondstat

    3.shakira

    4.spice girls

  • HAHAHAH!

  • dumbass

  • and Jeff Scott soto, Douggie White, Dio, Joe Lynn Turner, John West, Graham Bonnet, Rob Rock....??

  • 1. MIchael Kiske

    2. Ian Gillan

    3. Geoff Tate

    4. Bruce Dickinson

  • perdon or excuseme. 1° Mr.Robert Halford

  • Don't forgett Tony Harnell, the best Heavy Singer!

  • yea tate can't hit them as well as he used to but its a great time seeing them everytime rockin with the ryche!!!!!

  • Your right he cant hit those high notes as much anymore but he still has one of the greatest metal voices around still and always will..

  • What happened to Chris DeGarmo?

  • Bro were ya been, he left in 1998, and now i think hes a pilot now or something like that.

  • Yeah Labrie used to be horrible, but he was brilliant in Score, and don't get me wrong he always was a brilliant vocalist really.

  • god what happened to geoff tate its a shame

  • c'mon he's stil a god

  • yeah he is, oh trust me hes one of the best singers, but compare to how he is now to empire age

  • ALL singers adapt their style with age... even the greatest, Robert Plant, he cant hit the notes like he used to. He's still got it. David Coverdale is about the only vocalist I can think of who can still hit the notes with some ease...

  • you're right. Maybe Bruce Dickinson could be the other one, but, just maybe

  • Bruce has definitely kept most of his chops - he still reaches the sung high Es, albeit not quite as powerfully as in his prime, and his falsetto is in decent shape.

  • didnt the lead singer used to be an opera singer??

  • No. He was trained by a fairly well known Seattle vocals teacher Kyle someone or another. Half the male vocalists in Seattle sounded like him in the 80's due to them all having the same instructor. hahaha. Geoff just did it better than most of them.

  • i wish that the shows for this tour was arranged a bit different. i woyuld have it be heaven and hell opening, alice second, then qr. H&H just toured so it was like, qr should open. it wuld have made the shows a lot better

  • And why do we have to watch Geoff the WHOLE time?

  • Ehm? Because he is the only one there from the REAL QueensRyche

  • Sorry, But Wrong ... Mike Stone Is The ONLY New Member.

  • You don't. I filmed the band during instrumental sections and Geoff during the singing.

  • Geoff does act gay in this vid but the thing that really gets me is that Queensryche is opening up for Alice Cooper and Heaven and Hell? What a shame! Now I'm going to smash something through a wall!

  • I get chills whenever I hear Geoff's voice

  • i am glad i see that his voice has this effect on others too, his voice and this band are like soul candy, and medicine for the mind,

  • great song but why does geoff have to act so gay.

  • Yes your correct actually, Bruce is about a year or 2 older but thats not far off.

  • This was recorded on a small camera and the stage is having sound trouble. I'm guessing thats why Tate showns off. Oh and hes about 48 now. Thats older than Maiden or Metallica and they sound pretty bad these days.

    Geoff isn't doing too bad.

  • Bruce Dickinson is older than Geoff. I don't know about Metallica, but when i saw Maiden somewhat recently they still sounded pretty dam good.

  • May be but, think about it;Queensrÿche´s songs are very difficult to sing.Maiden´s songs so so but,Metallica? there´s not comparation.

  • Agreed. James Hetfield has no range or vocal technique.

  • ya think ? ROFL With Lemmy from Motorhead as spiritual guide how much "vocal technique" were you expecting :P Tallica was pure Metal up yer ..you know.. Motorbreath etc...anyway, On this, The chills are still shooting up my spine and making my scalp tingle, not all music can generate that response these are among the few with that musical power. AWESOME ... I remember seeing them open for RATT...lol. go watch a Live Ratt vid from 07, Tate never lost it

  • I'm sorry, did you just actually mention James Hetfield and vocal technique in the same sentence ? LOL, I'm as big a Tallica fan as there is, but come on, Lemmy from Motorhead is his "spiritual" leader, not really known for "vocal techinque" but hey all the amps do go to 11, that has to account for something MOTORBREATH

  • James makes up for it in rhythm guitar chops and great metal songwriting (well, upto/including the black album anyway) and I realise my comment sounded like I was slagging him a little bit, but Kill 'Em All is one of my favourite albums :) used to spend hours in my bedroom playing along to it!

  • I hate it when youtube makes ya think a post didn't take so ya write it again...O.o anyway, Yeah No Doubt, METALLICA is my all time favorite, well at least up until LOAD yeah, it was a"Load-O-Crap"very very disappointed since that release, unfortunately that disapointment continues. However, the next Megadeth will be worth the wait.I still say it's time for METALLICA and MEGADETH to re-combine forces and create Metal the likes of which the world has never heard and call it ::MEGA-TALLICA::

  • Y'know, if he could still hit all the highs... I kinda prefer his voice in this song now than before. It has a fuller and more expressive sound. Regardless, Tate needs some vocal coaching. Seriously. He is by far my favourite vocalist of all time, but enough is enough

  • geoff tate needing a vocal coach ???

  • Yes. Tate is, by a wide margin, my favorite vocalist of all time. Unfortunately, smoking and years of extremely difficult singing have really started to take their toll on his ridiculously incredible instrument. A bit of vocal coaching could do wonders. One example of this is James LaBrie. After a bit of coaching, look at what he pulled off in 'Score'. I really wanna see Geoff make that kinda comeback.

  • LaBrie has had coaching all his life - in '95 he suffered ruptured vocal cords and has stated in interviews he didn't feel fully recovered till 2005.

  • no problems at the orlando show the whole show rocked.

  • No offence to H&H but Queensrÿche are a better band

  • I felt H&H were blown off the stage by Alice Cooper. He put on an AMAZING show. QR had sound issues that really pulled me out of their performance.

  • i was there!!!!!!!

technical difficulties but not for alice

dio and queensryche had technical problems

    ...alice didnt.

  • alice cooper did at the reno show too.

  • Geoff isn't the same that he was in the eightys, but still rules!! and is more expressive.great vid.

  • I'm amazed by how great Geoff Tate still sounds...awesome stuff!

  • I saw them in Jacksonville at the Florida theador in 2006. I was on my feet the entire consert. It was real entertaining.

  • Say, have you ever sat through a hard-rock/metal concert?

  • Nice to see them not alter the main ingredient of what makes Ryche rock. Still miss DeGarmo though.

  • WOW!!! Great video!! This is one of my favorite ryche songs.. Tate can still hit the high notes!! AMAZING STUFF!!!

  • nice pipes very impressed

  • Wow, in this Video Tate sings even better than on the "Mindcrime at the moore" DVD. Seems like he is getting better and better again...

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Great F_ckin' band!!! Geoff Tate is a MONSTER!!!!!! Thanks for posting this video.

  • I was here :D

  • i was in the 13th row

  • I was in the 9th. Right floor section. I'm trying to fix the audio to get it to sound a little better.

  • nice bootleg. . . enjoyed the show quite a bit. Thanx for the upload.

  • Total command of his voice and the stage. The ultimate professional musician! A fabulous experience to see the RYCHE LIVE. I love Youtube. This was done about 15 hours ago!

  • Amazing! I'm with you, Rnbluesc, youtube is awesome for this! With the tickets prices the way they are and with all of the talents that IS out there,,

I can't wait for Led Zeppelin from London to hit Youtube. I bet Jimmy Page is going to be busy trying to keep that out! =))
