  • Damnit :( I'm stupid. I don't know how to use your engine because... I'm simply a noob. I don't know any language of code for sprite editing and everything else. The only thing I know how to use is the tile editor for just... coloring those tiles. But I only know how to put them in the background of the stages. I don't know how to make them platforms. Damn, I thought this would be easy for me.

  • @joshman196 You're probably just overwhelmed. It's all in the documentation, but there is a lot of it, so you might get lost at first. If you'd like to keep trying, head over at the forum (linked in the video description) and ask about any particular thing that's giving you trouble. I can help you better if we focus on one thing at a time :P

  • Congrats! Very nice work! :)

  • I tried to send you a pm, but friendlock was enabled so I'll post what I was going to say here,

I tried Sonic Megamix, and I sat and played through the entire thing in one session. It's definitely my fav fan hack so far. You did an excellent job with it, I had more fun with this hack than I did with any 3D Sonic game (with the exception of Sonic Colors). Keep up the great work.

  • This is really good and nice its on the Wii!

This is the Test Zone from Sonic Megamix aswell. I know you were the lead programmer on that project too. I will have to give this a try.

    Oh and I subscribed!

  • @TheJeli125 Oh I read the description and saw that this was the same test zone. My bad.

  • Even that little detail where you bounce on an enemy with the bubble shield, and then bounce a bit when you hit the ground is present! I just had a nerdgasm.

  • Man, even after three years or so, I still haven't gotten over how amazing the physics are in this game. This is everything that Sonic 4 should have been.

  • Is this engine on the wii or something? I noticed the wii controls on the menu. I'm disappointed that taxman hasn't been doing much publicly with the retro engine, so I'm happy to see another engine that might do well.

  • @shorty1k e02 is a multiplatform engine that is currently supported on Wii, yeah.

Only found out about this a day ago, holy crap.

  • I like that act number in the beginning xP
