I personally favor the Hospital Ending, since it makes the most sense.

As in this games events never happened. The Hero of this story was just another mental patient in that hospital from Silent Hill 2.

The whole game is a dream. Josh died when alex killed him on the fishing boat over that thing josh's dad gave him. Then alex gets sent to a mental hospital and he is so sad because he is filled with guilt from killing josh. He then dreams the game from there....

But in the drowning ending alex wakes up and his Father drowns him because he hates him

had he collected all the pictures or drawings,he wouldve gotten and extra clip after the credits...after the credits end,it shows alex going into his home and walking upstairs(in first person view)to his and josh's room,where he see's a wet josh sitting on the lower bunkbed holding a camera then takes a picture of alex....the same picture alex found of himself in the attic! pretty cool huh!

I'm sorry to post this comment if you've already read/discovered the lore/story reasons for Amnbion, but here is my theory on both the name and the boss, also taking in mind that I've only read the lore and not played the game.

Amniotic fluid + Bionic = Amnbion, the...superhuman baby? Meh.

It, has a pipe in its throat to coincide with its death. Josh died from drowning. Silent Hill, although it did not accept his death as a sacrifice, still acknowledges it.

Therefore, Josh is the final boss.

this boss was supposed to embody joshua and his remorse (in the pictures you'll find that joshua liked spiders and so the boss took that form) As for everything else, the four founders were actually members of silent hill's cult and they wanted to leave, silent hill agreed, but only if they (the founders) would sacrifice their young every 50 years.

Since joshua was killed and our main character was sent to a mental institute, there was no 4th dead child, and the town was, essentially, condemned

That boss was wicked, funny thing was I had liek 7 health packs and 4 health potions ;) I dont know why but it wasn't so hard fighting it. I used the crow bar to take it down. I always thought the boss was Alex's jealous feelings towards josh before all that crap happened

umm let's see:

1. The Cool Fire Axe (Pulaski) is outside the prison in a truck.

2.The Bluesteel shotgun is located in Alex's dad's hunting room next to the key.

3.The chrome hammer pistol is in the graveyard when you visit a second time.

4.The crowbar is in the Hell Decent.

5.The Police Marksman Rifle is in the final level in one of the rooms.

6. The M14 rifle (not as good as the Police Marksman) is in the Silent Hill graveyard after collecting some gemstones.
