  • I go WILD over mangos and coconuts!

Ive only just found them and have literally compared the weight on your face from this video to your most recent, you look so much better!

You've inspired me to try raw :)

  • ah, you are so awesome, what an inspiration!

  • Good job, JTorres. You have such a cute face and a great attitude--willing to learn new things to better your health.

  • Good stuff here. Thanks for getting together this huge response of simple recipes and tips. It is sooo great to meet you Justin!!! Thank you for being here!! I love the generousity of your honesty and sweetness. You are full of gifts. Thanks!

  • i heard that food processors and dehydraters are good to have for a raw lifestyle. you can probably pick up a cook book or find some recipes online as well. i am not raw but i am vegan and interested in raw foods. I'd like to learn more. Maybe we can point each other in the right direction! If I find any good sites or books i will let you know *subscribe*

  • there are lots of raw food recipe books. Search on Amazon. Also a great website is welikeitraw(dot)com . Congradulations on your weight loss!

  • WOW, good for you Justin! I would suggest that you try the Master Cleanse as well, that will eliminate the toxic buildup in your system and make it easier for you to be 100% RAW. There is a lot of support on therawfoodsite(dot)com. Also, all you really need is a blender and a food processor and you are good to go! You can check out Ani Phyo on here. If you have any more questions, let me know.

  • LOTS OF GREENS

One of the most important things to not feel bad is eating a lot of greens. For me the easy way is in juice so you don´t have to chew to much:

Drop parsley in the blender (a good bunch) water and a banana if you want a sweet taste. my boyfriend liked the parsley alone but I didn´t, it was too strong.

  • First off congratulations on starting the raw food diet, I'm a raw vegan and have been for 4 years. You've probably heard about stuff like sprouting, soaking, dehydrating, etc. which sounds daunting at first but is really easy and beneficial once you get into it. A good book on raw food or even internet guides will help.

Just googling "raw food recipes" on google will provide you with links for hundreds of recipes.

    Good luck!!!

  • If you've got a blender try throwing some water a couple of carrots and some oranges in that's what I've been doing for like a week now.

Or throw a couple bananas in the blender with some water and an orange and a few table spoons of dry raw sesame seeds that one is the bomb!

  • I use Nutiva hemp powder (14.99) for a great morning protein drink or additive to a cracker. Daily organic carrot juice (I juice) and wheat grass (buy frozen wheat grass (Whole Foods or a co-op). I also cheat sometimes with store bought unsweetened Almond milk when I do not have time to milk.

  • Hey thank you soo much for the recipes! I am deff. goin to make some of those flax seed crackers.Becuase im soo use to like eating chips and salsa but damn those are like deep fat fried in grease..But those will be a very healthy alternative. Thanks again,Justin

  • If you are not in a dorm room, you can easily make flax crackers: soak organic flax seeds for 30 minutes (check online for seed/sprouting instructions) then process/blend briefly, mix in your favorite spices (or fruit pieces), spread with a spatula onto parchment paper or a nonstick teflon sheet, then use a dehydrator or your oven 95 degrees to dehydrate (probably 6 or more hours). Great with marinara.

  • You could easily whip up a raw marinara using sun-dried tomatoes (TJoe's has organic dehydrated-soak for 1 hour---put some in your fridge or out on the counter in the morning to soak), fresh basil (or buy the frozen cubes of basil, red pepper, garlic, etc), pinch of a raw salt throw them all in the food processor or blender.

  • Congrats on your accomplishment-you should be very proud of yourself. I am no expert but with you being in college and me being a teacher, I know the demands on time management and food preparation, especially when you first go raw. Try every kind of salad green out there, then use salsas (fresh organic or raw homemade) to get your mexican food fix.
