  • No one compromised, and india burned.

U cant blame either nehru or jinah...but how childish that they couldnt come to a compromise...i am so disappointed...i guess the mob dun give a fuck...and then we pay the price a few years down the line

  • History tells us that we were fools..

  • does anyone even know what this gandhi told to hindus getting raped and butchered in noakhali?? Dont fight ur muslim brothers even when they come to kill u..dnt raise swords... And in bihar, punjab - he asked the muslims to do wotever it takes to defend themselves... Advised the punjabi girls to not fight their molestors but bite their tongues at the time of rapes to avoid the pain a muslim gives...this was his idea of secularism..

  • @kirtankkkk nice joke..hahahahah lolax

  • @kirtankkkk does anyone even know what this Jinnah told to muslims getting raped and butchered in india?? Dont fight ur hindu and sikh brothers even when they come to kill u..dnt raise swords... And in bihar, punjab - he asked the hindus to do wotever it takes to defend themselves... Advised the punjabi girls to not fight their molestors but bite their tongues at the time of rapes to avoid the pain a HINDU gives...this was his idea of secularism..

I can make 20 more paragraphs like this. LIAR!

  • muslims spoils our Hindustan I always thanks British who fucked the muslim emperor and finish the mughal empire in Hindustan which was the darkest era in Hindustan

  • @moksha055 You THANK the British?? REALLY? U THANK THEM? Those who ENSLAVED AND SLAUGHTERED countless Indians, COLONIZED our great Bharat, stole our resources and positioned us all to fight against each other? Really?? Indians like yourself put us all to SHAME. Praising imperialists who slaughtered our forefathers, you think that's smart huh? As an Indian, I can hold MY head high, because *I* know who my true enemies are; The colonizers, the imperialists, and INDIANS LIKE YOURSELF. SHAME ON YOU!

  • indians themselves have so many casts and sub casts, how do they say they beieved in community living and humanity, things were wrong at both sides i blv!

  • @rajaysuren jus get a life in which india u are living ?

indian muslims are living in hell between cruel hinduuz and sikhs when ever even if pakistan wins a match u ppl start tourchring them .....just google it in what conditions they are living in india

u should be shame on ur self what u r doin with minorities specially india

In pak minorities are living way better then india

  • @222riot

    facts:

the previous president of india - muslim

the father of india's nuclear program - muslim

one of the most successful captians of indian cricket team for a very long time - muslim

most leading actors in bollywood - muslim

i can keep giving you examples. i am not saying that all muslims in india are well off. but same can be said about hindus and people of all religions. i am not denying that people have prejudices against muslims either, but thts nt the base case

    u hv a weak case

  • @222riot ur a typical brainwashed pakistani who believes in everythin tat leaders of terrorist organization (JUD - Hafeez Saeed) say in their inciting speeches. Im a muslim and a proud Indian. We muslims in India are much better than you pakistanis can think of. We leave in harmony with our Hindu brothers. Everyone knows what happens to minorities in pakistan i don't have explain abt it to anyone here bcuz everyone knws abt it except you open ur eyes n do some proper research...

  • @yasinameerali HARMONY? WHAT KIND OF HARMONY ARE U TAKING ABOUT? DONT U REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED IN GUJARAT? WAS THAT HARMONY??? WAS IT????

  • Jinnah wanted it separate..

  • Nehru tried!! But Jinah wanted to be a hero (which he eventually was), but at what cost.. Look at Pakistan now and look at India!! Ok, i agree, India may not be perfect, but the Indian Muslims are so much more and so much better off than than the Pakis!! Shame on Jinnah for creating a Nuclear failed state!!!!!

  • @rajaysuren Jinnah was a secular leader,he was not religious....i believe it is not bad to be conservative but extrimist.....there was not extrimism in pakistan before 80,s. soviet invasion in afghanistan and USA involvement in mujahidin war against soviet forces created this mess in pakistan. jihadis were trained and armed to fight russians. when russian left afghanistan, the same jihadis around the world remained there .some started attack in indian held kashmir too.

  • A very dood documentary. However, it is quite biased in some areas where it shows more muslim persecution of hindus. Researching through any reliable source will point out that the hindu persecution of muslims was more prevalent and not even at an equal but higher level. The notion for a separate homeland is a proof to that.

  • It kind'a look like british wanted riots for that they didn't try to stop lawlessness fir 3 days to get full response from hindu side.

  • Look what happens to minorities in india today. They gut burned, massacred and looted under the supervision of police. Their chief minister in gujrat systematically massacred poor Muslims but he still sits in the parliament. They destroyed babari mosque but no consequences to ruling barhamans of india. It's good that the land was partitioned. Yes it weakened all united india but at least we are alive today.

  • In a way partition was good thing to have happened. Imagine a united india, everyday there would have been riots in muslim majority india where hindus would have been the targets of ethnic cleansing as has happened in Kashmir in 1990 when Kashmiri pandits were driven out of the valley by islamic militants.

  • so is it fair to say that - basically, Nehru is responsible for the partition ? because he refused a "federated" India ?

  • I think Muslims adoring the Jinnha had never took part in the Independence movement of India ! Some Muslim hooligans under Jinnha snatched the piece of land ( Pakistan ) with rioting and violence, bringing misery to people and society in pre-independence India and no offense same hooligans are ruling the Pakistan ,and bringing same misery to the people of Pakistan !

Any reply in civilized language is welcome.

  • You are forgetting the situation of the time. Did you not watch part 1 of this documentary? A hindu genteleman confirmed how his family treated muslim people like un-touchables, and how that affected them getting jobs, and education. A muslim man even said he couldn't drink water from a "hindu" tap? THAT WOULDNT ANGER YOU? the muslims felt they were being wronged. So they took action. Lunacy, madness, rape, and murder was the atmosphere of the times my friend.

  • @serpent7700 Why call Muslims a minority if all Indians were supposed to equal citizens. Sounds familiar to you.

  • @pervezak: The term "minority" is based on population census, the same way Blacks, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Arabs, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, etc. are an ethnic/religious/racial minorities in other nations. I'm afraid you're making a big deal about this.

  • Muslims are born haters of any non muslim groups..Hating Hindus and sikhs are a part of that nature..true Nehru and gandhi have given a spear theru our hearts what we wanted we never got..

Now i want communism in India

  • Todays the anniversery of the berlin wall What about east and west punjab you fuckn european ass holes fuckn ruined our culture and now ur making the european union FUckn white inferior kutha REUNIFICATION OF PUNJAB!

  • Part5:Having said that I do believe congress gave India very centralized polity and we are being dragged down due to this centralization even today. But this could have been fought from inside. Like today panchayat are being empowered and eventually we will have decentralization

  • Part3: Jinnah had given a call of "I will take India divided or India destroyed" just a year back then to say Nehru didn't take his words on face value hence he is guilty would be giving too much leg-room to Jinnah and too little to Nehru. Anyone who has read the 14 point Jinnah plan would know it was designed to cipple the functioning of govt. Congress leaders in fact had expereienced the frustration in 1946 govt where Liyqat Ali was finance minister. .

  • Part2:By contrast only muslim majority state J/L is still to have hindu CM. Mind you population percentage on indian side of J/K is not so skewed. It stands at 60% muslim and 40% hindu. Moreover if Jinnah saheb could envisage a religiousdeitenfication in Pakistan he could very well have worked for the same within India. After all 33% muslim in united India could not be wished away by majority whims. Instead Jinnah saheb fell for the ruse set by Churchill and succumbed to partition proposition.

  • Jinnah didn't fall for any ruse, he was smart and ten times the leader Nehru could have ever claimed to be. Also Nehru got into power because he was having an affair with Mountbatten's wife. Frankly India and Pakistan were screwed over by Nehru and Gandhi. Frankly the Indian populous should start opening their eyes and realise that Nehru and Gandhi's policies had kept our nation in poverty for almost 50 years. Its only been since the mid 90's we have grown as a nation.

  • You said "Frankly India and Pakistan were screwed over by Nehru and Gandhi".

Can you please elaborate on this concept with some evidence and examples. I have always been fascinated by these claims. I have heard many indians mention this exact statement but it never made sense to me because I thought both of them advocated unity of india so where's the fault.

  • Part1: Despite all the faultlines of Indian law and order machinery there doesn;t exist a single case where some muslim stundent gets selected in IIT/IIM/UPSC but denied entry. Systtem has been desinged in such a way that examiner doesn't even gets to know the name of student. Same holds in case of polity. Hindu majority states have had muslim CM. We have had muslim president.

  • PART 5:

Finally, I agree with one of the interviewers that Lahore has suffered tremendously as a result of Partition. Of course, I never witnessed his pre-Partition cosmopolitan, liberal, and progressive Lahore. But I have seen the decline of the city from mid-70s onwards due to Islamization. ("Islamization" is a direct consequence of Partition; it is a means to give people a new identity). In fact, the same can be said of Pak in general; Islamization is slowly but surely devouring it.

  • @KashifHKhan Hey kashif can you please send your pictures on my channel.

  • PART 4:

It may sound naive, I think a mechanism should have been instituted to allow those who wanted to stay behind in Punjab to be able to do so. I am an ethnic Punjabi from my father's side as well as a native of Lahore. My father - who witnessed Partition as a college student in Lahore and hails from a village in West Punjab - also told me that Partition was brutally enforced by local mobs. The best a neighbor could do was to help "other" community member escape to a refugee camp.

    -Kashif

  • PART 3:

The suffering of women during the Partition is particularly deplorable. It is heart wrenching to hear tales of "honor killings" where fathers murdered their own daughters to prevent them from being "dishonored". Equally horrific are the instances of mass rapes of women by members of the "other" community. Finally, given a mother's natural love for her children, who would not be moved by decision of some of them to abandon infants during long march to other side of the border?

    -Kashif

  • PART 2:

As Partition occurred on British watch, I believe it was their responsibility to ensure safety of people during expected migration. It is shocking that Mountbatten actually started returning British troops to the UK upon his arrival, did not utilize the Indian Army (under British command) to guarantee law and order, precipitated chaos by moving forward the date of Partition by one year, and invited additional killings by keeping the fate of Lahore a secret till last minute.

    -Kashif

  • PART 1:

What can I say about Partition that has not already been said? It is the seminal event of the history of the Subcontinent as well as one of the defining moments of the 20th century. Still, I would like to make four observations: (a) the utter lack of preparation for mass migration; (b) the horrific treatment meted out to women; (c) the enforcement of Partition in Punjab against people's will; and (d) the decline of Lahore - and Pakistan in general - as a result of Partition.

    -Kashif

  • All of which can be put squarely on the shoulders of two arrogant, sycophantic and ineffectual Kashmiri Brahmins who were more interested in the sealing of their names in history than serving the population. Their names are Mohandas Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.

  • I don't think Gandhi was a Kashmiri Brahmin, wasn't he a bania?

  • you are speaking falsehoods in the guise of pretentious vocabulary
