@DanRaccoon Well I have a 1 year old St Bernard and he is really protective he can get aggresive to strangers but hes really mellow with the family, hes a great companion too.

@DanRaccoon It's not that they are dopey.. they can be but they are actually very mellow and intelligent. Most of the time they aren't very agressive, which is why I really can't stand the movie Cujo. Saint Bernards are a very loving breed and fun to raise. I know, I've raised a couple myself. The only thing is they don't like being left alone, especially in tight places. They just love people. ^_^

@oliviamaxwell In defense of Cujo, he got rabies, so really it says nothing about the nature of the St Bernard. In the book it is much more clear that Cujo had a very gentle and loving nature before being bit. It's just people like to make generalizations.
