  • Thank you very much for this video , brought childhood back for 10 minutes . . .

truly adore this video , thank you for making this and sharing this with the world ;)

    Peace!

  • Where is OUTZONE?

  • wasn't there a video of those games with the actual arcade sounds?

  • 90s were the Golden age of Gaming! So many memories ties to my teen years of this decade!

  • Almost every single one of these arcade games I've played and enjoyed and they're no longer around in arcades. Now there's things like guitar hero arcade, terminator salvation, aaaahh pirates, etc. I wished there were revised versions of the shooters

  • Their was this game were it had two control sticks and it was like a werid third person shooter. their was blood in it and i think it was made in 1997 or up. It was a cool game but i dont know what it was called. One of the sticks had like a red botton on it. It was a gory third person shooter and you do missions. Anyone know what i am talking about? :( It was for the arcade.

  • The song playing is just a random one that my brother made up :D

  • I really hate how most people who grew up in the 80s hate these games. Come on, man, this was the best era of arcade gaming. When games were very realistic and fun. The fighting games by Namco and Capcom, awesome racing games by Namco and Sega, Konami beat-em-ups. Now, it's all that "Guitar Hero: Arcade" and crappy games by Global VR and Raw Thrills.

I mean, seriously! What happened to the arcade industry?!?!?!?

  • @SuperSagat610 Ticket games are even worse, lots of arcades are now just full of ticket games for lame prizes.

  • Man, this vid actually got me a little choked up. LOL

Brings back a ton of memories. Great vid.

  • Imagine a moderinzed arcade version of Cobra Triangle that played like Hydro Thunder. CarnEvil was the best rail shooter ever made. Too mad they're not going to make a version for the Wii. House of the Dead? Sure. So why not CarnEvil? Because it's got subject matter other than zombies and is therefore not mainstream enough to be marketable.

    Oh, and S.T.U.N. Runner rules.

  • golden hex was my favorite back then i could played it for hours

  • Anyone know the name of the song?

  • house of the dead and silent scope where the 2 games I all ways wanted to play but cost to much lol..

  • 1994 was the year when video games changed forever.

  • Man what's that song in the background its cool

  • Micheal Jackson had a game? :0

  • Iam a modern kid but I wanna play this kind of games

  • Where is Tekken Tag Tournament?:(

  • made me remember and cry! the golden age of arcade, that will never be the same

  • While I didn't live in the 90's, I have played alot of those games, House of the Dead 1&2 being my favorite.

  • I feel sorry for the kids today... there was nothing like the golden age of the arcade.

  • Class....thank goodness that you can download some of those games onto the Nintendo Wii from the virtual games in their shop....and they release more retro games every week from arcade, nintendo, sega, neo geo, commodore 64 etc :)

  • Nice compilation, but some of your dates are off... by like 3 years.

  • nice list, but why there is no music in the end of the video?? I think you forgot Supersidekicks too.

  • what about zelda? Tombraider? mario 64? Metal gear solid? damn

  • The best era of video games.. EVER..

  • omg such nostalgia, crusin usa, crusin world, virtual fighter, tekkan, mortal kombat, omg i remember playing these for hours on end

and wave runner too, ha what fond memories i have of playing with that dolphin and to this day i enjoy the hydro thunder arcades :D

but don't even get me started on sega rally

all i can remember about that game is how much i hated it, haha

  • it's funny how the first minute of games were all from 1989.

  • I miss the 90's :(

  • che ricordi!! bravo ragazzo!!! ;) senti ma il titolo della musica di sottofondo me lo sai dire!? e un altra cosa, QUALCUNO SI RICORDA DI UN VIDEO GIOCO DOVE USAVI UN BAMBINO CHE ASSOMIGLIAVA A GOKU CHE LANCIAVA PALLINE TIPO ONDE ENERGETICHE COI PUGNI!? NON SO COME SI CHIAMA!!!

  • Oh how I'd love a Sega Rally cabinet... The first game I could finish (usually with a crowd of adoring fans watching on). Damn, I was awesome in the 90's lol

  • I really miss the old days...this video really gave me the nostalgic moment I craved for a few days =)

  • Ahh... when games were "'em ups". Beat 'em ups, shoot 'em ups, think 'em ups, drive 'em ups, jump 'em ups. These dyas they are just FPS or RTS, no imagination is left just formulaic profit driven media fests. Bring back innovation to games.

  • Wow this is the first game video to almost put me asleep. Games are cool - I blame the horribly boring tune that drones on for the whole thing...

  • Really cool nostalgic video. But i cant put words to how lame it is that the second half doesnt have any music...

  • Brings a tear to my eye. I reconize so many of those.

  • I need help looking for a fighting game in the 90s that put a warrior against a flying skeleton, snakewoman, and a warrior lizard that had a shield. The background was a coliseum and after you win a match you could get new weapons or upgrades

  • It's cool to see how the moves used in the fighting games haven't really changed in all those years

  • cool video brings me back but you forgot the simpsons, xmen, area 51, and jurrassic park

  • Ahhhh Yessss.....this takes me back....nothin like waking up early on a saturday morning waiting for the mall to open up...therefore leading me to the PROMISE LAND!!!

  • Was Super Mario World an arcade game then?

  • The 90's had the best era of arcade games.

  • i remember caveman ninja snce 2001

  • SO many great games. It's cool to watch them all like that becuase you can really see how much they've changed over the years.

  • Finally you add music, but the music isn't so memorable, and doesn't have awesome hits like you added in the 80's arcade.

  • what happened to Xmen:children of the atom. That shit was a game changer

  • The video brings back so many memories, I can't believe how much time has passed.

  • WHERES MY DAMN TIME MACHINE AT!!!!!?

  • its so strange how much has changed since just the 90's.. i wish i thought then how i do now.. maybe i wouldve enjoyed them more.

  • btw. what emulator you use for Time Crisis II?

  • whats the spacey music playing.......I like it

  • they could have added gran turismo one of the greatest hits in the 90s

  • I guess Virtua Striker 2 (first version) came out back in 1996, not 98'. And Sonic & Mario weren't arcade games. Good vid.

  • I remember the first grand theft auto lol :D it wasn't like the GTA games now it was more like a joke

  • I want to thank you because thanks to your vidieo I just found my favorite game, with whom I played at the age of 10 years in arcades, thank you

  • Gauntlet legends. i still play that to this very day. i love that game :)

  • 3:35 Alien 3: The Gun

  • I hate how everything went 3D in the mid 90s

  • Youtube Documentary - They Sold Their Souls For Rock And Roll

  • ja das waren noch zeiten

  • i want to see a new killer instinct :(

  • can you make 20's greatest hits?

  • can you make arcade 00's greatest hits?

  • can someone get these on psn please!

  • 8:40 Time Crisis II

  • 6:30 TC1

  • 4:51 Point Blank

  • *sniff*

    the memories..

  • indeed,

the 90s was truely the golden era.

  • Great video, really well done. It sucks that all of the arcades around me are closing.

  • Dance Dance Revolution was actually released in 98'.

  • Ooooohhh shit, I totally forgot about Crime Fighters. I still remember how "edgy" the arcade cabinet looked, lol.

  • 8:40 TC2

  • killer instinct was so cool! ULTRAAAAAAAA COOOOOMBOOOOOOOO! xD

  • I remember the first time I saw Mortal Combat in an arcade - I was completely blown away. I'd never seen anything so realistic and the gameplay and the moves were all just fantastic. I wish I could come across something now that makes me feel that way again.....

  • what's the name of the song?

  • Where was streets of rage???

  • @ salvathor

streets of rage was not arcade it was megadrive only. at least thats what i thaught anyway

  • @spacecoke

super mario world and sonic the hedgehog weren't arcade games either yet they are in this video.

  • Tekken 3 came out in 1996?

  • San Fransisco Rush 2049 was one of the best racers ever.

  • what is that game at 1:20 min?

  • @TheMissunik It looks like some variation of Qix.

  • just having the names of each game on here unlike some videos on youtube i give you 5 million stars.

  • You left out Lethal Enforcers II from 1994.

I miss arcades and the 90's!

  • 8:39 Its Time Crisis II!

  • besides the lack os sound, it's an awesome video, i don't think there's a game in it that i haven't played!! :)

  • I didnt know super mario world and sonic where coin op arcade games.

  • they was console first but they also made cabinets for em, nintendo used to do it with a lot of games esspecialy the NES games

  • @caelverchiel I remember playing Sonic on a Coin Op. Dont know about mario though...

  • @caelverchiel sonic was on a mega play arcade system, and the mario was on a nintendo super system arcade.

  • @caelverchiel Yes,i saw them in arcades here in Ireland back then

  • @caelverchiel Course they were. Starfox was also a coin op game as well. I saw a team here in Redmond Washington put together the arcade cabinet along with the Super Mario World cabinet.

  • I would like to know why the hell Streets of rage 2 didn't make the list.

  • @fade2black001 Ummmm maybe to tell you that Streets Of Rage 2 wasn't a arcade game dude it was a console port.

  • @snkfiend Ummmm super mario world and sonic the hedgehog weren't arcade games either yet they are in this video. someone might wanna +10 me for that.

  • @emuholic Erm yes they were. They had a coin operated super nintendo cabinet at my local cinema with smbw

  • they aren't true arcade titles

  • No Edward Randy nor Super BurgerTime?

  • Great Games !!

  • no sound on this video? the previous video (the 80's one) has sound!

  • lol michieal jackson moonwalk game

  • the house of the dead

  • very fighter biased, this list

  • thats a good thing!

  • I prefer Rail Shooters best!

  • Wouldt say biased. Those are a lot of the games that dominated the arcades in the 90s.

  • Good times! Some of those games are still around (time crisis). Some are just happy memorys.

  • the glory days!!

  • crime fighters has the best level bosses

  • virtua fighter & daytona!!!!

  • super mario workl arcade edition?

  • yeah Nintendo bundled a bunch of there games and put them in the arcade.

  • .i.

  • Nice video

  • where beatmania aka hip hop mania for 1999

  • Nice!

  • wow, golden axe and final fight were released in the same year? and i thought final fight was a couple more years ahead. golden axe was good and a classic but in compson was outdated

  • Nice, I agree, why wasn't TMNT included?

  • most of the games near the mid-end of the 90's on this list marked the death of arcade games. i wouldnt even list them, generic 3-d, fighter, driver, novelty driver, on the rails shooter, novelty 3-D arcade+high playing price=death of arcades. look who wants to play the 3-D games compared to 2-D games now.

  • No TMNT!?

  • Hey there...maybe someone know this one...

I've been trying to find 2 90s games...the first was a fighting game, really weird, really violent and bloody...I just remember 2 of the characters: a big gorilla look-alike thing...and a bald, skinny evil Doctor.

and the second one, was about some soldiers in this old creepy asylum, with stains of urine in some of the rooms and blood in others...this one was really violent, and the view of the game was from the top.

    Thanks.

  • the second game u describe sounds like "loaded" if i remember correctly it was a PS1 launch- or near launch game. it played like nightmarish version of gauntlet, right?

  • Radiant Silvergun!

i'm playing it right now on the saturn, it's awesome

  • absolutly 5 star!

  • what about contra?

  • Contra is from the 80s

  • Awesome! So many memories ....

  • I was born in 91, so I remember all of these games, ahh childhood, i miss you!

  • nice job

  • tekken 3 1996?tekken 3 1998 ;)

  • Amazing video...this brings me very nice memories of my childwood.

  • wooow perfect list !!!

some of the best games in history are on this list!!saddly arcades are not trendy enough nowadays :-( and traveling to tokio only for arcades is really nerdy looool

  • hi guys how can i play gauntlet legends or dark legacy on mame i have tryed everything and it doesnt work...maybe i need some sort of chd file or something but i couldnt find any on the net...any help will be much apriciated.

  • It was a very good era in video gaming... Many a all nighters and stuff. Lolz... good ol' days

  • tekken 3 wasn't released in 1996

  • True. At least in America. But in the arcade version, it is dated 1996 (maybe it came out earlier in Japan or something)...

  • in any hulk comic the hulk does not look like that he more looks invisable and dark streak marks on him

  • RAIDEN!!! i must find that game now

  • i have gauntlet legends for n64! i love it i was playing it today! just like 20 mins ago!

  • GRAZIE!

Stavo cercando il nome di diversi giochi che non ricordavo, grazie a te ne ho ritrovati un diveri :D

    Bell video 5 stelle meritate.

  • It's sad that those days are over and are never coming back. We can still play the games of course. But those good times are history

  • @StudioGuyMN that's true, i had my best times back in the 90s, my childhood also, and the arcade :) miss those times sometimes, but thank god for emulators

  • i own all this games at my arcade

  • Cruis'n USA and Daytona USA! OMFG!

  • '91 - '98 made me a bit teary-eyed. Great video.

  • nice compilation.......but I dont understand how you were able to play many games which are not well emulated by mame: (gradius iv, virtua striker, and all the 3d games)....did u modify the speed of those videos ?

  • hey friend you have played much games like me is awesone.. greetings see my pcsx2 videos

  • it isn't properly correct, Super Mario World was released for arcade also and not only for home and it's partially emulated on MAME.

  • Hey what was the third song called I would like to know I want that song

  • The third song is "Dignity" from The Ending Theme of F355 Challenge. :)

  • Huh? English? All of those games were in the aracde including Super Mario Bros (remember the play 16 NES and SNES Arcade machines?). Great list, but unless I missed it, where is Aliens VS Predator by Capcom. Awesome game.

  • i can't believe how many quarters i spent on these games.

  • I don't think any arcade list is complete without either Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or The Simpsons. Good vid though.

  • Ops! Sorry I forgot them!! Yes these games are great!

  • I really like how you showed games I haven't seen before. I definitely have a few I'd like to try out.

    Awesome vid man.

  • Also X-Men. Legendary among teamwork bashers, 6 players on one machine!

  • the memory=ies come rushing back lol especially Losing my religion . i used to play that song on the jukebox every damn time my college buddies played pool at our local arcade. so arcade+pool+REM= college time in 97

(yeah my friends had had enough of REM because of me lol)

  • Awesome list!!

  • GREAT VID AND GOOD MUSIC BRAVO

  • yoshimitsu was in tekken too???

  • Of course, man. That's where he comes from originally.

  • Good compilation, anyway I just found some mistakes in the dates and some games that weren't actually arcade games, also The House Of The Dead's footage is from the PC version, the arcade version has a lot more quality.

  • No, The House Of The Dead's footage is from original arcade version, The House of The Dead 2's footage is from the Dreamcast version because is almost identical to the arcade version running on Naomi Hardware (DC based).

  • Well, I said it because I have played both and the graphics to me look identical to the pc version, also I can't remember that red cross on the screen while playing, might be some sort of arcade settings, I dunno. My apologies anyway.

  • awesome

  • Brilliant 90s music to brilliant 90s arcade games. Takes me back.

  • the first ten were from the 80's

  • i rated this video 5 stars when i had the sound turned off; do you think any of these video games wants to be associated with madonna or rem? please it's like an insult. go refine your ears but otherwise great games great vid.
