Teresa passed away in Chiangmai, Thailand, on May 8th, 1995 when she had an attack of asthma and was unable to reach hospital on time because of a traffic jam. That was 15 years ago.

You can find info about her in wikipedia in many languages as she has fans in many parts of the world.

Yeah, it was very sad. I was devastated. She was Taiwan's national treasure and the then president was at her funeral where the Country's flag was drapped over her coffin.

canaanoptical, you sound so contradictory, how can you prefer Leo Sayer's version but at the same time prefer this cover? lol. Just teasing you.

I really dig this cover, it's so cute when she did a little end twist at 2:37 - 2:38. :) Out of all TT's eng covers, I love this one the most, coz the vocal is strong, and she's vivacious. Every Breath You Take at NHK's One and Only Tokyo Live was pretty good too. BTW, TT's Careless Whisper (I listen to Wham! and Anita Mui) is a disappointment. :(

You are right. It sounds contradictory! I think the original version is better but I enjoy this version because I am biased!

Thank you for your comment! I have listened to Careless Whisper by the original singers probably a thousand times and still enjoy listening to it. As for Teresa's, I did download the video clip and converted it into mp3 format on request but I didn't really listen to it. I'm not sure if it's good. I'll check it out and see!

Haha, I did the same, I too downloaded that version and converted it mp3. I sought after versions of Careless Whispers and pretty much settled for the original and Anita Mui's Cantonese cover. I didn't like that Hideki Saijo's cover. And a year later, my friend found more covers including Rupert Wainwright's, none stroke me.

P.S.: To correct what I said before, I meant the Every Breath You Take, not at '85's live, at 1 Billion Applause in '84 instead.

@minhanh15889 singing is different than talking...look at celine dion, she has a strong accent when speaking, but when singing you can not even tell she has an accent.

@TheTongMan Strong? I wouldn't call it strong, but she definitely has a bit of Quebecer accent. That became more noticeable when she performed less in U.S.A and moved back to Montreal for a while (i.e. speaking French all the time).
