To all you ass wholes that had negative comments. You just have no ear for any guitar talent. Probably where in diapers or a drop in your daddies nut then...
this is really cool stoner jams. like we used to do back in mental alto in the '69 '70 with the Jeff the cold hearted anthropologist and Jimi toni Cloney Clapton, both elkletic unkoolaid ass- head test subjects. with rick nelson on drums. (rick's is the only name i haven't changed, believe it or not). my name's here if u want to sue me.
pointless and sloppy , but fun at the time. wish i had the cassette tapes.
Now I got it why my guitar doesn't sound the same as Johnny's or Jimi's ones - I've got a gay guitar, a twisted one.. or even worse, the gaylord Gibson, AARGH!
Johnny Winter recorded "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" with Rick Derringer in 1970. I think the many of the ideas for it probably came from this jam session recorded May 7, 1969. Especially, that part between 0:51 - 1:53.
I hate it when people attempted to make his mark on YouTube by posting a soundtrack with still accompanying picture. This is You Tube dumb ass, not You Speaker!
@verbotenco I hate when some cunt posts BS when there was no video available yet someone still took the time to upload something that's pretty vital. kudos to ozzyserbia!
Really? The white boy musicians loved and respected him! It was the black boys of the black panthers that would try to strong arm him into their causes!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
jimi was treated so bad about playing with these white boys THEY did not want him playing with them and non of them could light a match to HENDRIX Those were mean evil white boys they don't even have a soul would steal everything they get their hands I don't believe they allow jimi to record anything they did not want him playing on stage they want his music &skills to copy God said no no took him home I quess he send him back when the world grows up.
@SuperDollface84 what? It was a white guy that actually got Jimi recording anything while he was living on the streets.. Gawd mentally disabled people just enjoy the music and keep the verbal diarrhea to yourselves..
@AspiringSanta I can comment on what I want thats what the Respond to this video section is for, you dont have to reply, especially if you disagree. Keep your replies to yourself =) It wasn't actually me it was my mom, but like I said keep your comments to yourself.
@SuperDollface84 Yes sorry I forgot being willfully ignorant and stupid are the same things. And I too can indeed comment on what I want in this case the stupid shit you or ''your mom'' said.
@GROGtheBOOGIEMAN Yeahhhhhhh it's a bass! DUH! and he played it with his teeth. and then he lit it on fire. I'm telling you, man. It was quite a night at St. Patrick's Teen Center in Corntown Iowa.
@GROGtheBOOGIEMAN It looks to me like an early 60's P bass. Gotta love a P bass. I play an early 70's P. It's 40 years old and plays and sounds better that when it was new. By the way good post. I love the obscure vintage stuff.
@legunncat hmm, i looked that up and they didn't start making Musicmaster until 1971, and Hendrix was dead by then! And the headstock is wrong...not a mustang bass either. so it remains a mystery....
i read in an interview with winter that on the couple of occasions he and jimi played, that they both kind of hung back a little, each waiting for the other to take more control. it was out of mutual respect for eachother.
Jesus, this jam ain't doing NEITHER of these guitar legends any justice - 40+ yr old technology or not. When you've heard some of their other work, it's amazing that these are the same guys playing on albums such as Woodstock I & II, Electric Ladyland, Johnny Winter Live, etc, etc.
i think this is a jam that could have been alot tighter if doctor darren 'ray ' redden had have been involved, you know he loved to jam he once jammed for 3 and a half months strait in the end they had tranquilise him and pry his fingers what was left of them from his guitar and rush him to hospital ,put him on a drip to stop him dying of malnutrition. six days later when he came round,he grabbed his guitar and picked up where he'd left off.SELF RAISING FLOWERS
@riffmon nobody's playing his own style and it could be fucking anybody. I mean: without the Hendrix tag on it, nobody would wanna listen to that shit that wasn't supposed to be released anywhere... Maybe Jimi was only present in the room, stoned and talking nonsense(or else) with Johnny Winter and Steve Stills...After Jimi's death, all sort of garbage was released that he'd never approve if he were here... Let's remember all these people were able to record an album alone in a studio.
The blackest and whitest guitarists jamming together! Doesnt get any better ahaha! ;)

Too bad they didn't agree on a song. While historical, this sounds disjointed. Not one of the musicians knows where to go.
Thumbs up, anyway.

Is this real...? I think so, listen to how funky low down and unconventional this little jam is ......... especialy the Fender JaZZ bass line..

@imajeepster I found out what it is. There's really not that many choices for basses by Fender in 1969, so I just looked to see what was.
It's a Fender Jazz Bass or JBass.
legunncat 1 day ago
@legunncat a friend of mine, bassist, id'd it as a mustang bass...and it very likely is.
imajeepster 1 day ago
@imajeepster Nah, it's not a Mustang. The shape, pickguard, all wrong. I am certain it's a JBass. Google Image.
