Suffice it to say that Tofa was ill prepared and obviously lacked both the political savvy and economic acumen to lead Nigeria.

Abiola's performance on the night was nothing short of outstanding. He was erudite, articulate and above all well prepared. I was filled with trepidation that his stammer was going to get in the way, but I was awesomely and pleasantly surprised by his fluency. More than anything, he won the election that night. It was a command performance. What a shame the angels of darkness extinguished that flame, the shinning light that was coming into the darkness that was and still is Nigeria. R.I.P MKO
