  • Really cute! I so want to try this but i'm making myself wait till the back to school sales start.

  • Что это?

  • 1:59 notice the beautiful painting in the backround :)

  • this is so cool i want to do one for my room but idk if i wanna spend money for crayons and not use them lol idk

  • @missdaedae210 I'm waiting on the back to school sales in a few months cuz I dont want to spend a lot of money on crayons either. :)

  • is that a black macbook ?

  • this looks really cool, I might try it :)

  • does it work on wood?

  • Ohhh!

  • thats really cool i like that

  • Oh my goodness why didn't l know about this when l was doing my colour theory project in college that would of been awesome :)

  • That is totally cool. I may just try that. If the boyfriend doesn't yell at me for it. xD

    Lulz.

  • @kingdomheartslover2 for melting crayons?

  • does the crayon peel at all? or is there anything required to prevent/protect crayon from peeling?

  • i absolutly love ur hair dryer and the painting thing great job keep it up!

  • I'm going to try my heat gun instead of the hair dryer -

  • I was considering doing this but peeling the paper and melting the crayons completely. Has anyone ever attempted this? I don't want half melt crayons on my canvas but I want color to start at the top.

  • Like and favourited! :]

  • I tried this Recently...... But the crayons were peeling off the paper. did that happen to you too?

  • i want to do this... i bet it smells tho

  • awesome!!

  • I would think that my mom would yell at me for melting the crayons.. is it safe??

  • does it work on normal white paper instead of canvas? i just ran out of canvas :(

  • @onlymeandyounow it does work on white, its mainly done on white but it looks alot better on black

  • How long does it take for crayons to melt?

  • looks much cooler with a black background!

  • Comment removed

  • I would hang that up on my wall it came out awesome!!! Great job!!

  • BLEEDING CRAYONS ! :3

  • can you paint over it? with acrylics?

  • Parabéns !!! Esta incrível o seu desenho.

  • hahaha macaroni and cheese

  • @yellowpotondesk

Hey guy. Next time you have a thought, just let it go. You expectin art videos with americas next top model? Damn.... I wonder how thatd be XD

Anyways, talkin shit over the web is whack and pointless -_-

Its the first time ive seen this... trick? and i thought it was pretty cool, itd probly look more interesting if you painted something in the background first, like some abstract swirls or something but thats just my taste.

  • @yellowpotondesk seriously?

  • @stephania1330 Wow someones a dick

  • what's that cool painting behind the thing you're actually showing us?!

  • @zeldaxlovexxx There is a link in the bottom of the description to a picture of it! :)

  • i did one of these today, and i was curious, did any of your drips of wax pull away from the canvas after it cooled? i thought maybe mine was too upright, that if i had it more at a 45 degree angle it would have not pulled away because of gravity... in any case yours looks lovely.

  • @SixBubbles Nope, mine did not. It could be that your cavnas was too lose, and pulled back from the wax.

  • what size canvas is this?

  • @skate8rate 18x24

  • the idea is really cool...

  • Dude thats friggen cool lol

  • I really love the tree you have in the back at 1:59 but you did a great job overall! :)

  • @MissPoeticChef thank you!

  • Question: What if I don't want the wrappers on there? Do you think I could somehow use the crayons without them? I'm thinking just use regular glue, like an Elmer's glue stick or Mod Podge to glue the crayons sans wrappers. But I'm wondering if a full crayon would be too big and have to much wax. Do you think? Or maybe I should break each crayon in half?

  • @garciajennifer223 You can do it without! I've done it without on a 12x12 canvas and it turned out just fine/not too much wax.

  • That's awesome!! I think I'm going to make one of those for my nieces for their playroom wall!!

  • is the hot glue gun necessary or i can use regular glue?

  • @ShIUToDd12 anything works

  • I wonder what the electric bill was after this...

  • @ice1140804 It's a hairdryer, it's not like a torch,

  • Did you put black acrylic paint before this crayon process, or did you buy the canvas as a black color?

  • @pepsirox123 why don't you just watch the video and stop wasting peoples time? Everything is stated in the video!

  • @pepsirox123 I painted it, black canvases are more expensive :p

  • How long was the melting process?

  • this was on better homes and gardens last night and my dad called it a waste of time :) i think its cool

  • amazing idea :)

  • CLOUD CULT OHMIGOD!!

  • what kind of canvas do you need? just a paper one or a fabric one?

  • OMG it's so pretty! I'm making one today, I hope it turns out as good as yours!

  • I like cats.

  • NICE BUT THAT WILL BE A WASTE OF CRAYONS BUT ANYWAYS LIKE IT I WANT TO TRY IT SOME TIME.

  • I think I'd do broken crayons instead, seems a bit less of a waste to me.

  • you have a good sense of videography - you sped up when you should and you did a great job my dear :)

  • nice

  • looks awesome...i think i like the white canvas version better though...but black looks cool too

  • SO PRETTY!

  • why...is this ... popular D:

  • thats awesome!

  • @TheUlia11 Thank you! :)

  • Woah, yours is really good :D

  • @MsButtercats Hey thanks!

  • do you remove the remainers of the crayons after?

  • @TheCh0c0Cat remainders***

  • @TheCh0c0Cat You can, I left mine on though.

  • HEY I did this! Why didn't you just buy a black canvas? thats what I did

  • @becky2u Black canvases are more expensive, and I already had a white one.

  • how long does it take for it to start melting

  • @palacegurl14 It depends on the type of hairdryer you use, and how far away you hold it. Only a few minutes (as little as 45 seconds, actually), if you aim it on one spot and don't move it. The crayon paper will start getting glossy/waxy first.

  • you dont have to do it in rainbow order!!! i did it today out of order and its even cooler!

  • @Nataroo88 Awesome!

  • Looks soooo fun!((: Now i'm tempted to go buy a canvas and do this myself ((:

  • @LoveLifeLiveHap2012 do itttt

  • how many crayons did you use?

  • @bratbrat506 69...heh

  • @dancerfigskater4 I like what you did there

  • thats so cool!!!!!

  • @123animalcrazy Thanks!

  • It's art. But... where is the skill?

  • @kevinyankee2 No skill is needed! That's what can be fun about doing this, because no matter the age or ability, everyone can participate :)

  • @dancerfigskater4 lol it looks like you just got some skittils and melted them down

  • @kevinyankee2 Art rarely needs skill.

  • Didn't the hot glue melt the crayons at all?

  • @NothingButCain Nope! It doesn't get hot enough...The wax ends up acting like an adhesive too.

  • I LOVE this idea(: Now, I want to try..

  • @xXBartsGirlXx Do it!

  • You look pretty!!

  • @CallMeMssRandom Thankyouthankyouthankyou :)

  • I was wondering though.. Is there anyway to not leave the crayons on and it still looking nice? I love the idea I just would prefer if afterwards there was a way to not have the crayons on it... Any advice?

  • @XoXLuvleeKrisXoX i was thinking that too , maybe place the canvas against another board with the crayons on it so when you melt the crayons the wax drips onto your canvas or bluetack the crayons on

  • @XoXLuvleeKrisXoX @courtneyisswagga that's a great idea! Maybe attach some kind of cardboard with the crayons on top, that you'll be able to remove :)

  • @XoXLuvleeKrisXoX I'm gonna make a small one; paint it black, then get a white canvas and stick the crayons (30 or so) on the end of the white canvas, glue one side of each canvas together so the crayons drip down onto the black canvas :D I have confidence it will work. It's gonna be small because I didn't want to stick crayons on an expensive canvas.

  • @mrmcfoley There is no saying who ACTUALLY started this. I also said that I didn't come up with the idea, and that I saw it online.

  • @dancerfigskater4 I was just giving proof of the first documented one. She's has been published in books, interviewed by Hugo Boss, etc... So if you want to see the original there you go.

  • i've viewed alot of videos on how to do this but i liked your's the best...which got me thinking about different brands so i did a video inspired by u ...so thank you

  • @ecochicksmom Aw YAY!! You are so welcome!

  • wtf wats up with the song

  • @AlexisValles2012HI turn down your speakers if you don't like it :p

  • what is that picture in the background at exactly 2:00 ???? please reply its looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blueflower951 Thanks! It's a painting I did, there's a link in the bottom of the video description of a picture of it :)

  • I recognize that bookstore bag! Go gophers! ;)

  • @Brittz0rzMusic YAY! :D

  • My God. I MUST TRY THIS.

  • does the crayons has to stay on..? what i want to take them off to do somelse with the art

  • @Jeshika11 You can do whatever you want!

  • How long does it take to melt all those crayons??

  • I know the person that named the Macaroni and Cheese crayon :D

  • 1:22

    Macaroni and Cheese!! :D

...I wonder if it tastes like mac and cheese.... well only one way to find out

  • @AHatterAsMad when i was little i acually ate one cause the name

  • ur so pretty

    I like ur work

  • @princessshb :) Thank you!

  • im suprised the blow dryer didnt heat up the glue behind the crayons

  • @peacelovelipgloss101 The wax will melt a whole lot sooner than the hot glue :) the wax starts acting like an adhesive.

  • Sry but dont shake the camera this much.

  • love this, but i noticed some parts of the art cracks up after a day. do u know why? i just heat it up again and let it dry. hopefully it'll be ok.

  • @TheLMAYLING The wax is fragile. If it gets bumped, it'll most likely crack. Reheating it should fix it!

  • looks like it takes real long:(

  • @rebelefantito12 less than an hour!

  • beautiful! i had the same idea to use black instead of white! and i see your painting of the tree in the background, i love it & i love painting trees :)

  • @alyycat1 Thanks! it's a good idea :)

  • I saw the same work hung at a restaurant in Bahrain, I guess she copied your work, exactly with the glue gun

  • @TheTravelover I didn't come up with the idea, so she most likely didn't copy me :)

  • the black looks cooler then the white and yours turned out awesome.

  • I just wanted to say, you are beautiful :)

  • @hopestar101 Jajajajajajaja!!!!XD!!

  • @hopestar101 Thank you. You made my day!

  • this is awesome!

  • @dancerfigskater thx 4 tellin me ^^ cuz im makin this 4 my teachers bday surprise :D

  • Omg who needs to go to Target and buy photo frames

that are totally expensive when I could totally make my own art

for under 5 bucks :D! This is the most amazing art I've seen!

    (:

  • your good at art (:

  • imo this is hardly art, i must say. it looks cool but unless you've got something beneath, or like a transfiguration-like flow into watercolor or oil pastel, it looks messy.. again this is just my opinion.

  • @swosgs Exactly, your opinion :) Art is what you make it, so to some this art, but to some it might be. I've done one with a painting underneath too, and I believe both can be considered art.

  • wow, i've actually never seen this before... !! my mind is boggling at what i can do .... how long did it take with the hairdryer before they started to melt ??

  • @nomesy81 Only a few minutes

  • Thumbs up for Cloud Cult playing in the background :]

  • holly shit this looks like it takes a loooooong time lol

  • @Punana1992 Haha the whole thing took under an hour.

  • pure art

  • @letiic Thanks!

  • How big was the canvas? and where did you buy it?

  • @bmartinez901 18x24, at Michaels.

  • well, now I have something productive to do tomorrow ill make a video responce, MAYBE idk i'll decide i n the morning

  • Does it matter if the colors get mixed together?

  • @RandomGirl517 However you want it to look, it doesn't matter

  • I wish there was a paper bag option

  • Why discard brown? Brown is warm, brown is earthy, brown is sustaining!

  • @Wallylex And brown is also not in the rainbow :p

  • How many crayons did u use?

  • @domopeople 69..heh

  • @dancerfigskater4 This is so creative I would have done a black canvas too!(:

  • im going walmart.

  • what was the total cost excluding the hair dryer i want to make this for my gf for valentines and would love the average cost

  • @angelamezcua Sorry I only saw this now! Well, I used two packs of 48 crayons for all the colors (or you could just get a bigger pack), which probably was around $6 total, the canvas (18x24, came in a two pack) was $15ish. I also had black paint which was $5, so at a maximum, $25 or so. Remember glue and whatnot would have to be added onto that, and if you want it cheaper you could go smaller for everything. Good luck!

  • no offence but that is a bad rainbow. :/

  • @MinecraftPeanut ...Whatever you say

  • omg this is beautiful! i did mine on two 9X12's and it turned out pretty good. * note to self though, don't do it outside with cold wind blowing....* lol

  • Where did you get a canvas? can i get it at michaels (a art store)
