I wish I could watch/listen to some great drummers here on youtube without seeing little kid's comments comparing every drummer to travis barker.....get a life.....shut up and listen to the master at work here....
In case anyone is wondering, this arrangement is done by Greg Hopkins, who also wrote waltz of the mushroom hunters on the same album. He is also the trumpet soloist on this track, and a current professor at berklee college of music.
@JoeJacari Or you can put your mediocre drummer comments on a different video, preferably away from one that features one of the greatest drummers of all time.
Umm...hold on a minute. Just you hold it now. Had Buddy Rich lived to see the advent of Travis Barker, he would have reconsidered his approach to the whole Traditional Grip methodology and whatnot.
Sure, I hear some flurries, some crescendos here and there, some Latin Merenque and Samba beats and flourishes and flurries, etc. But Travis Barker brings sticking excellence, timing, enduro-type speed and taste from Rock to Jazz to standards to Funk to Latin and Afro Cuban jingles. Know it!

i feel like the mic on the tenor solo could have been a little louder, the balance on that part was iffy
but still an amazing performance, i remember playing this song a few years ago and its insane

I love you my brother...rageing against the net LMAO...
You make a great point though...
Buddy like every great accompanyist really probes the soloist and squeezes every last bit of swing out of the tune...
RIP Buddy....
We miss you...

Cha, cha, cha!
Alrighty everyone. Step on up to the $1.98 Vegas, all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at Circus Circus casino and bar room.
All the cheese you'd ever want, just supply the crackers and you're off! Viola!
Or...
Or, you could show up to a Travis Barker show and be dazzled by the bedazzling upside down drum awesomeness and shenanigans of TB and the band!
Step right on up Mr. and Mrs. America! No BR/NR scowling faces while they're drumming, it's just Barker's smile!

@JoeJacari Lolreally? Travis Barker has terrible time. And he's a drummer, go figure.

@JoeJacari WTF? Travis Barker? What the fuck are you talking about? Travis Barker couldn't carry Buddy Rich's jockstrap.

@JoeJacari LOL!
To even compare travis barker to buddy rich is just stupid beyond my imagination.
But to say that buddy could LEARN from travis?
Good god, my friend.
And this is no bias.
I'm a drummer, and blink is one of my favorite bands.
Facts are facts my friend.
