when i first saw this movie i was a teenager, and i almost cryed from the beauty of it. i would die if someone said that to me especially someone i love. At first i was angry at padme for being so cold but then i knew why she did it and i admired her for it. About the way their relationship ended he did it because he rather die than lose her, and thats the danger the jedi's feared when they prohibited love to jedi's. But i think he was also tempted to the dark side. padame was the stepping stone

The final version of "Attack of the Clones" didn't spend a great deal of time with a lot of dialogue between Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, but I think the few sequences like this were just perfect in showing how strong their emotions were. Anakin in particular shows a lot of his confusion and awkwardness in this scene, and I think it really shows how he makes the transition from being controlled by cognition to being controlled by his emotions and personal attachments.

I notice that in real life Hayden's girlfriend Rachel Bison looks an awful lot like Natalie Portman. The resemblance to between them is almost uncanny.

If I had been Padmé, I would've been uncomfortable too. Anakin is accusing her of hurting him (1:48), and she's in the position where she can't express how she feels because of that. This scene does creep me out a little as it shows a bit of a darker side to Anakin: a desparate side.

i absolutely love and adore this scene! Hayden's acting is really good here. I must say the dialogue is pretty awsome lol what i mean to say it that the speech really shows Anakin's feelings and i think it's perfect.

I actually dont think he's all that bad of an actor-and I dont even think the dialouge in the love scene is that bad (Hey, at least it aint "Hold me like you did on Naboo...when there was only our love"-gag) He really commited to these lines, and he seems just like a hot-headed teenager in love.

What Hayden has in spades is charisma. He should work on acting, yes, but he was better in Jumper, so I think it is the script and Lucas's direction (Which people have always said is nill to none,

How can you possibly call that 'wooden' acting. It is insanely difficult to express such feelings as an actor, and also as they were portraying teens at this point in the middle of galactic turmoil, with politics tearing the love they both feel towards each other apart. I would love to see you try better.

I never understood why Obi-wan did not tell Luke in Ep. IV about his mother Padme and where she was from. He knew all about her anyway. Padme was such a huge part of the prequels but never mentioned after that...how sad ;-(

If you read some of the Star Wars Expanded Universe books, after the events of Episode VI, Obi-Wan tells Luke more about his past as Luke grows more as a mature Jedi Master.

Lucas for whatever reason just started writing weak and wooden dialogue for the prequels. This was not a problem in episodes 4-6 but it was a major one in 1-3.
