@winterhawkwa I think cash for clunkers was a joke as well but your missing something here, Obama was not the one who started the talks about it nor did he do the final sign off on it. It was our congress as a whole who decided to do it. They have stupid ideas like hey lets ruin old cars that are still good and make people buy new cars that they still cant afford even tho we give them the money to buy them.

Obama had to work with what was given him. People conviently forget that Bush was the one who passed the 740B$ bailout without any thought or structure as to where it would go. Obama came in on the backside of that. Imagine you work for an extremely important company someone else puts together a 1,000 page proposal which is to be shown in 30secs and tosses it up in the air and says ok now you take over. Go get'm. WTF!?!?! It took "W" 8 yrs to F it up, you think it'll be fixed in 1?????

Why the hell does everyone blame Obama. He didn't write the program. The Treasury probably whispered sweet nothings in his ear, and Congress/The House got it passed and he just signed what he thought the economy needed and people wanted. not really. we had a ohc v8 that lasted about 30 seconds with no oil, it almost didnt make it to the parking spot where we "disabled" the engine
