  • Individuals have been good, occasionally even great. However, humanity as a whole, as in people in general, are not good, nor are we evil. People are not holy or saint-like. Humanity is not good or evil; yet, lies in the grey, where it always has. Today, we are worse, and maybe someday we will be good. Perhaps that is what people mean when they use phrases like "for the love of humanity", or "for the good of humanity". Perhaps they are fighting to create a good nature in our collective humanity.

  • this video has the worst title ever.

  • I wanted to have information about the actual lobotomy!

  • December 12 th 2011 ..Not the end Just the end of the world as we know it ..

  • this may or may not be a reliable video. i have my own subjective experience which seems to constantly interfere with the objective truth. however, when I follow Christ ALONE as opposed to "Christianity", I must interject that the purpose of all current events is to "relay" the message that our HUMAN efforts are simply NOT going to help us. to mainstream Christianity, SHAME on you for using God as a scapegoat. know the truth and it will set you free. your conservativism won't save you either.

  • The internet is getting pounded, one copyright troll at a time.

  • 6:05 is that molly wood?

  • WTF, I was looking for lobotomy, not this crap.

  • @95ellington LOL mate, the internet is their ice-pick. and their just going to poke us with it

  • Keep voting GOP, America. Then don't wonder what happened to your Internets.

  • Fuck this, we have a FREEDOM in USA. i can say what i want when i want, and this is a total violation of my freedoms as a person here.

  • @LucidClarityTV Hahahah, this is the funniest thing ever. You have anything in America, but not freedom...

  • Al Gore invented this.

  • Who else wants to kick some government ass, right now???

  • Wait.... what happens to all the porn sites????

  • People won't accept this.... I don't think it will happen, if they did it then people wouldn't use the internet..

  • @KryptoWolf the question is not "will it happen" the question is "when will it happen".. it's coming my friend .. the freedom we enjoy is temporary .. there is not such thing as real freedom anymore.. they can do whatever they want.. they are the ones who blew up the twin towers .. they don't care about you or me..

  • @mobspeak guess we make em care then??? The governments going to get a lot of shit for this right? hope people riot and show the government they can't just do what ever they want ......

  • And the reason why all of this is possible?............Capitalism

  • Commerce does not kill innovation. The government kills innovation. It was government involvement that killed innovation in radio and TV.

It is not the salesman that kills innovation, it's the sheriff.

  • Very video, frenchies are with you, fighting against hadopi.

  • The one thing that every company wants is control and to sit back so that they don't have to worry about their jobs. Here in Norway Telenor which is the biggest phone-company owned by our government has not put ONE penny in building FIBER. And still they want control?A Private company built that. Gues whats gonna happen, the big gets bigger and byes it later on, thats is my prediction. Who watches tv today? not me its so full of shit! Now i am in control and find what ever i want to see.INTERNET

  • I'm all for net neutrality if the public decides to do something with it. My views is that though the information is useful to expose politicians and atrocities of the State, it's also as much of a garbage-can distraction as TV can be. All depends where you go and what you do with the time you're on it. But hey, keep it free!

  • Oh no, people might have to actually talk to each other in person again. The horror.

  • Added this video to my facebook page...

  • @JrinINDY .facebook.com/pages/What-does-the-internet-mean-to-you/187219167959827

  • We need to all make a decision to only support those who support net neutrality. We just need to act together and show them who their boss really is...us.

  • I would hope they know they are crippling themselves ,because now those little businesses with their own internet which will be fiber optic , and not copper wire that will be in competition with the big corporations have a golden opportunity over throw this! Better watch out Wal-Mart might come online with their own internet with low prices ,and have a new way of building our freedom around their monoply ..

  • As an artist and seeing this is actually going on ,and a vote around Christmas. If all fails what about love ones over seas that won't be able to be reached? Merry Christmas.Where is the love? All to make a buck? To squeeze their type grip for control.

  • Does anyone know from which original lecture the excerpt with Lawrence Lessig talking about early press and radio was taken? Can't seem to find the original anywhere.

  • Internet = Freedom

  • Time of fav. 4:20

  • awesome research thanks for sharing :)

  • i think the internet is the only thing that's keeping me sane.

  • fuck back

  • Great video!

  • If the internet is taken out of america it will become a 2nd world country

  • Every man, woman, and child gets to use his best weapons of self-preservation through this medium. It also allows so much bullying over anything to hang around as well. Everything that is created to help mankind, always gets inverted and screws us all up.....Is there some way to FLIP it off when it gets to be a nuisance and tragedy in every possible undertaking????

  • Wait....What? This isnt a video about lobotomy. :(

  • @rbmaserang

There not talking about making the internet free to use their talking about freedom of what to put on it. Like what you can put on youtube.com stuff like that. Just like the comment you made would not be allowed because a major corporation would not let you, if they had complete control over it.

  • @rbmaserang

Do you have any comprehension skill whatsoever? Are you a 5 year old by chance?

  • Like all other monopolies of what belongs to all of us the simple solution is to tax the profits made 100%. Right now we give most of the unearned profits of monopoly of land, natural resources, the electro-magnetic spectrum including radio and TV, away. We, all of us, make these things valuable and that value therefore does not properly belong to its "owners" who do not create it. The same applies to the internet. Access providers deserve to be paid for the value they create and no more.

  • FUCK NET NEUTRALITY! FREEDOM OF SPEECH FTW!!

  • @THISPAKIMISS good attitude, but net neutrality is the GOOD thing. we want to SAVE it. net neutrality is freedom of speech.

  • @J8Dust8 Oh shit, I just realized what I said.. Haha.. I feel like an idiot now LOL But yes, thank you.

  • FIGHT THE POWER!

  • It's coming to France too in the hands of Natalie Kosciusko Morizet they all want the control of the internet.

  • And yet you distribute your your bias argument over the internet.

  • They want to control content, and censure context. Sites like youtube are on a hit list, free independent media and news sites are gonna get squeezed off and replaced by single-sided, biased corporation monopolies like CNN. Basically, you'll lose your right to share content you create freely, or to freely exchange information with other ppl. I.E: AT&T will charge you for sending photos of your barbecue to your friend, or for posting a youtube vid. Personal websites will be smothered also.

  • Didn't quite understand what exactly is threatening the net neutrality right now, can someone give an example pls ?

  • must have internet

  • 1:58 spelled Disappear. Computers have also hailed the age of automatic spell checker!

  • Australia doesn't have freedom of speech and now it looks like the government's proposed internet filter is going ahead. The government will decide what we access. Hello Little China.

  • I bet some Big Oil (who also own some Big Media Telcom companies) company is going lobby Israel to attack Iran, a war starts, the public is distracted and a new anti-net-neutrality legislation passes.

  • So...we beat the phone companies then? I mean I pay for an ISP, but that's about it.

  • first of all you shouldn't even be paying for internet....internet must be free....it is a communication right and not a corporate plus that must be payed for.

  • @maximuslt90 and cellphones ?

  • @CizzarGX well cell phones should be much much less, bc the phone companies merely took over the infrastructure and now are making money off of it, we should pay for it bc there are things that need to be repaired, but as far as the internet goes....there is nothing to take care of.......

  • @MelvinStar23 Say goodbye to free speech and democracy while your at it. The internet is the only medium that big corporations and big government doesn't control. You can't get the truth from TV, you get THEIR version of the truth. Is this what we want? We only know what we get spoon fed by the Lie-box?

  • so this is about GREED and CONTROL? another evil human behind the scenes! :::a word from your daily alien:::

  • You are all very sadly mistaken as to the REAL issue. The primary issue is "us". You, me, and every soul using such technological- implementations are being "altered" (by and through) the usage of them. We, the maker of such technologies are being altered in a most insidious manner: we are DIS-evolving, and instead becoming the PRODUCT of PRODUCTS...you ARE what you DO and think about. I say to hell with the internet altogether...keep paying through the nose for a dose of "secondary" realities.

  • Innovation doesnt matter as much to the goddamn Ferengi as profit! Its like ATT charging me extra to call MCI's customer service line. If Comcast builds a freeway, can they charge $500 to pass a stop light that leads to your neighborhood? There are too many net addicts though. If they overturn net neutrality I will join the mobs in the streets as they hang the exec's and burn down their houses.

  • I'm neither a violent man, nor an activist. But I'm an internet user and have been for over a decade. If my government takes away my freedom of internet, I WILL BE PROTESTING ON THE STREETS.

  • yea but if and when they take it away, itll be too late. controlled and done for. it will happen. because not many will stand up against it. plus with all the other bullshit we gota worry about this topic doesnt get much light. fuckit, sick of all there shit. lets riot.

  • @IMMatthu

The threat here is the telephone-companies. Not the government. This is important here, since the telephone-companies will try to make it look like the government is trying to censore something. Wait for the spin.

  • Like with their recent(finally) ruling against application based throttling. They ruled that throttling is illegal, but they're going to leave it up to the customer to file a claim and prove whether they are being throttled or not. That's absurd.

  • @IMMatthu

do you think that the internet should be held accountable for people who are already abusive and even dangerous? I fear all the people out there constantly creating a way to do some unthinkable harm and danger to people they know little or nothing about. Am I just not getting the point of this medium to hear very unimportant and even the more, kill all worthless information coming from God knows where......

  • ok. now what?

  • now...we riot..

  • HUMANITY and analogies whit outer, very important for my life.

looking for the similarities, of words, images music, spread love among human beings involved.

    you noticed?

    very important!

    goodbye.

    w.one

  • I'm calling it now . . .the corporations will try to achieve control with the excuse of curbing child porn

  • Good call.. that's a hard one to fight.

  • Interesting theory.

  • If the internet becomes corporate, I will not pay for service. For the same reason I don't have a newspaper subscription, for the same reason I don't own a TV, for the same reason the only radio in my house is part of my alarm clock. I'll not be fed Big Brother's stream of propoganda!

  • The phone and cable companies are scrambling to kill Net Neutrality so they can inspect and filter content, and overcharge you for using the Web in ways they don't like. Over the past six months alone, these companies have hired 500 lobbyists in Washington to try to stop this bill from becoming law.

  • It's up to you to tell your members of Congress to side with the public -- not with the corporate lobbyists -- and take a final stand for an open Internet by supporting the Internet Freedom Preservation Act of 2009 (H.R. 3458).

  • Internet is not centralized. Is it in every corner of the globe. Not just from one company. There are a lot of servers and providers, satelites and company s one company or some of them could not dictate at a free network.

If this happen, there are people capable to do another network. Internet is not the unique.

  • this will never happen

  • Don't worry. I'm not a violent person, and if they took the internet away, I'd organize a violent revolution.

And its not worth any sum of money to me: personal internet is more valuable than a billion dollars to me.

They make us pay for this? I'll kill them! I think Google would kill them too for killing their prophit medium: advertisement.

This isn't going to happen, but if it does, I'll be ready. Too much prophit will be lost by buisnesses, LIKE GOOGLE.

    I'll fight, violently.

  • WE are living in a gangster world!

  • I just found this! OMFG!!! Houston, we have a problem!!!

  • yep this is correct it's called corporate corruption with the collusion of government thru influence lobbying all for huge profits and control

  • Awsome! spread the word

  • Am I the only one that sees similarity between Vinton Cerf and the "Architect" of the Matrix?

  • Wow, can this really happen?!

  • Yes, that's why we need to fight it. The internet is the great medium it is because everyone can create content for it, and because it is a bi-directional form of mass-media. If the corporations have their way, the internet will become just another boob-tube, or idiot-box.

  • a moving documentary.

  • Great video.

  • This argument has been going on for years now on the issue of net neutrality.

They will win in the end either way; They have more money, so they have more pull; Welcome to America, its been going on for quite awhile now. The internet is like the coal power industry, you can choice to get it via the basic providers, or not get it all.

The wonders of democracy when everyone is ignorant. Once it's taken away, its too late to change it.

  • I agree.

  • This is a good video, but puttin it on youtube is the irony of the decade :)

  • this is a great video is there any way i can mirror it?

  • Awesome. also It's you guys! the four eyed monsters film-makers. *****

  • excellent

  • Nice work. keep it up. mean time come for social media marketing for esteembpo**com dgjgvmxfgv

  • so what happens after lobotimy?

  • google - lobotomy

  • What happened to net neutrality? now

  • Guess who? ***COMCAST*** is working OVERTIME right now to LOBBY Governments and UNDERMINE our Currently Functioning INTERNET. After losing an important lawsuit, they have ReDoubled their Efforts. They are paying $Millions$ of U.S. Dollars right now to work their nefarious Will to Take the InterNet away from common people. Other large corporations so engaged include MicroSoft, Verizon and AT&T, and others. The main problem is not this Conflict; Rather, it is Our VERY SOCIETY STRUCTURE ITSELF.

  • You spelled "Disappear" wrong.

  • I believe it's "spelt"!

  • I believe it depends on which continent you belong on!

  • if you live in america, this will affect us indirectly

  • Someone, somewhere, should develop an independent server, browser, internet connection and service. It would be a ferocious, classic battle of big verses small, rich verses poor......it could be done. Enough people, enough ideas, enough PASSION....and it could be the difference between social networking freedom and total internet limitations and network devastation.

  • MAybe... but don't hold your breath. The original internet was built by a collusion between the US military and academia... the phone network was built by, well, by AT&T, but with tax subsidies... it takes money and power to build these things. Look at pirate/unlicensed radio... who cares? who listens? a handful.

No. We must do everything we can to ensure Net Neutrality on the existing networks, and we must do it now.

  • fascinatng.

  • What's the music? Love it. Love it . Love it.

  • The first song is Mutemath from their album Reset Ep (2004). I have the album and the whole thing is awesome.

  • This video made me sick to my stomach. I hate control, I hate censorship, I hate regulation. Give me anarchy any day.

  • I do not think they did their research very well. Firstly, there has never been a time when it is so easy to publish books on any subject. Self regulated HAM radio is available to everyone but is an inefficient medium. The internet does not need to be regulated; a government that can decide how "neutral" something is, can also decide to impose restrictions. The great firewall of China is a perfect example. The Internet there would be fine were it not for the government.

  • To further the point; TV, Film and Broadcast Radio ARE regulated by the government. Sure enough, there we have censorship. Do we REALLY want the government to intervene yet again? Virtually any time the government steps in, innovation declines, consumer choice is reduced and private industry is harmed...that includes Google's youtube. The government that can regulate what a company can do can also regulate what YOU have access to.

  • I can't understand 80% of the comments in here due to poor grammar/spelling. I wish more people were able to express themselves clearly. I'm sure a lot of you have great ideas.

  • It is easy to control the massification but not the diversity !

  • Internet is controlled coz the majority do the same crap everydat so very easy to be targeted, labelled.....Games, sex, shopping..pure crap !...but if we read many pages everytime and get registered in many many sites every time too... and reclyce thousands of documents and informations, no one could control us...the system will be saturated so imposible to control. Internet is impossible to control as far as people dont use by billions social net work sites.

  • Good point, but only in theory. If you become too diversified you are incomprehensible sure, but, you also lose your principal focus in life. In short, messed up.

It would be pretty disastrous if everybody in this world is a jack of all trades and masters of none, don't you agree?

  • "The internet is already horribly censored and filtered by corporations. The worst part of the internet is a collective way of thinking, because it makes each of us feel we have freedom, when really we are..."

I agree. It's not necessary, bring back the zine! Then again, it is a great tool. The essential functions of the internet are intact, and I don't see them going away. Should they ever, it will become another useless tool, and we'll leave it to the corporations, eh?

  • Sorry to disapoint you but i am a choreographer who use the net for work, the rest of the day, i do rehearsal, i dont waste my time insulting others or writting nonsense. Please show some respect, this is a public place, not your back garden so have a bit of education and dont insult me. BY the way, i am certainly sure that my body is millions time fitter than yours. The sad thing with the net is that is also in the hands of many uneducated people who just waste their time insulting the rest.

  • If you destroy property rights where will be the Internet on which you propose to be free?

  • The internet is already horribly censored and filtered by corporations. The worst part of the internet is a collective way of thinking, because it makes each of us feel we have freedom, when really we are oppressed. I think we should spend our effort on disconnecting from this medium rather than believing it's good for our societal evolution.

  • I agree with u totally, censored and controlled....PC means also profile control...Internet was given to us to create a profile of each person, to know who is who, and to create a digital depending economy that can be destroyed just with a click. Computers are making people isolated and in worst health. Since the massification of PCs, heart diseases have rised enormously coz people dont move their bodies anymore.

  • WAAAA I'm only 15!!!! WAAAAAAAA MY LIFE IS AT STAKE!!!! WAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

  • tim berners-lee = fucking legend.

  • WE paid for those pipes. The internet was built with tax dollars.

  • this video is fairly old, we now have an internet users bill or rights in america.

  • Get off Facebook

  • business dictating to government is socialized fascism!!!

  • i can't wait til they take it away from me/junkie:(

  • hahaha, too funny! but seriously, F*&!ing phone companies, they SUCK!

  • This stuff already exists as DRM (Digital Rights Management) So far items such as music files and video use it. But we are already seeing the rise of Microsoft and other documents which check whether they are allowed. You can imagine a government digitally pulling the plug on all content which supported a strike or corp criticism This ability to have an 'allow' state in media, set by someone else, is evil dangerous level of information control. We must break DRM and similar all ways possible.

  • It is far more important that we educate people about safe ways to pirate music and educational material, than it is to protect copyright. In a sane society those who made money from software should pay for it. Those who wish to enjoy or learn and play will develop the media. We should see that copying and sharing are benefits which make society wealthy. There was a time when these same companies tried to ban magnetic tape! We need progress and music for humankind, not profit for the few.

  • I concur.

I will 'purchase' a good if i feel the content is worthy, to support the artist/developer. Some(older) people find this concept hard to grasp that people will pay for something after they have acquired it (illegally or otherwise) - provided it is worth it. Radiohead released their album Rainbows available to dload on their site free of charge, however they still made money. Support independant artists and pirate multinational corp.

  • save the internet ...

  • The US government has already set up the master computers that will sensor the US internet.

They are working with the EXACT same US transnational corporations that set up the sensored Chinese internet (along with others).

The government can't "shut down" the internet because that is their most profitable spy network and big business NEEDS the internet.

What they WILL do is LIMIT what you get to see and hear on the net, FASCISM control.

  • u see..buying out the internet is nothing but corporate fascism..they want people to give away their liberties on the internet and freedom of speech for premium service...it seems they are having a tough time but they will come up with something like flooding the internet viruses or worms or other makicious content and offer u the illusion of a safer internet and spy on us ....it's gonna be a police state if they do so

  • That's true. If you can't buy it what good is it? Well maybe a few of us can bypass the system. I guess the rest will choose to stay in the matrix. haha! Peace Yo

  • Sony are working on technology that requires chip insertion to interact with virtual reality. The future of society lies in computer games, like world of warcraft. The vice grip tightens the world over (or perhaps the Universe) powers are conspiring to quickly limit our freedom and awareness as we continue to awaken as a specie. Resistance and subserviance is what they want, give up the fight and ego - there is your salvation. blahblahblah

  • It's too late! They will not be ready for telepathy and that's our next step and that's free!!! hahaha! One Love

  • great video BUT

you didn't credit the youtubers you used in these clips.

    i find that offensive.

  • The recent hurricanes should prove just how vulnerable our computers, tvs, and phones are.

    That's just life.

  • IJDGBUIE

  • Oh, and by the way, just to stay on topic, Fuck net neutrality. This isn't right and everyone knows it. they have no god deeeamn right to take any soapbox from any of us and if they do this the shit could hit the fan. Not to mention the financial shit were in.

  • Agree, but "THEY" believe they can do anything...they ALL have broken many, many laws, so beware, censorship, and mind control is here!!

  • I don't think you understand what you're talking about. Net neutrality is WHAT we the people want. It is not something being pushed corporations. Net Neutrality is the principle that protects our ability go where we want and do what we choose online.

  • My most recent comment was directed at unholydegas.

  • Like I said I miswrote so that's that, I agree that we shouldn't have a regulated internet, It's a great free and open way to express yourself and a great way to learn so it's just a retarded idea to stifle such a valuable tool for humanity.

Jadaxd Thank you for pointing out my mistake.

  • Net nuetrality turns the internet into a glorified cable system, they plan to consolidate internet power into the hands of just a few of the telecoms. And your right I mispoke, we are for net nuetrality, and not the consolidation of the powers that be, on the interwebs.

  • I agree with you completely and yes they do need to be exterminated. but exactly who?

  • Vote for Obama he says this will not be allowed.

  • ...I don't even know what to say any more...

I mean, short of serious acts of violence again these corporate scum, what the hell do we do? Spread the word, spread the word... Why? You can protest right to their faces and they'll just go ahead with what they were going to do anyway. Soooo, what do we try next here people? There's got to be a better way. My God, I am so frustrated with all this maddness. I really hate these people. (SIGH)

  • Not yet... they have to fire first...

    that's what I heard.

  • I feel the same...being a passive resister, I am turning into a time bomb, ready to go crazy on these thief's and crooks!

  • we out number them!!!! but nobody wants to do any thing about it kudos to people who do want to take action

  • wtf i thought al gore invented the internet. lol

Anyway stop the four eyed monster

  • Watch the new & excellent film, "Wake Up Call: New World Order". You should be able to find the link to watch it via google, unless they are censoring that as well. So if U can't find this MUST-SEE & worthwhile film ( which is also uplifting, w/ hope in the end), then find & watch, "Washington, You're Fired". It's also a new film, about the History of the Rights slamming USA Patriot Act, & what we can do about it. Can be watched at stopfascismDOTcom

    Also see: freedomforceinternationalDOTorg

  • i dont understand these rich fuck ...i mean they have billions of dollars but want more??? why u cant even spend all the money u have now if u give me even a couple of thousand dollars ill be happy but these CEO fucks aren't even happy with billions WTF

  • **wake up** xD

the goal is control, money is just a medium a form of energy. Who needs the internet anyway, just give it up.

and they are not Rich, they have an endless hunger, a black hole. Anyone think the sh/t happening is a nesseccary evil? to benefit man in the long run? appreciate what we have, help us broaden our perspective get over our prejudice ingrained over the millenia. Positive spin ;)

  • i've met tim berners lee, he worked for my dad in the 70's.

    im sure alo
