  • PHUCK NIXON

  • @NineInchLongSchlong - One ninth of an inch, perhaps. The man has more integrity in his right thumb than you and your commie ilk have in your bodies combined.

    Good day.

  • compared to what we have in office now, this man is a paragon of justia et pax and plain good common sense.

At least Mr. Nixon did the right things, at the right times, for the right reasons, within substantial arenas of his Presidency.

Mr. Obama does none of these. It is like sand in my mouth to address Mr. Obama as "Mr. President."

  • @ha757224 You could always call him "Sir."

  • All the bullshit going on at this time, I find absolutely fascinating. Like, I wish soooo badly I'd lived during this. Whenever I watch Forrest Gump, I get jealous.

  • Judge Sirica was fining Nixon $25,000 per day to release the tapes. Once they were released, Nixon's Presidency was untenable. Nixon's secret recordings revealed more than obstruction of justice, but patent paranoia, vindictive agendas, and total distrust of just about everyone. Contrast this with his skills in foreign policy, and we have a very complicated man.

  • While this speech was happening on live television, my parents' next door neighbor was having his boat stolen right from his driveway! We joked with him and said, "NIXON DID IT!" Then we would all say, "I'm not a crook!" Whoever stole this boat knew we'd all be riveted to our TV's at that time! The police eventually found and returned his boat, but it was damaged.

  • your president is NOT a crook

  • sick, sick nation.

  • I am not a republican but I truly admire this man. He was flawed, he was racist, he broke the law, yet he was a good leader. I know it sounds crazy but it's the truth.

  • Does anyone have any network coverage of Nixon's resigination? It'd be very interesting to see.

  • @abqwriter ABC's Frank Reynolds reported it with tears in his eyes.

  • Quite a president, he screwed up...but don't we all

  • Should not have resigned. Nixon, Reagan and Clinton have performed better than Johnson, Ford, Carter and above all... GeorgeH. W. Bush : this is not my personal opinion : it is an opinion more and more people start to share.

  • Nixon is one of the greatest presidents that ever lived.. Its to bad that in that last year he got caught up a little to much with revenge and craziness. But with real research you will realize that he was truly great.

  • @RammingSpeed11 I agree with you. NIXON was the greatest president that we've ever had. NIXON all the way! NIXON! NIXON! NIXON!

  • fuck the u.s

  • 2 men broke into an office, the break-in was linked to the White House. the break-in was done by "the committee to re-elect the President" the idiots got caught & Nixon was betrayed. question: why did Nixon want another term in office????

  • Nixon was a great preident who did a lot of great things. It's unfortunate he's remembered for a minor act that probably many other presidents have done.

  • @JordoBurns i am glad there are intelligent people like you who truly understand the great things he has accomplished. i do believe that the last year he got a little too caught up with revenge. But he IS! one of our greatest presidents and should always be thought of as that.

  • Doesn't he sound like Ronald Regan?

  • I know this comment will probably get a poor rating or two but today is Nixon's birthday! The date is January 9, 2010 and he is turning 97 years old, despite being currently deceased.

  • He was not a crook.

  • Atleast he didn't have any sexual encounters.Poor tricky dicky..Sort of lame compared to the crap that is going on today...

  • What a fucked up chapter in Americas history

  • And your language shows that each succesive chapter simply get's worse. Instead improving America and lifting it to a higher place, you simply take it down, down, down...

  • I wasn't referring to anything like that if you were linking it to "my language" which is how I took that. If that's not what you were implying I'm not sure where you were going with that. I don't care to either take it down or improve it or lift it up so I hope you aren't trying to say I am

  • As is every other chapter

  • At least he tried to build up the country at a very difficult time in our history. He was a good man. The left always hated him because of Alger Hiss.

  • I've memorized this....lol

  • Serious? And this is only half of it, and you've memorised all of it? How the heck did you manage that? Hahah

  • Last year was one of those summers where I had absolutley nothing to do, and I keep watching it, and now I can say the words as he speaks.

  • Wow, well done.

And I thought it was wicked when I memorized both speeches in V for Vendetta. Lol.

    Guess you've trumped me. xP

  • Scary!!!

  • I personally think Nixon was a good president. He just got caught up in a bunch of crap. He will always have my respect. Of course however, I respect any person that has been elected as president of this great nation. I may not like them, but I will respect them.

  • @JAMESJETTIII Amen! That's how it should be regardless of the President's politics.

  • @JAMESJETTIII LBJ ALL THE WAY!

  • @JAMESJETTIII I agree with you. I wouldn't have voted for President Obama, and don't necessarily like him, but I still respect him. So many don't even give him the courtesy of addressing him as President Obama, but just Obama.

People aren't prefect, that's why we have the checks and balances in government, impeachment being one of the most severe. It takes a lot to be a good president. I think people forget that

  • @ChildofGod318 - When Obama is deserving of the title "President" I'll consider it. He's don't nothing to deserve it. Electing him didn't make him President. It put him in the office.

And did you say the same thing when libtards said "Bush" and said "He's not my President"? I bet you didn't.

  • 911 Taught us two things:

    1) America should have brought proper closure to the JFK murder

    2) Nixon did not have to resign; because from a practical sense, the US President is completely above the law!

  • Yeah Superpuddin88..I Say the Same!

But, I Think Nixon Wanted To Leave De Office Cuzz,He Didnt Wanted Do Be Remembered As The "Cheater President"

or "WORST" President Ever or "Conspirative" President ....

I Think VICE PRESIDENT FORD Was The "BRAIN" of all this "SCANDAL"

    HE WANTED TO BE PRESIDENT

Im Sorry To Interrupt You But , I Was Acording With You That Nixon Shouldnt Resign.

    SINCELY

  • emilio

Guess who took Nixon out of retirement and is single-handedly responsible for the Nixon Presidency?

    Answer: Prescott Bush

Last time a Bush or Nixon was not in a Republican Presidency: 1928

  • I think he chose to resign as president because he was likely to face impeachment.

  • chris

I think maybe that is what Nixon thought

However, if Nixon had today's congress, (98% which are incumbents), he would have never even been indicted!

Today's congress never read the Patriot Acts, Victory Act, Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, TARP, etc.

Congress today is merely a "rubber stamp"
