BF3: how to kill a tank using enemy mines and dealing with repair engis

so you can destory enmy mines with an rpg or grenade, and kill a tank with it, but can i do the same when i'm placing 1 mine of myself between some enemy mines? and does this also work with c4 (jihad tank, etc. :D ) and at least, am i able to kill a tank with a sniper rifle with this method and does the tank driver get to see killed by a sniper rifel then ;D ?

First time I found out about this trick I was a medic, threw a grenade at some enemy mines to get expl. ribbons and a tank drove in just in time and as a medic I killed a tank

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I use my mines like C4. If you're close enough to the tank, place a couple mines next to it and chuck a grenade at them to blow them up and destroy the tank. Even if you're to the side of them so they can't back over you, you'll still get the kill. Works every time.

Yea, I know about this one, and whats even more fun, when you see a teammate putting C4 on an enemy vehicle, wait for him to get done, and as he moves away, fire an RPG at it. You'll get the Kill and destroy bonus, and they won't get anything...I do that a lot on purpose to my teammates, just because I totally believe that C4 is FUCKING cheap...LOL

All your techniques are absolutely brilliant, but some players aren't quick enough neither smart or they forget the tactics. I personally learned these by myself but I think everyone can do them too. I believe ppl think it's not realistic enough when there's these kinds of tactics IN BF3. (like this one)

@rivaLxfactor Thats what I do, I was putting them at the entrance to the tunnel on Damavand so that they wouldn't take our home flag, and he shot them while I was setting up and got me killed... and he blew up my other mines like 3 different times.

Javelins actually do a great job getting repairing engineers aswell.. It hits from above and slightly to the back of the tank I guess.. Almost always kills anyone caught within 3-5 feet of the tank.

First time I did this, I ran up to an AMTRAK that was parked. Planted mines around it, and chucked a grenade at them. Took out that AMTRAK almost as fast as C4.

After killing engineer, finish the tank off or repair and steal it...

As a tank driver, you should also make sure that your repairers have an open space behind them so they don't get hurt by falling rubble or the blast radius of an explosive. If you're backed up near a wall, say bye bye to your repairers and yourself.

@rivaLxfactor In competitive matches on console, we hardly ever use them since everyone uses IR in tanks. In pubs, hardly anyone leaves AT mines in reasonable spots. I'll be in the middle of a tank battle and there are geniuses setting up tank mines right behind me. Also I never go over any friendly tank mine, you run too much danger of an enemy waiting for that and blowing it up at the right moment.
