And any cop that the only way he can "protect" from harming Herself and anybody else an unarmed, emotionally disturbed 10 year old girl is with a stun gun is an incompetent cop and a failure as an adult
@suguspjr Not every child with behavior issues is "disturbed." Some are just bad or victims of bad parenting. Either way, children need to learn they are not adults and cannot act like they are. They need to understand boundaries, and both children and adults need on occasional kick in the pants to make them understand their place
well this is what you get when the stupid child protective laws are so strict and abused by so many that parents are not allowed to spank or punish there children as they see fit. and its not use it if they have no other choice the stun gun is for a subject that will not obey what the cop has said. if you don't listen you get zapped and if she kick him in the balls whats better stun gun or the felony of assaulting a police officer.
@motozumex You are right. Children now a days don't have any perception of boundaries, both social and physical. Sometimes, they need tough love and an occasional reality check to force them to regain perspective...children are not adults and cannot be afforded the same "rights."
What about a strait jacket and time in a padded cell and then legitimate psychiatric therapy to prevent the child from hurting herself and others? Or is that too logical and humane? The taser will probably make her behavioral problems worse & cause her to hate authority even more.
What happened to common sense? The cop & mother needs as much therapy as the daughter. Even if the 10 year old girl weighed 120 pounds (we don't know her weight), any average cop can handcuff & jail her.
I said the cop did the right thing. The girl could have scratched, bitten and potentially harmed herself in the situation. If you ever seen a young kid throw a tantrum and how he hurts himself and destroys the things around him, a swift lick on the behind can fix that. I mean, what would you have done? You can say "restrain her" cause that could cause SERIOUS harm to her. Not even a 2 sec tase did her any damage. Next time, I bet she'll think twice.
i wish people would educate themselves on the taser issue. The taser is used in a case such as this not because he was worried she would overpower him but because the officer did not want to hurt the girl and the taser ensures no injuries. If he had grabbed he by the arm and pushed her to the ground and busted her lip or worse who would have wanted that. As it turns out she's fine and not injured. Job well done
the mother dosen't know how to parent. their are children who worse than the girl and the parents don't need the to call the cops. yes the girl was acting up but she didn't deserve that........
Officer Dustin Bradshaw is a douchebag and needs his nuts tied to a rocket for doing this! If you support his actions you need to be sitting right next to him!!!
"Who told her to call police..." Just do what you are told, Moms. Dont use your own sense. Well, maybe you not have sense...So just get your dam shot !
An Ozark, Arkansas police officer is in trouble with the law for using a taser on a physically-abusive 10-year-old girl, only after asking the girl's mother could he do so. It's a little hard for me to feel sympathy for any child now a days, especially given that children act with impunity toward adults knowing that most adults cannot legally do anything in the way of physically confronting or sanctioning them.
And that is beyond disgusting. It's immoral and Godless. Children NEED clear tangible limits established with real consequences, not imbecilic, ineffective measures that merely skirt the issue.
Equal parts in equal measure, starting when they are BORN! Praise and encouragement for good
behaviors, and consequences for problem behavior.
If the child trashes his/her room, they clean it up.
Or get their ass strapped. No negotiations. The
correction fits the problem. "Time out" NEVER WORKS.
I know thats for real! I used to substitute teach, and these f**kin kids are out of control!!! They need to learn their place, and parents need to stop being so damned whimpy when it comes to enforcing who's the adult and who's the child! I have no sympathy for kids who dont know their place!
That woman is a failure as a mother.

@BeyondTheSpectrum08 News:"The girl who has a history of emotional problems"
FATHER:"She is just a kid,She is not a dog"
Any Police Officer is physically capable, and professionally trained,to reduce an UNARMED ADULT person
A kid refusing to take a shower is not acting as an adult.
Any adult who needs to be told to take a shower. And refuses to do so,is immature. And a pig
Any adult who places in the same bag a"kick in the pants"and a cop taser your child for refusing to take a shower IS"DISTURBED"

My friend give up your children if you can not handle them. 10 years old and the only way you have to defend yourself is with taser.
