  • I need to grow a mustache.

  • not many know that zappa was almost considered for the olympic swimming team - here is your proof!

  • The best Miami Vice scene ever.

  • Miami Vice : Season 2 - Payback

Check out my Channel for more Miami Vice Videos

  • Frank was holding his nose because the show stinks. He thought,"fuck these clowns, I'm off to save that Drowning Witch "

  • weasel dipped..

  • that is one sweet-ass speedboat

  • 1:50 - flip flap!

  • why did he hold his nose to dive in but then .... forget it.. it's a tv show :)

  • why would they do that to frank zappa?

  • "Burnett and Crockett are the same guy. I want my $3 million Crockett."

    (Oooooh Shiiiit!!!!!!)

  • @volvo242tank $3,000,000, yes the money Frank needed for the Thing Fish Musical! Crockett ruined the musical-show!

  • I used to have a weasel dust problem.

  • Weasel Dust ripped my flesh! The Ocean is the Ultimate Solution

  • This is awesome, but I liked Frank better as the hunchback in " . . . the Shivers".

  • Whaaaa? haha. I never knew FZ did this show. But I can't listen to him talk without expecting to hear the band jump in at any moment. "They talk briefly, and then guess what? Moroto kills himself" -snare pops, brass trills and Napoleon Murphy Brock screams, 'not the Desenex burger!'-

  • You can see it any time

    when you get the squints

from your downers and your wine

you're so big, it's so tiny

    every cloud is silver line-y

the great escape for all of you

    tiny is as tiny does

  • @decimated550 tiny is as tiny do. not does

  • @rickyjshiznit - oh right - they do say it that way. you are correct, Mr Carson!

  • heheheh... he sounds like he's doing his talking part in a concert !

  • He should start playing Peaches en Regalia at the end;

  • Good nose for weasel dust.

  • payback it is...

  • This reminds me of the time I got mugged and the guy took 40 of my favorite dollars.

  • WEASEL DUST RIPPED MY FLESH

  • Damn but Frank is a badass. dont know who those other guys were...

  • So my husband's hero FZ & my hero Glenn Frey both acted in Miami Vice. Now I've seen everything!

  • I wonder how Frank got them to put weasel dust in the script. They should have let him do the soundtrack.

  • good thing he knows how to swim

  • I wonder how much Weasel Dust $3,000,000 can buy you....

  • @teetomthomas "In a little white box that I can sell uptown..."?

  • @PhiZappaCrappa "The price of Weasel Dust has just gone up...."

  • @teetomthomas and Crocket has just gone down.

  • Lol, they got nothing on Frank

  • Looks like FZ might have had some acting potential. But Miami Vice? What was he thinking? Can't scrape much closer to the bottom of the velveeta barrel than that.

  • @olflatop He did it for his son who loved this serial. Simple as that.

  • who the fuck is the guy pushing the speadboat at 3:39 XD LOL hahha

  • Now I know why I never watched Miami Vice,Crocket was a "Slime Ball" with a funny voice.

  • he reminds me of Borat

  • Best. Episode. Ever.

  • Note the white-painted weapon on a tripod (looks like a 20MM Oerlikon deck gun or maybe a dressed up M2 Fifty Cal MG with a ventliated barrel cover) mounted on the boat, you hardly even notice it's there. Actually for a drug lord, it's a neat touch as it blends in well on his yacht. If you look carefully, you can see it at 3:47 to the right. Neat touch, and it makes you wonder why they went to the trouble for something most people never noticed.

  • Not a Ma-Deuce. Looks like it has a top-mounted magazine in a much larger caliber. Might just be some Hollywood Frankenstein static display piece.

  • WHERE'S THE WOMAN COP?

NO WOMAN COP? YOU MEAN THEY USE TO HAVE SHOWS WITH NO WOMAN COPS?

BEAN COUNTERS MUST HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND THEN...

  • Weasel Dust Ripped My Flesh! Rzzzzzzz!

  • Weasel Dust. Sounds like a Frank Zappa album.

  • Shiat!!!! he was a GREAT musician, but a really bad actor!!!!

  • Hahaha "Weasel dust" that's totally Zappa.

  • you're kidding

  • Frank Zappa era o Tripa Seca?

  • what kind of rifle is that mounted to the top rear deck of the yacht at 3:48 ?

  • @jf1gd2 a .50 cal-I think its the same gun Rambo used in his last movie to take out the Khmer Rouge.

  • @bigbev13 thanks, so its an m60 and not a barrett m107?

  • I love how Frank's accent fades in and out! amature!

  • One of the good episodes, speaking of cameo's roberto duran blew his brains out at the beginning(who zappa is talking about).Alot of famous people, musicians, athletes wanted to be on miami vice.Im sure they regret putting danny sullivan and bill russell on though...yikes,really REALLY bad acting. But zappa i think was one of the better guests.

  • damn this is intense! Never seen Zappa on a Television-series xD

  • @BigKahuna93 --- he was on SNL, many years ago. His appearance was a eagerly expected fusion of the counterculture tastes of him and the SNL performers. But the chemistry wasn't right and the skits were tense and unsuccessful. His music numbers, though, were excellent, including "The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing"

  • that was a stunt double diving in at the end. frank couldn't swim.

  • @bradfordknights really? he couldn't swim. strane

  • @bradfordknights really? can you give your source plz? its a different take before he jumps indeed...

  • @bradfordknights realy, why not?

  • Excellent episode!!

  • Zappa always preached stay away for the "weasel dust", people. Oh no, tubbs has got Zappa at gun point in this scene!!!

  • Frank may have done this for his kids, maybe as a lark...I don't think he took it all that seriously when he did it...that slightly stilted, flat delivery of his lines sounds pretty deadpan in tone...the weasel dust line could've been improvised or thrown in by someone (writer, director, Don Johnson) as a comical tribute to Frank. No opinion on Miami Vice, didn't like or dislike cause I never watched it, and never knew Frank appeared on it. He was taking on Tipper around then, wasn't he?

  • ha ha, slimeball cop.

  • hahahaahh Dweezil Dust.

  • 3:19 "You've got to be kidding me"

    :D

  • he sure doesn't have to do much to be my favorite actor

  • he's the boss

  • if Zappa would be the writer, he wouldve said that before kicking their asses with an epic guitar solo

  • Episode written by ROBERT CRAIS, who went on to create Elvis Cole and Joe Pike.

  • LOL what an epic right hook to send that guy flying overboard.

  • "The Muffin Man is seated at the table in the laboratory of the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen."

Frank's opening dialogue reminded me of the intro to that song.

  • 3:41 listen to that boat engine purr.

  • Good job Frank didn't seriously try to pursue a career in acting - 1) We'd have missed out on the fucking best music in the universe and 2) He would have bombed worse than the Edsel!

    Painful to watch

  • 3:42 , man those big blocks sound sweeeeeeeeettttttt!!

  • I need to score some weasel dust.

  • it remenber's me GTA Vice City :D

  • Comment removed

  • frank.... leave the mafia and get back to RnR.

  • can sumbody please help me with a download link to the song in this scene????

  • he reminds me so much al pacino on scarface..

maybe he could pick up both careers.. i don't know..

best part: guys being killed by a plastic uzi that leaves no bullet holes/blood on the victims :)

  • busted frank!

  • frank does cut derilect... did i spell that right? ogjh shit gun fire!!! musi!

  • Oh shit! Nick Tortelli works for Frank!

    Chick in blue, nice tush.

  • THATS WHAT FRANK SAID!

  • this is soooooo hilarious

  • yo dude, its called PAYBACK by a gezzer caled jan hammer! \m/

  • Weasel dust!

  • LOL You can faintly hear Frank say at 3:19

"You got to be kidding me"

  • LOL... I have seen this clip about million times and did not catch that, good ears man!!

  • I lol'd so hard at that part...

  • yea and he said it for sonny crocket for taking him :D

  • It's not the heat............It's the humidity!

  • zappa as gangster is perfect

  • the "weasel dust" industry? hahahhah

  • Why are all these men wearing pyjamas?

  • yup! HAHAHA!

  • Steve vais once said that frank was a man that had the talent and intelligence to be succesfull at any other thing besides music.

    he was wrong lol.

i wonder if he did it on purpose?...

  • As he walks towards Don Johnson, he watches the ground to find his mark.

  • hahahahaha weazel dust!!!!!!!!!

  • I'd forgotten about this! I think Frank did it for the lolz, and maybe for his kids.

  • I think, I think it`s called Payback.

  • It is,one of the best shows of the series.

  • weasel dust?

  • LMAO

    this is beyond cheesy

  • Frank was smart enough to make enough cameo's(monkees and cheesy talk shows), to keep his career/music in the public eye,,, as Houdini intimated,, all publicity is good publicity,,the general public was too dumb to recognize this genius,,,,hence retarded rumours instead of more musical/philosophical recognition/support

  • I do also. Frank made a difference in my life.

  • Pure Hollywood in FLA . Frank was already ill - look at his eyes. Miami Vice probably paid well; I dont blame him. They could have directed him better though. His speech about Marotto was quite good - but you cant see him as it is all cut-aways, also the way he looked when our heroes arrive was solid. It gets really unconvincing when they start to tussle and they even do a limbo dance on that crap when they force him to swim.... he holds his nose???

  • Genial serie, sólo escuchen su música

  • Come on! The music is great for this scene!!!

  • ahhahahaah! funny scene when they ask him to jump off the boat!!!

  • "Weasel Dust"? Sounds like something Frank would have thought up. Maybe they were thinking of "Weasels Ripped my Flesh".

I'm sorry, I'm one of Frank's biggest fans and I think that he should have stuck with his music and not guest in shows like this. He was a musician, not a actor.

  • zappa sorta looks like borat. i never realised that till now xD

  • Weasel dust?! 1:40 When I look back on all the things I did in the 80s,I seem to have completely missed the weasel dust boat. *sigh* I guess I just wasn't cool enough to get invited to any weasel dust parties. Which is probably for the best, maybe thats what got Richard Gere into his "troubles".

Almost everything popular in the 80s had a slimy, corporate, sheen of suck all over it.

As this clip clearly demonstrates...Music Is The Best.

Weasels ripped my flesh dust perhaps?

  • This is a work of genius. It's so very cool that Frank Zappa did this show! Very clever, witty and fierce!

  • I wish I could tango with him like that.

  • Ha Ha! Zappa gets away! LOL. I never knew he was on an episode of Miami Vice!

  • What a sound !!!!!!

  • So let me get this right: they hire cultural icon and musical genius Frank Zappa to play a big time drug dealer, they set him up to be all scary, and then they don't even shoot him or something? They don't even arrest him??? They just drive off in the boat chuckling? Somebody in the Miami Vice production office must have been doing a lot of weasel dust. I like to think of FZ pocketing the cheque and wondering what studio equipment to buy with it...

  • @lexo30 Yep

  • @dopeurwhatuuse I remember marking this on my calander just because Zappa was in this episode, lol

  • man...i was hooked on weasel dust....haha

  • Ahhh that damn Weasel Dust!

  • the show was awesome..i didn't like season 1/2 because of the smoking and fake daytona but the music and clothes and scenes were good..i miss summer

  • He just jumps in.

  • Apparently, he's a great actor too.

  • I agree. He's hilarious in this clip.

  • I have wanted to see this clip again for as many years as it has been - since it first aired. I have referenced, " my favorite Dollars, " every time I payed out to anyone. I am grateful to see it here again. However in retrospect it was pretty lame. Was I too young to realize that this show sucked? Cause Zappa was hilarious.

  • frank zappa should have named one of his albums "weasel dust"

  • I remember this so well. You are right he played himself and did a hell of a job!!!! Everything he did was great!!!! There will be many fans, but I think I got to be #1. God Bless Frank!!!!!

  • I think he did pretty good. He just played himself, and that was enough to go on.

  • That's way show died... Aliens in Miami Vice :(

  • 3:38 - 3:50 gimmes me a huge smile!

  • That's fantastic. Frank Zappa ... what a guy!

  • Great music and great sounding big blocks on the Scarab!!!!!!

  • Hmmm...I'm interested in this so called "Weasel Dust"...

  • I remember this.

    I am Frank's biggest fan.

    But actor?

    NO.

  • This was probably the high point in this crappy show.

  • wow. I can complain all I want about the state of today's TV, but this show SUCKED! The acting and dialog is dispicable! Oh well, FZ lives.

  • i think the way he dive is pretty cool

  • I think it was actually a stunt-double who did the whole diving and swimming in the end ;)

  • Why are Frank Zappa and the guy wearing white wearing polyester suits?

(And which one of them is the worst actor? That's a question for the ages, they both suck. And not in a good way.)

  • Why the hell does ANYONE watch Miami Vice?

  • Hell, Zappa outacted Don Johnson in my opinion. The show was ridiculous. There is no way the other gunman on that boat would not have gotten a clean shot on either Crockett or Tubbs. Real life isn't anything like Miami Vice, which wouldnt have been a problem if the show didn't take itself seriously, but it did. A cops and robbers cartoon is what it was. That "fashion" actually took hold for about two years also with loser men. It was ridiculous to see A-holes in blazers with no socks...

  • Wonderfullllllllllllllllllll...!

  • I agree !

  • Man, was he a bad actor. But my favourite composer of all time though :)

  • He don't look like he's playing, he looks and act as odd as always and that's the way we like it :D

  • was frank zappa on any other shows/ movies?

  • ...very expensive in Brazil.

  • the music in this clip is awesome...jan hammer rules!!

  • The music is great - it's wasted talent, however. "Weasel dust"; what a sappy cartoon. I suspect this 5 minute clip explains the plot so well we needn't waste our time with the other 43 minutes of it...

  • zappa just out acted don with his nose............lol man that show sucked

  • Realy a big nose.

  • it's a honker

  • Hey, I've seen that guy before! He ripped me off on a shirt full of dried muffin remnants! And he told me it was a mexican poncho, but it wasn't, it was from Sears! Bastard!

  • i was a little dissapointed that zappa´s appearence in this episode was so short, but that´s probably the cool thing about it.and how cool zappa really is.making eyebrows!!!

and hey, also love the backgroundmusic here.

  • frank zappa para presidente!

    hauahu

  • He could o just ripped a solo and blasted Crocket and Tubbs overboard

  • HA! Weasel dust.

  • I have a serious weasel dust addiction

  • Now that's cheapnis!!

  • NICE!

  • Ok. I've already season I. I'll try buy the next pack.

  • He can act too! He was the man.

  • I agree. But he died in 1.993. I'm sorry.
